Comfort in an attractive sandal - This Mephisto sandal has excellent comfort and is attractive too. This is a great choice for someone who has relatively narrow feet (but buys M shoes); I could leave the buckle in the middle position. The leather is soft and the shoes have a very soft padded insole. These look dressier than Birkenstocks so they will go nicely with a casual skirt; the buckle is not bulky. I wear a true size 9 (rarely a 9-1/2 and always EU 40) so I was conflicted on the size to order as 39=9 is indicated. I found the 39 too short and had to order the 40. I hope this helps with your sizing.

My all time favorite brand - This is my 9th Mephisto sandal! Can you tell how much I love this brand? This particular sandal I bought in Rose Nubuck and it is not only very soft and comfy; it is also so pretty on the feet! I highly recommend it!

The sandals are beautifully made in Portugal and a size smaller than the Mephisto Allrounder, ie. I wear a size 10, I had to order a size 11.

Mephistos are GREAT! I have 4 pair of Mephisto sandals and love them. The last pair isn't as soft as the first 3 pairs, due to the composition of the cork in the sole, making them higher. I find the size is accurate. Wish Mephisto would make another pair in camel color.

I like these sandals- This sandal is comfortable without having my feet feel confined. The material is soft and does not irritate my feet. A great sandal.

Comfortable and versatile - I have a herniated disc in my lower back that flares periodically. These sandals give great arch support and are fashionable to wear with a casual skirt or pants. I have tried many different styles and the Mephisto Afida gets my vote!

Cute, comfortable, but thin sole - This is a cute sandal especially for an orthopedically correct one. It has an easy style about it. The buckle rubbed for the first couple of wearings around the house but that is now a non issue. I kept this sandal because the suede is so soft and smooth. However, for an ortho shoe it does not offer the support of other Birks or other Mephisto's. The straps seem like they will stretch out very soon and the sole is too thin. I would wear it on a light shopping trip but not on a real walk. I have sporadic foot, knee and back issues but if you have none of those issues you'll probably love this sandal. Oh, it is flattering to the foot, and the style is versatile also as is the Stone color.

Very pretty shoe, but runs small - I ordered this shoe in a 37 which is supposed to be a size 7. This shoe runs small! I ordered it in pink and it is gorgeous. I really wanted it, so I am disappointed in the size and that I have to take the time to send it back.

Careful! The jury is out on these sandals. I found they ran a size small, but once I got the right size, they seemed very comfortable. No break in time needed. Strangely enough, for some reason when walking up stairs they don't stay on your feet and the toe hits the edge of the step. I read about this same problem in another review and now I know exactly what they meant, could be dangerous.

Returning this shoe - I love the look of this shoe on my foot BUT it does not stay tight on my foot- the other day I fell down as I took a step up a curb because it dangled from my heel and caught the edge of the cement - at 60 years old I don't like skinned knees! I've tried different buckle settings but it doesn't help- the foot bed is not all that comfortable for a shoe this expensive!

My first thought was this price for a slip-on sandal. Wow! I am not impressed. In fact, I paid less money for an off brand of slip-on sandals that I wear because they are more comfortable.
