I like this shoe very much. It is super super comfortable, although I would not say "right out of the box perfection." For example, the toe box is a bit stiff (as at least one other reviewer noted) but after a bit of wear it softens and adds to the overall comfort of the shoe. Also, I agree with another reviewer who noted that the shoe's heel can slip a bit - which I noted occurs when I try to wear the heel strap high up on my heel -- while I'm no shoe designer, I think this shoe's heel strap is meant to be worn lower on the foot. It takes a bit of getting used to, but since wearing them in this fashion, I've not been bothered by slippage. Also, I love the velcro adjustable strap on the top of the shoe. Nice to be able to adjust at day's end when they might be a bit swollen. Can be worn with or without hose. Overall a beautiful and different-looking shoe which is very comfortable and has earned me compliments. Worth the money in my opinion.

These shoes are super cute and flattering and they go with practically everything. Very cushion-y to step into. The top of the shoe above the toes is a bit stiff and needs some breaking in. I am glad I bought these and will definitely be wearing them with trousers in the fall.

The shape of these shoes is really cute, although the open back is a bit odd. I had to add some heel grippers to get them to grip my heel. I get tons of compliments when I wear them. They are pretty comfortable given the high heel height. They run true to size and width.

So far I really like these shoes and plan to buy a brown pair when they come into stock. I like the roomy toe and platform style. So it doesn't feel like I'm walking in a typical high heel. Great style and I got lots of compliments on them. A concern is that I have narrow feet and I like the adjustable strap on top, but it slipped a little still and the strap was making the top of the foot a little sore by the end of an 8 hour day in them.

Very comfortable on the bottom of my foot. A little too tight on the top, so I'm hoping they will stretch, no luck yet and I've worn them about 10 times. Cute shoe and versatile.

I purchased these at a retail outlet (for slightly more) - agree with other reviewers that they are cute, pretty comfortable for the apparent heel height; but also are a bit stiff and tight in the two box. They are softening a slight bit, but are still are rigid. One thing no one else mentioned - I find if I wear hose with these, at some point the velcro manages to snag it (perhaps I should stop crossing my legs/ankles?!). Still hoping I can get them to stretch a bit more as they are so cute - a funky mary jane.

Stylish, very attractive and very comfortable. If you have a thin heel, it may not 'grab' well in the back... but easily solved with a heel adhesive along the back. Am a true 7.5 and these fit perfectly. Wish there were a few more colors in my size.

These shoes are such a relief: comfortable AND flattering. I don't have the most dainty ankles or calves and this asymmetrical strap elongates even the shortest leg. Could walk in them all day, don't even notice that you're 3-plus inches up. Warning, nude color is pretty dark on a pale leg.

These shoes are great! I hardly ever wear heels but needed a pair for a dressy event. They are comfy and stylish in a sleek futuristic sort of way. I love the velcro mary-jane strap.

These shoes are beautiful! I love the retro look.They are very comfortable except for the front of the shoe is a bit tight. I am hoping that it will stretch out a bit after I wear them in.

Not for summer - When I put these on in the store I was soo amazed at the comfort, that I bought two pairs. While very comfortable in cool weather, they turn into little torture jerks when it's hot.

Comfy, but a trifle narrow in front - Yes, a bit or more than a bit narrow in the toe box area, even though the toe is rounded. The shoe is rather stiffly constructed, so this isn't likely to change over time. The platform is incorporated in a very attractive and comfortable way, and the wide band in back is super-comfortable. The shoe doesn't budge once you put it on.

Right size! Shoe is a 9.5 US which I now find hard to find in stores. Love this shoe. Saw it in a mall and tracked the right size to Zappos. Thanks.

Break These Cuties In First - I read many of the Zappos reviews of this shoe before purchasing. So I knew the criticisms and they were right on the mark: narrow through the toe bed, particularly if your feet are wide through the toes or you have a bunion; heel strap is loose - not a snug fit. However, you must try this shoe on to see if it works for your foot. I wear a 7M, ordered a 7-1/2M, and the extra length must have helped with the toe bed problem. That is, it is tight, but not unbearable and loosened up with wear. This narrowness in the toe seams make the shoe tight enough to stay on without a snug strap. In addition, the strap is very wide so my heel never slipped out. These are just so unique and attractive. So, wear them around the house with no socks like I did and they may stretch a bit. Then, don't wear them the first time out to any place where you will be standing a lot. Be aware that the toe does turn up more than most pumps. The Zappos photos show this quite well.

Pretty but Ouch - These shoes are so beautiful. I had two compliments (from men) on the first day I wore them. But, they are stiff, stiff, stiff and they hurt after about an hour.

Pretty good fit and more comfortable than your average heel. Not the kind of shoe you'd wear on an all day walking tour, but still the most comfy heel I’ve tried that doesn't look like grandma gave it to me.

Finally, a heel I don't want to toss! First off, the look of these is great. They're so sexy & cute. I can't get over how awesome they look on. I can never stay too long in heels, but these are pretty comfortable. I feel like the open back keeps blisters on the heel at bay. They certainly don't feel as high as they are when wearing them. I'm in love with this shoe!

Cool shoe, not so comfortable. I love the look of this shoe. I got the Mecca/chartreuse combo and it's a deep brown that goes well with a lot of clothes. The red would probably have been more exciting and fun, but I still like them. As others say here, they're not as comfortable as they look. The height is great and the sling is very soft and comfortable. The velcro is strong keeping the shoe in place, but they do dig into the top of your foot near the opening. I hope they stretch out!

Pros and Cons - I just received the grey/hibiscus today and will be returning them, but was very close to keeping them. Pros: very cute shape, love the seam in the toe, the angled strap, no problems with fit or comfort (often my feet are too wide for shoes). Cons: a lump of velcro where a cute buckle could be - I can see myself embarrassed to admit I'm wearing velcro shoes. The pink accent color does show on the sole and top and limits the versatility. I prefer to wear this style of shoe without socks and the vcelcro pokes my feet. Also, wearing without socks makes a sound every time I step (not cool). Overall, I just wouldn't be able to wear them enough to justify keeping them. Maybe in the future I'll decide to buy in another color to wear with socks. They are so close, yet no cigar.

Know your own foot! If other shoes you've tried wearing cut into the top of your foot, this one will too! The reviews on this shoe were mixed but I loved the looks of it, so I took a chance & bought a pair (in red). I wouldn't say it was a mistake, but I will not be able to wear it as often as I'd hoped for. I received TONS of compliments on it, though--& I especially loved the red color; it goes with almost anything. The shoe is very stable, especially for someone not used to wearing heels this high. I can wear an 8.5 if the shoe is wide enough; but this was Med so I ordered it in a 9 & it fit well (8.5 would've been WAY too tight in the toes). To break them in a little, I put some gel heel inserts on TOP of my feet, right at the base of my toes since that's where the top of the shoe dug in. That stretched them a little so when I wore them "for real" they weren't as bad. This is a good shoe for me to wear to work (desk job) as long as I'm not going to be on my feet much.
