A great find - A great shoe for my overly-flexible sensitive feet. Because of the rocker-bottom sole, they really support my feet while making my legs work harder. They are fun to walk in! They run quite small, I had to exchange them for a larger size. They have a removable insole so can accommodate orthotics, but because they run a bit narrow, you probably will need to size up quite a bit to fit them in.

MBT Shadow - I love my MBTs. I have been wearing these shoes for about 1 year now. I no longer have lower back pain or hip pain. I had knee surgery done about 6 years ago and the knee would hurt after about hours on my feet. This is no longer a problem since I have been using MBTs. I have at least 4 pairs in my closet. Great shoe in overall comfort!!! If you're looking for comfort this is it. If you're work requires a lot of standing/walking this shoe is for you. This shoe does what it advertises.

The best walking shoe ever!! This shoe is attractive and the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I recommend this shoe to anyone who has to walk a lot or stand up for long periods of time.

I love these! They look nicer than the mesh style. I stand all day and my legs do not hurt when I wear these shoes.

Doing the job - I spend nine hours a day on my feet on stone floors. The first couple of days in these shoes took some adjustment, but overall I'm very pleased. I do feel the muscle activating effect the brand advertises in my legs, but it is very mild. Perhaps more of a long term benefit. The thing I noticed right away was the improvement to my posture. These shoes make me stand correctly. I think they also provide good arch support and protection for the foot from hard flooring. The dork style factor is pretty high when you're looking right at them, but I'm finding (in black) they kind of blend in and disappear with long pants. Less back and foot pain makes up for what these shoes lack in style.

MBT Shadow - Fabulous shoe. Walked over four miles on a birding trip the second day I had them and didn't know I had feet. Great support, bought another pair immediately to keep at a second home. Highly recommend it.

mbt shoe review - I absolutely love this shoe. I can wear it all day at work and my feet or legs don't hurt or feel tired. Although it was listed as running a 1/2 size small, I thought it ran true to size. If your ankles are weak, you may not like this shoe. Your ankle can turn. They look great with jeans and are ok with dress pants.

Great Shoe - This is my 2nd pair of MBT's and I picked the black to enable me to wear with dress slacks for work. This shoe fits wonderful and I actually like the comfort and style. It is hard to switch back to regular shoes after wearing the MBT's. Definitely plan on getting a pair of sandals for the summer.

Couldn’t understand the hype - I received a pair for my birthday; I stand on my feet, and walk quite a bit at work. I tried them on the moment I received them, fit perfect, felt weird, as though you are walking on the ball of your foot. I took the dog for a walk, and came back home feeling as though I went rock climbing. This turned out to be a great walk work out. Plus being diabetic this will increase my circulation. Thanks mom for the great gift.

I thought it would take a while to get used to these shoes, but it didn't take long. I wore them for a couple of hours a day for the first few days. Now I wear them to work for 8 to 9 hours a day of standing and walking and I love them. I have no backaches whatsoever anymore and my balance has improved. I can feel the muscles in my thighs and calves working more than with other sneakers or shoes I have worn in the past. I want to buy another pair soon, maybe the higher heeled ones.

Great Shoe - Fit like a glove as soon as I put them on. I wear them all the time. They do lack arch support and tend to be rather hot, but overall, a great shoe.

MBTs are GREAT - I ordered a few different styles before I made a decision. Zappos is great to work help with that sort of thing. The comfort outweighs the heavy look of the shoe. I have a back problem and the pain improves when I wear the MBTs. My sister has been telling me this for a long time, just was hesitant due to the price. The price is worth the benefit, and so is the sacrifice for not wearing delicate cute little shoes that kill my back. I am a first time Zappos customer, and have told everyone I get a chance to on what a wonderful business you have. Thanks for being there.

Extremely comfortable and energizing. I look forward to putting these on every morning, even just to walk to the bathroom! I also bought the sandals. The Shadows are more comfortable and absorb shock better. I don't think they're bad looking (Ok, maybe not sexy, but not ugly either. Kind of a Doc Marten aesthetic.) I am seeing some toning in my legs, and can feel myself engaging my abs and gluts more.

BEST EVER - I had MBT black sandals for well over a year and wore them daily but when I went to the Macy's Day Parade in November; I felt that I might want something more than a sandal. I ordered the shoe and immediately fell in love with it! I loved the sandal - but my allegiance quickly transferred to this petite, slim-fitting shoe. What more can I say - they fit great, look great, wear wonderfully and make me feel like I'm "walking on a cloud." Since my big toe is fused and prevents the front of my foot from bending, I thought my walking days were over, but with MBT - I walked over 11 miles per day in NYC when I attended the Macy's Day Parade and - could have KEPT ON WALKING!! BY THE WAY - I have the black sandals, these slim-line shoes and just ordered the WHITE SANDALS FOR SUMMER! I know these shoes are expensive but in my opinion - THEY ARE PRICELESS!!!!

MBT Shoe Review - I ordered by MBT shoes based on the great reviews several friends gave for this shoe (they are slimming down, toning up, and losing weight). The shoes are super comfortable -- I wear them to walk in (do not wear them all the time however). Find them to be fun to wear -- they sort of energize the wearer! I believe they also improve one's posture. I have recommended these shoes to a number of people and they seem to be enjoying them as well. I wear them for the health benefits.

MBT Shadow - This is my second pair of MBT's. I love them! I use one pair for strictly walking (Sport style) and this pair for work. Real comfortable. Wish there was a more business look to them. Would recommend this shoe to any person who is on their feet a lot.

The only travel shoe - From the minute I tried these shoes on, my feet felt "new" and relaxed. These were the only shoes I took on a recent frenetic Italian holiday-had zero foot problems the entire trip. We ran to trains, walked cobblestones and climbed tons of stairs in comfort and my legs felt stronger for the wearing. Thank you! Only wore them with long pants-they are not aesthetically correct with skirts/dresses, but comfort is the bottom line for me. Would like to purchase the hiking boots next.

MBT SHADOW - I LOVE MBT shoes. I tried the sandal first and I have to say it is the most comfy shoe on earth. As soon as I got the sandals I put them on and went for a long walk, BIG MISTAKE!! My heel was red and my legs were killing me. I watched the enclosed video and learned how to walk proper. I just love the sandals so I decided to get the low sport white as well, and then tried the shadow style. They so run about a half size small, they are sleeker looking than the low sport, not sure if I will reorder the Shadow in a bigger size. Overall you can’t go wrong with an MBT shoe investment. Very comfortable from day one, and I walk about 1 1/2 miles each way to work. Not quite as cute as I thought they would be, but they are growing on me.

Love this shoe! I had these in a sport model and found myself reluctant to switch to regular shoes at work because they were so comfortable. Bought these to wear with pantsuits at work and haven't had them off any day since. I have foot problems (bunions on great and small toes and arthritis) and have had almost no pain since wearing these. Walked two miles in them yesterday, then stood and jumped around for three hours on concrete at a concert--no problem today! Could not have done this without these shoes. I intend to purchase sandals next.

My surgeon told me to get these... My foot was destroyed in an accident and I have had 5 surgeries so far. My foot and ankle are in constant pain so my surgeon suggested these shoes. When I first put them on, they felt a little snug but as I wore them they became more comfortable. Keep in mind if you order these that they are European sizes, so you may want to go a 1/2 size up. Overall, I've been very happy with this purchase and will probably buy another pair. Also, Zappos gave awesome service! I was blown off again and again by the Walking Co in Lynnwood, WA. For over a month I tried to get this shoe. Zappos had it in stock and gave me overnight shipping. Should have come here in the first place, will definitely order from here again.

Fantastic all day shoe! Anyone who works on their feet all day needs this shoe! My feet feel better, my back feels better and I have more energy at the end of the day because my back is not aching. This is a great shoe for anyone who has low back pain/fatigue (or anyone who is carrying around extra weight). The funky sole takes the weight off your bones and joints and make you use the larger muscles instead. They are expensive but well worth it. They're not gorgeous but they are average good looking (for sure better than the picture). As for sizing I wear a 9.5 if the shoe is wide and the 10 fits great (though it's a medium width.) The return policy makes it do-able to try the next size if your feet are wide.

Best walking shoe EVER! I bought a pair of MBT’s a few years ago when they came out, but never really wore them because they looked so bulky and I didn't walk much. Since I've moved to the city and now do a ton of walking, I decided to try them again bought the Shadow style. They are fantastic! They are narrower than the sneaker style and slightly dressier so that I can often get away with wearing them with black pant suits without anyone noticing. (Although the laces are way too long and have to be tied in double knots.) But more importantly, my knees no longer hurt after walking all day. And I mean ALL day. I have worn them for up to 6 miles of walking at a time and my feet don't feel tired AT ALL. As for the claims about toning your legs, I can't really tell, probably because I exercise often anyway. But they do keep you walking upright, which has helped my back pain and posture. I absolutely adore these shoes. I only wish they made a summertime version that were as streamlined as this style. Also, in this style, I ordered a full size larger than normal for correct fit.

I'm Won Over!!! My friend raved so much about her MBTs--cured her back pain, she bought 3 pairs--that I had to check them out. My husband got them, too. Now he won't jog in any other shoe. I bought the high-top hiking MBTs for "cuteness" but they strangled my ankles. Also, too heavy. Next I got the black "Shadow"--I really wanted to like them, but they kept falling off, and rubbing my foot, and pulling my socks down in the rear. Tried tying shoelaces tighter, and voila! Much better. I'm finally won over. Even convinced myself they look sexy (it's all in my attitude and long confident stride. They really do feel spongy and bouncy!). Comments: They work your shin muscles like crazy, especially going uphill or up stairs. They definitely run a half size too small. Zappos, thanks for this forum.
