Fun colors, good toe protection but overall wide and not as adjustable as I would like. They are durable and excellent for going on wet or muddy adventures.

Overall I really like these shoes. I have a 17 month old who wears a size 5 (although a little big he'll grow into it and wear all summer). The rubber toe is the best! It's already come in very handy and you can see the wear on it from what would have been a lot of toe stubbing. Like other reviewers have mentioned these shoes do make my sons feet stink. After a full day at daycare when he takes them off at home you can really smell those feet. They also rub a little around the side of his foot, just where the top of the sandal hits. It doesn't seem to bother him and after taking it off the redness goes away in a couple minutes, so I don't think it's an issue. I would still buy another pair and recommend to anyone with a walking/running toddler. He seems to like them.

These are overall great for my 16 month old, but I did notice him slipping a few times on concrete with some sand on it.

These shoes are overall great. My son can climb almost anything in them and they have a great grip. They look great too! The only problem with them is that my son's feet SMELL HORRIBLE after wearing them. Seriously. And he is only 2! I have never had this problem with any other shoe. Fortunately they wash easily. I do find myself hesitating to put them on him because I'm not sure I can deal with the stink after... yikes!

Easy to put on, comfy and great for sand/water play, but it gives your little one's feet the stinkies! I actually think it's cute (you know, besotted mom) and he thinks it's funny that his feet smell, but if you're not into that...go buy Natives. Those gave my son blisters (shape of feet issue, I think), but never ever smelled.

My 2 1/2 year old son adores these shoes, he hasn't wanted to wear anything else since we got them. The colors are bright and cheery. My only complaint is his feet don't smell great after a day of wear. This may be the case with any sandal worn all day in the heat though.

These shoes are adorable but Keen toddler shoes are extremely small. My son wears a 6.5/7 toddler and these were at least 1 to 1 1/2 size smaller

These are great shoes. my kids love them, and they are super versatile. The only negative thing about this particular model is that it makes my daughter's feet stink. I think it's because it's all artificial material and more enclosed than the larger sizes. my older daughter has a slightly different model with the gray sole, which does not have this problem. other than that, these are awesome shoes!

I ordered a size 7 for my 2-year-old and they were incredibly small -- at the time he was wearing a size 6 in other shoe brands like See Kai Run and Pediped. I think they must have been mislabeled; they seemed even smaller than a 6. I then order a size 8, which were way too big. Sent both back and customer service sent me another pair of 7s, which were bigger than the first pair and a little too big on him, but will work. I definitely think these run small. My son can still wear 6s or 6.5s in other shoe brands. Overall these are great shoes, excellent quality. He doesn't have any problems running around in them and I love that they can be machine-washed and dried. We do have to make the velcro strap really tight since they're a little big and I do worry about the velcro holding up as it almost seems a little worn out already, but these are definite favorites for the summer and besides the velcro I think they'll last all season.

These are so cute, but I’m shocked at the inconsistent sizing. We have a pair of last year’s version of these same shoes in a size 6. We ordered a size 7, and it’s smaller than the size 6 shoes we have (another review from 2011 mentioned this exact issue with the same sizes). I’m going to exchange them, but I honestly don’t know if I should get a size 8? A size 9? He wears a 7 in every other pair of shoes he has (North Face, Ten Little, Cat & Jack, Ikiki), his size is confirmed with measurement on a standard shoe sizer in the store.

Looked so cute, perfect color to match all outfits but gave my son blisters even though it's the right size. Very disappointed!

These felt a little heavier than what would seem comfortable for a summer shoe, so we returned them to find something lighter.

It was fine in length but it was so big around my daughters ankle and top of foot.

I know there are a lot of good reviews here, but somehow, these did not work for us. Though the size was certainly right, these slipped off my toddler's feet. He kept tripping in them, but since you can see right through the sides, it was very clear that we couldn't have gone a size smaller.

They are a little narrow for my daughter who has wide and tall feet, which makes them hard to get on.

My two year old wore these and after about a week his feet really started to STINK. It's funny that the shoes say ant-odor because they are odorific. I really wanted to like these shoes because, besides the stink, they're super cute. BUT, after 3 weeks of wear, my little guy got a painful blister the size of his whole big toe! I measured his feet before we bought them too.

I have bought Keens since 2006, and annually buy the Keen Newport for my children for summer. This is the first time I have ever returned a pair. It seems the shoe has undergone a redesign (and I have a half dozen pairs of these laying around - I looked!) and the toddler version has some troubling changes. 1) The nylon straps are thinner. 2) I swear the velcro strap that closes the shoe is shorter, making fit harder. 3) Most troubling, the elastic laces are now only decorative. That's right, you can't tighten the shoe with the laces - only the now-too-short velcro strap. I love these for their sandal with closed toe and heel that can get wet and not slip (former) capabilities, but now my husband and I struggled to fit these to my son's foot. They fell off his feet 4 times in an hour while he just played in the grass! I can no longer recommend these at their price point, and we'll be looking for another style/brand this year. Or maybe last year's Keens on eBay.

These shoes are adorable but we found that the back does not go up high enough on the heels and they slip off when our toddler runs.
