Beats J&M - I've been a loyal J&M customer for 30 years or so, but as their quality has slipped of late, I decided to try another brand. These shoes look and feel more substantial than a similar J&M shoe I have, so I'm pleased.

Good shoe - Good shoe, but not a great shoe when compared to my Johnston & Murphy dress shoe. Fits well, quiet heels, good appearance. A bit slippery on tile or vinyl floors.

I've had three pairs: two that I bought in a Cole Haan retail store, and one in a dept. store. All three pairs lasted many years, but all three took weeks of wear to break in, resulting my heels being extremely sore where the top of the shoe met my heel.

A previous pair of Cole Haans lasted 8 years and was resoled several times. Great pair of shoes! The best I have had. Then I bought the same style from Zappos. Within a couple months the stitching was coming loose. Zappos replaced them with no hassle. Now I have had this replacement for two and one half years... (twice resoled) and it is already time for a replacement! (I might wear these shoes two or three times per week). I feel that the quality of Cole Haan has really gone downhill. I am ready to try another brand.

Stretched - Within the first week the shoes had stretched to the point that in order for me to wear them, without them falling off, I had to wear 2 pair of socks.

Very nice shoe. Very nice look. The toe of the shoes scuffed badly in normal walking very quickly. In less than a month the shoes was no longer wearable. Rest of the shoe was fine. Had to throw away. Bad design, I have had this problem with no other shoe I have ever had.

Toe scuff so bad that shoe is no longer wearable - Love the look of the shoe but the toe scuffed so badly that the shoe is wasted. Shoe is garbage ready way before its time.

LOW quality! I purchased a pair in Nov 07 and by Jan the metal support within the heel/sole was making a clicking sound when walking. Absolutely the worst quality shoes I have ever purchased! I do not understand why everyone is rating them so high.

Picked out the shoes, ordered, delivered, and all is well. Would highly recommend for individuals that know what they want and have a good idea of what the shoes should cost.

Stylish and versatile dress shoe - not too fussy, not too casual. Well-constructed with nice, thick outsole and solid heel. Feels true to size. Good value for the price. Highly recommended.

My husband loves this loafer! He bought the same one years ago and finally wore a hole in one sole. He opted not to take advantage of their re-sole offer due to the time it would take plus shipping charges. He wears 11.5 W, it fits perfectly, and he raves how comfortable it is. We agree it's a very classy shoe!

The wide i purchased was cut narrow for a medium.

ordered pinch tassel direct from the factory. I have worn only pinch tassel for the past 25 years and had no problem. this time the shoe felt narrow so i measured the width and it was a full 5/16" narrow sole than my other pinch tassels. Not very impressed with the way Cole Haan handled the replacement. Its like if they make it difficult enough I will go away

My husband has worn this exact style for years and loved it. We ordered three sizes and none of them fit. Love the shoe and style but for some reason, the fit was off. However, the service from Zappos was and is exceptional. Each representative was courteous and very focused on giving excellent customer service.

I’ve been buying these shoes for 30 years, and have probably purchased 25 pairs of pinch tassel. Never again. The shoes that arrived are no longer the same quality and are NOT AS PICTURED on the web page. The quality of materials and craftsmanship is now aweful. They’re literally using less leather and less thread in the construction. I returned them and will never purchase again. Shame on Cole Hahn.

A very good looking shoe. When a smaller size is available I will order another one but smaller.
