Frye's Adrienne Boot -
I ordered grey expecting a lighter color, but I did speak with the representative who let me know that it looked like a light brown-hard to describe, but I liked them anyway and kept them. Great construction, pretty comfortable, and cute. Worth it.

Beautiful boot -
These boots look great. I get a lot of compliments on them. However, they are not comfortable, especially compared to other Frye shoes.

I love this boot. Versatile style and nice fit.
PROS: True to size 7 fit for me, even with thin athletic cotton socks. And the style! Not too old school, not too urban, not too dressed up, not too casual, so it works with almost everything. It's not a snug fit around the calf for me, but looks good with jeans tucked in or with a bare leg. Bought the dark brown which accommodates the look of scuffs and scratches nicely. Has served me adequately, as well as heels can, through this NYC winter. CONS: The heel is a little too high and too wide for my feet (I have high arches) and becomes uncomfortable for regular pedestrian travel.

Frye Adrienne Button Boot -
The "gray" boot is not gray at all! It is totally brown - there's no question it is brown. However, the look of this boot is absolutely gorgeous and would be worth the money, IF these were wearable. These are some of the most uncomfortable boots I've tried from Zappos so far and I estimate I've tried about 20 in the past year. I immediately noticed that the part right above the toes felt like it was crushing down on top of them. Who knows, maybe I just got one that was bent where it shouldn't be - I only tried on the left and hated it so much, I didn't even try on the right. You are very lucky if you're one of the people who found this boot comfortable because it is by far one of the prettiest boots I've ever seen! Pretty = 5 stars. Comfort = TWO stars.

Not at all what I expected -
I fell for this boot when I first saw it and I can’t say that I’m that excited with it after its arrival at my door. Opening the box and I was hit with the worst petrochemical smell that my eyes watered. Since when does the made in USA Frye company create their boots in China? The color isn’t grey at all but a very, VERY ugly mud dirt. The zipper seams are ruffled and unkempt and the entire look along the leg is old marmish. The heel is cheap. For the cost, this boot falls way short of a bargain. The Adrienne may sell out quickly for Fall, but it shouldn’t be a sell out that Frye should be proud of. Just say no. I did and I'm still trying to wash the chemical tanning smell off my hands.

Sad!
I was so excited when I saw this boot because in the photo, it looks mod and sleek. However, I was very disappointed to see that this boot is a lot bigger (in the shaft) in person. These boots may work over thick jeans, but they still "bag out" around the ankle. If you are looking for a fitted boot, this is not the boot for you.
