Love the Velcro straps for when you're in a rush and don't want to tie your shoes.

I sized up a half size and they fit beautifully. They're pretty comfortable, but this is only my initial review. I'm sure with time, they'll be super comfortable. I highly recommend them. Also, the top strap can sort of feel a little snug around the top of the foot, glad these Velcro straps are adjustable. It helped to loosen the top one.

My son has intellectual disabilities as well as autism. His hand/eye coordination is not very strong. Tying shoes has always been a struggle for him. Vans Old Skool velcro shoes gives my son the independence of dressing himself for school as well as the cool shoe design that gives him the confidence he needs among his peers. THANK YOU for giving kids an easy shoe to put on while keeping their sense of fashion, comfortability, and "coolness."
