As a brand, I just love Arcopedico. Regarding sizing, it seems consistent across styles. For instance, even though Arcopedico advises ordering the Scala 1/2 size larger, I ordered it in my usual European size 38 and found it to be sufficiently roomy. It has a strap that moves from outside to inside across the top of the foot and then crosses back over itself (the bottom part is velcro) to the outside. For those who are constantly dealing with straps that are too short, this one is definitely adequate in size. The leather on the Scala is very soft -- just like the leather on the Arcopedico Vitoria. Unlike the Vitoria, however, the Scala is currently available in fewer solid colors. Flower patterns, yes, and black, pewter and navy as well, but no red, brown or purple left on the website. Clearly the red, brown and gorgeous purple -— the purple can be seen in the Zappos video —- sold out quickly. I really wanted the purple ones so I Googled them and found only 1 site that had that color in my size. Unfortunately, I just reported the vendor, whom I hadn’t herd of previously, to Amex, because after 3 weeks, I still haven’t received the shoes and have not received responses to my email inquiries either. Obviously this is not Zappos’ outstanding reliability, nor its extraordinary 1 day service. I’m still hoping that Zappos will be able to restock this style — or a similar one — in purple. ~ HARP

I plan on taking these with me on my upcoming trip to Europe. They are were immediately comfortable and it hasn't taken very long to break them in. Very versatile.

Beautiful shoe; however, I have a high arch and the strap buckle rubbed on my foot. I really hate to send these back.

I just returned from a five-week trip to Europe which involved a lot of walking. I took the navy Arcopedico Scala plus another pair (other style). I ended up wearing the Arcopedicos almost exclusively because, although I sometimes was exhausted from so much walking, my feet were fine and never hurt. In addition, the shoes look nice enough for going out in the evening. I also have these shoes in pewter (gray) and just ordered a pair in black. If they came in beige or light tan, I'd buy those too. By the way, I wear a size 39 in Mephistos but needed a size 40 to get the same fit in these.

I tried both the 40 and 41 (I'm usually a perfect size 9 who likes plenty of room in the toe box) and found 41 a much better fit. Size 40 was okay, but with 41 I can put in a little arch support & walk in them for hours without socks. Totally comfortable! The pewter is a lovely neutral with just enough shine to make it special. The shoe itself is very light and soft. Very happy with my purchase and the Zappos experience!

I have narrow heel, need width due to bunions in toebox. These provide both, and although not so super stylish, they are good looking enough. I wear them to work daily and have two colors. Just wish they came in some alternative colors to floral; I am not a floral kinda gal! I would love some beige or denim or green! They are VERY comfortable and from the first second out of the box.

The shoes came quickly & packaged so well. This brand shoe is most comfortable, been wearing the solid colored shoes for years. These flower shoes are even cuter in person. Don't know why I waited so long to get them.

This is an incredibly comfortable shoe with outstanding support. I forget I'm wearing shoes. Lightweight yet substantial. Not trendy or fashion-forward but cute enough.

The flower pattern is gorgeous - overall a nice wide comfy shoe without being frumpy. I agree with the advice to order a half size down. The material is very stiff out of the box - I would not order these for a special occasion if you don't have time to break them in.

Comfortable and so lightweight, feels like walking on a cloud, right out of the box! Very impressed. Seriously considering more in other colors.

I've always liked Arcopedico but haven't bought them in a few years. I'd been looking for good flats for the summer to walk in (I walk everywhere), and had looked at these cute floral design for a while. Finally took the plunge and I just love them. Wore them outside for the first time this morning, and within barely a minute of walking out of my building, a neighbor who walked out at the same time as I did gushed over these and how adorable they are and where could she get a pair! Most important, though, is they were good and comfy for my entire walk.

I have been buying the Arcopedico for several years. Every pair has been comfortable right out of the box. This shoe is comfortable and cute!

I bought these shoes in black last summer, right before a trip to Paris. I knew that I would be walking a lot, and I looked long and hard for shoes that I thought would be comfortable on 18 hour days. These were perfect from day one. They are a little more expensive than I generally pay for shoes but totally worth it. I went online today in hopes of buying them in tan or gold, to better match tan slacks, but there is nothing in the brown tones, except the floral patterns, which are so cute, but harder to pull off with a broad range of clothes. So today I strike out, but I recommend these shoes highly for people in search of really comfortable shoes. I wore them last summer with no socks, and wore them in the fall and spring with socks, and they were always totally great.

These are my fourth pair of these shoes and I love them. Just returned from a trip and received numerous compliments on them. I first bought them over ten years ago to wear on trips instead of tennis shoes. Now that they come in prints I wear them all the time. They are so comfortable and you can walk forever in them.

Love these shoes. They are very cute and I always get compliments on them. But most important of all, they are incredibly comfortable to wear.

Just got these in the white floral. They are sooo cute. My usual size fits fine. The colors of the flowers will let you wear these shoes with so many outfits. Nice substantial bottom to these shoes also. Good support.

I read a review that says this style runs a little large - so instead of my usual European 37 I ordered 36. These shoes are perfect and very comfortable. The purple goes with many of my outfits and looks great with white crop leggings and any color top. Because I totally love shoes, I have put both the green and white flower print in "my favorites."

I wear a perfect size 6. I almost purchased a size larger because of the warning that they might run small, but because I already had a pair, I knew that a 6 really fits a size 6 foot. It is perfect. If someone sometimes wears a 6 1/2 then I would recommend the next size. However, for me the fit is exactly right and these are truly the most comfortable shoes. I love the wide, roomy toe box and they look very nice.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box! I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase! These gorgeous shoes have soft leather uppers and a cushy leather insole with great arch support. They are as comfortable as my favorite slippers. I could walk in them all day. I purchased the white floral pattern. LOVE these shoes! Happy feet!

I have "impossible" feet that are large, flat and have bunions. It is almost impossible for me to find comfortable shoes. These are comfortable. I can stand at a party for a couple hours and not have pain.

Very comfortable with no break in period. Obviously not the most stylish or feminine of shoes, but I think a great alternative to Danskos or Sanitas for those who work on their feet.

Love these shoes. Very comfortable. Had to send first pair back because my toe hit the end of the shoe. Ordered next size up and adjusted the strap to accommodate any looseness. Worked great!

These run 1/2 size larger than my size. I put an inner sole inside and now they are very comfortable. I have terrible bunions, in addition, my feet are very sensitive to pain. I can walk for hours without pain in these shoes. I will definitely order another pair.
