Many years ago I had a pair of shoes that were called "Floaters". The GBX 13080 is closest to one of my favorite shoes. The thick looking sole gives my foot stability side to side. The suede chukka styling gives it the versatility to be worn dressy casual.

The first pair I have ordered fall apart after about 5 weeks of occasional wearing. Called Zappos, they were very helpful, accepted and processed my return quickly, send the money back to my account, and even set a reminder for when my size will be available again, which did informed me, when they had the shoes in my size in stock again. I did reorder them and got my new pair. Very satisfied with the service.

My favorite GBX shoe was the black suede 8541, but this 13080 is not as nice. I bought this shoe, hoping it was like the 8541, and was disappointed. The 8541 was a better quality shoe. I had contacted GBX via their website to inquire if they still carried the 8541 and GBX did not respond. The shoe strings on the 8541 lasted the entire life of the shoe, but the shoe strings on this shoe both broke within two months. The suede on this shoe, the 13080, is short, not too thick at all. This shoe does not have the arch support that GBX's 8541 did. GBX's 8541 was one of the best shoes I've ever owned. GBX's 13080 was a let down after their 8541.

I love the feel of this shoe, and it's very comfortable. It's a little larger then the size you would need. I have flat feet, so the shoe was able to accommodate extra pair of shoe pads. The support insoles that come with the shoe are great, but I require more support with my shoes. It's a shoe you can wear with jeans to kick around in, or to work with some cords. I've gotten plenty of compliments already on how nice the shoes look! It's a winner for the price, comfort, and style.

I really like the look of these boots, very simple but sharp looking. Some kind of shoe insert or foot pad is a must for these shoes because there is no cushion in the shoe itself. But with a simple pair of cheap Dr Scholl's, I have been very happy with these shoes. So far very durable and easy to clean/maintain. I would definitely buy these again at the price I paid.

GBX sand suede - A great pair of shoes for the money. 2 days to break in-then very comfortable. Great style with a unique sole. Arch support is moderate. True to size. Zappos customer service and shipping is 5 stars.

One month review - Generally, I prefer slip on shoes, but I haven't had any issues with the shoe lace slipping during the days wear. The first day wear, my Achilles heel was a little sore from the back of the shoe rubbing against it, but since then it has not been an issue. Overall, this is a comfortable and attractive shoe for work and with jeans. I'd like to see this shoe in a dark brown color.

For the price of this boot it should fit perfectly. There is just not enough support/arch support/cushion. How can Zappos sell something that is not top notch for the money charged? I'm disappointed. I think Daniel Day Lewis had it right when he went to Europe to become a cobbler. Shoes should be made for the individual.

Squeaky but comfortable - The shoes are a great value. They're comfortable, durable, and have a classic look. However, they do SQUEAK. I'm going to try replacing the insole with a Dr. Scholl’s or Nike product and hopefully that will eliminate the annoying squeak. Otherwise, it's a great look, comfortable feel, and certainly an inexpensive must-have shoe.

They are so much better than the picture displays. Comfortable and look amazing. I wore them and received lots of compliments. The suede is butter soft. I got them in the grey and the color is awesome. Great shoe for the price.

Great Casual Shoe - I had been looking for a pair of Purple ankle boots for years. Hadn't been able to find any since the early 90's. I finally found a pair of purple GBX in these boots (don't know why they don't have the purple ones here on Zappos). I was so excited I ended up ordering 2 pair! They are so very stylish and comfortable and I get never-ending compliments. I did not find that they ran large. I wear a size 11 and that's the size I ordered. They fit perfectly.

30 years of wearing this style: GBX Supreme Version - This is an excellent shoe. I have been wearing this style of casual shoe for 30 years. But, no maker manufactures this shoe like GBX. Super comfortable, stylish, and varied. Superb!! Thank you.

GBX's 13080 - I work in a desert community in SO Calif., I'm walking on hot asphalt all day. The GBX 13080 is so far the most comfortable shoe for these conditions. I plan on buying a couple more pairs. They are very affordable.

Great shoe!! Hello, well I just bought this shoe in black and I love them. I just took them out of the box and have them on now as I pen this testimonial. I did a lot of review and testimonial reading before I pulled the trigger as many reviews suggested that the shoes run a 1/2 size big so I took that into account when I bought these. I normally buy an 11 and decided to take the consistent advice and go a 1/2 smaller and that was the perfect call for me. They fit like a clove and are very attractive and hip and cool looking. Zappos.com was brilliant with the free shipping and fast delivery. My shipment came by FedEx and arrived less than 48 hours after I bought them online. Brilliant. Absolutely zero % hassle or issues or problems. I am a very satisfied customer and will be purchasing another color next week. Yipppeeee!! Lol.

Retro Look - This is an excellent boot to wear with casual clothes. The 1970's retro look of the famous mushroom sole shoes is a plus and I get plenty of compliments everytime I wear these shoes to different occasions. They are light and very comfortable.

Buy these shoes. Excellent pair of shoes… very comfortable & versatile. The first pair I returned because they were a little large and I decided I liked the lighter color rather than dark brown. I normally wear a size 12, but in these, I wear a size 11 1/2. Great customer service, too.

Great Boot - I purchased these for my husband and he loves them. They look great on his feet, and he says they are very comfortable. Very good purchase for style and comfort. Will probably purchase a pair in black soon.

TRUE TO SIZE - Did find the boots true to size, nice looking and comfortable.

Nice, casual, sizing issues - Great looking shoe. Was quite warm, even on a cold day. Main issue (for this shopper) was that the 9.5 was a big, roomy 9.5 (almost like a 10 -too much so to keep them), and the 9 was a snug 9 (not a half size larger than marked - too small to keep). So, if you're an almost 10, usually, these are your shoes. If you're a small 9.5, go with the 9s. First time I've ever been between sizes. Bummer, as they are very stylish, and appear to be well-made.

Squeaky - The shoes look great, but they squeak loudly when I walk. Apparently, that's because the insole is a little rubbery. I replaced the insoles and the squeaking stopped. However, the shoes aren't as comfortable as I expected. I would probably have returned them if I hadn't wore them for a day (not to mention having already put the box and the return label in the recycle).

Its ok - I kind of wish I hadn't bought them. I normally wear a 9.5 to 10 and found them snug. The upper feels flimsy and it's an odd old fashioned crepe sole on the bottom. I prefer the more traditional desert boot.
