Great boot, replaced my Catalyst Vx boots with these as the Catalyst boots only lasted 3 months and quite impressed. These weren't uncomfortable to break in at all, just took a little bit to get used to the heel as it feels taller than any of my previous boots. I really like the slightly lower shaft as its 12" with deep cut outs. Feels great to ride in as well, easy to get in and out of stirrups, etc

I bought this pair of boots while on a deployment. They are a true fit; a 10 is a 10. The are a good looking boot and tough. I have worn them for 3 years and have only given oil treatment and they still look great. nice looking toe. I have received many compliments. Only complaint is the right boot along the red piping, where it meets the leather, bends inward and rubbed my foot (right below my ankle). Once I broke them in this went away enough but hasn't totally disappeared. I don't think all boots have this flaw I think it was just mine. I recommend this boot!

I sell ariats and really liked these boots when Phil Holden showed these boots to me. When I got these boots they fit right away the only downside is how to keep these boots from being sock eaters? Overall a great boot with great eye appeal and rugged toughness.

Well worth the money. I knew they would run big and they do stretch a little. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 for my sneakers and work boots but for these boots I got a size 9 and I'm considering going down another half size. Overall they are fantastic.

I am a 12D in sneakers and my brannock size is 11B (11D in most other boots are for me as well). These Ariats, however, don't fit quite right. They were super tight around the mid of my foot out of the box, so they felt like they fit, but as they've broken in my feet slide forward anything I can walk downhill and it blisters my feet. I should've gotten a 10.5D, but by the time I figured it out, it was too late. So be careful when you try these on to make note of this and consider ordering a half size down.

Leather started to crack along inner ankle area within first week of wearing. The leather is cheaper than the last pair of Ariats I owned.

They are comfortable. I would not recommend these to any men that are fat as myself. I work as a rancher and I had these boots for 2 months. After about 2 months of wearing these boots, The stitching along the heel blew out and my foot slid out and I now use them as sandals. Every thing has a purpose.

Not nearly as good of boot as the "iron cowboy". Please start making them again. I've tried several different styles and none come close. Bring back the IRON COWBOY

Got my first pair when I was a wrangler, acid from citrus ruined them when I was a barback. I'm about to replace my 3rd pair. They have been good. I wear them almost every day. Each pair has lasted about 2 years. I've resoled them once before because the rubber heel wears down. The leather around the toe break seems to be the first thing to wear out anyway. They dont handle salty winters very well. Great slip control. I oiled them regularly to extend life. Looking to get something more waterproof next time. Maybe suede. I have no complaints about these boots. Wish they lasted longer but I wore them almost everyday. I wear my Danners a lot too and I've had them 10 years, for reference.

My left foot fits like a dream but the right one is tight. I tried the same style on, but a different color at the boot store and it fit great. However the pair I received in the mail didn’t fit the same

I’m about done trying to buy Cowboy boots online. I have a gift certificate to Zappos so I have to keep trying. I have a pair of black Ariats, which I’ve hard for a few years and absolutely love. The brown version of the boot is perpetually out of stock, so I keep trying to find a different boot. So, this boot is the third or fourth boot I tried. I’m normally a 10.5 or 11, with normal width. The black ariats are perfect and sized 10D. So that’s what I ordered for these. The quality and look is fantastic, but it is still just a half size too big and the boot is ridiculously narrow to the point of hurting. Unfortunately, they’re out of 9.5 and extra wide so I’ll never know how the boot fits or holds up when sized right.

Boots feel narrower than D medium size. Wish I would have bought the wide EE size. I wear a medium size in Asics running shoes. I had to purchase a boot stretcher to try to achieve a comfortable fit. Since this boot was not offered in the EE size or Zappos was out of them. I am slowly breaking the boots in, and this has taken days with the cowboy boot stretcher, but I am getting there. I purchased one other pair of Ariat boots size EE that fit fine.

I bought these boots about two months ago. They started squeaking about a week ago and will not stop. No matter what type of surface I walk on. They won't stop squeaking

I bought these boots about six months ago and wear them just about everyday. I put quite a few miles walking about a mile to campus every day in all conditions. I owned and wore the boots for about two months before a squeaking sound started developing in one of the boots. Before too long, the other got it too. The squeaking comes from below the base of the toes and will not go away, no matter what I try to fix it. I continue to wear them, besides when silence when walking is desired, in the hopes that they will stop. Love the boots but hate the squeaking!

Overall good workmanship and material. I am dismayed that a very hard plastic/polymer welt was used. I didn't notioce this feature until I got home and examined the boots, my fault. This welt makes the foot bed very stiff and hinders the sole to flex as it should when walking and It also contributes to a pronounced "clunk" when walking on a hard surface.

Would have rated higher but 3 days in to wearing them they started squeaking really bad, I though that maybe it was just the sole needing to be broke in but it has got worse over time.

this was my third pair of ariat boots and i love my other 2 pairs, this pair came in and immediately had what looked like crease marks all over the toe box. i was going to just keep the boots and wear them but i just can't do it with the marks all over the toe box. I will be returning these, i didn't give 1 star because the boots did seem comfortable. it's just disappointing they didn't look like they did online or like the same boots of these in different sizes i've seen in retailers.

I like the boots, they are comfy and I have done some serious miles in them. The huge problem is the rubber heel caps fall off. The heel cap on the right boot fell off out in the pasture, and I couldn't find it. I took to a local shop to get new caps on both boots. Right side fell off again and I didn't lose it that time, so I 2-part epoxied it back on. Now the left boot cap is gone, so I'm back wearing an old pair of boots, waiting for another heel cap!

Love the boot. Good construction. Nice leather upper. My sizing was questionable. After sending several contact requests to Ariat's customer service and waiting several months for a response, I've decided to return the boots. I would have rather gone into a brick and mortar shop to try them on but live overseas and had to order a pair based on the boot size print off template. No answer from customer service so Ill have to go with another boot unfortunately.

I dislike these boots because they literally grab my socks as I'm attempting to slide my foot into them. By the time my foot is where it should be in the boot my socks are very uncomfortable and tightly stretched across my toes, making my feet miserable & uncomfortable. I've tried everything I can think of to solve this issue. However, once I wear the boots a while and my foot sweets a bit I can pull them off, stretch my socks out past the end of my toes for a loser sock fit, then reinsert my foot into the boot for a somewhat more comfortable feel without the grabbing my socks so much. Also, there is some cheap fuzzy lining in the lower foot area, likely part of the problem. The final issue is that the heals of the boots are higher/taller that the front sole of the boots thus making ever step a two tap, rolling process. Rather than one seamless and smooth (rolling heal to front soul) step process. Very odd, I've never experienced that in any other boots. Im thinking about taking these boots to a cobbler for help. Possibly the heals are taller than they should be. Strange indeed! Guess in some instances, today, you still get what you pay for. Next time, spend more money and get quality boots, hopefully!!!

Had these for around 6 months, and were great, up until they started squeaking shortly after break in, then the cheap plastic welt started chipping off the heel. Everything else about them is great besides the squeak and plastic welt.
