I'm so sorry to have to return these. Whereas the Naot Kirei Mary Janes fit me perfectly in a 40, and are absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've found yet for my troublesome feet, these Kumara were too large in a 40 and the 39s fit in the toe but were too narrow and slipped in the back! They are great looking versatile sneaker-type shoes that I'd hoped to use for dogwalking on grass and trails, but unfortunately, they weren't meant for my feet and we must part ways.

These are great shoes, with really soft leather and a fantastic footbed, but I have a narrow heel, so it slipped too much in the heel. I am so bummed that I need to return them!

Based on other reviews, I ordered a size 38. I normally wear a size 8 shoe. The shoe was too short (no thumb's width space between my toe and the edge of the shoe).

My orthopedic surgeon advised me to buy Naots for my post-double-ankle-break recovery. The Kumara style is a good choice for this purpose, since it fully supports the top of the foot has the adjustable lacing, but I would never select these strange looking shoes for looks alone. They do correct the pronation of my weaker foot effectively, and the arch support is adequate without feeling intrusive. I feel secure walking in these shoes. On the negative side, the "steel" color is much bluer than it appears online, and the finish is far more metallic. The sizing advice is off, too (the recommendation to size down). I am an 8.5-9 and I always wear a 39 in European shoes. A 39 in the Kumara is just big enough, and is even on the small side.

This color is more blue than steel grey. I usually wear size 37 in Naot shoes but this shoe is not fitting me well, so I am returning it.

The color was way off from the name and pictures. It is a blue silver shoe...but the shoe is so comfortable and knew it would. I am an Naot fan.

This is the first pair of Naot shoes that actually fit my weird feet. I have wide bunions, and high arches. And surprisingly, they do not make my feet look like boats, but they are very flattering and cute. I can only wear them without socks. Maybe a size 42 would have allowed socks but they weren't available. Nonetheless, I think I'll keep them because they are so unusual and potentially useful.

Shoe was not comfortable. It had an unusual arch support which I found uncomfortable. Very disapponted.

These just weren’t comfortable. I have a high arch and thin ankles, they felt sloppy. And didn’t look great on. I was surprised because I always used to love Naot. Not this design sadly. Sent back.

Heel slips otherwise shoe is perfect.

Very nice shoe. However, the back tab stuck up too high for me. It would have caused a rub. Unfortunately, I have to return.

I have worn this shoe for years... probably have purchased some 12-18 pair of the same shoe over the years. My first pair was purchased in a little store in Cocoa Beach, Florida (Green Apples ?) many years ago, before it was available on Zappos. Almost all have been from Zappos since that time. Some months ago, when the Zappo site said to order a size smaller than you usually order, I did this. The shoe is still wide and does not fit correctly. It also squeaks when I walk. I am keeping the pearl with gold threads (the first one like this) just because it is different, but must return my favorite shoe of all time... the white with silver threads. So sorry that Naot changed the shoe.

Naot used to be my go-to brand for comfort as well as for style--I own half a dozen size 9's, including some I bought last year--and these shoes certainly look cute and comfortable. Unfortunately, Naot has changed the shape of its toe so that they are pointier, and I can no longer fit into them. I've tried three different styles, and they are all the same. But if I order a 10 they will be too sloppy, so it's time for me to change brands. If you also have medium toes (mine aren't even wide, only B-width), you will either need to size up or avoid Naot.

I will be returning the shoes, as I ordered my usual size, but they were too tight, possibly because the toes are pointed (and my toes aren't). They look cute, and they feel nicely padded, so for someone with different toes, I'm sure they would be comfortable.

like the style, but felt too flat with more inside uppers foot support needed.....too soft uppers do not feel sturdy enough for long-term comfort/wear.

I love Naots. Sadly, I had to return these. Although they were the right size and the forefoot area felt good, there are two seams along either side of the heel (you can see them in the photos) that were really irritating, even with light socks. It was disappointing.

I ordered a size smaller than I usually wear because the description said the shoe ran large. I did not find this to be true. It was too short & right across my foot. I can not accurately review the fit regarding the arch support because the shoes couldn’t be worn. However, other Naot brand shoes have given great arch support.

38 too small & 39 too big - really wanted these to work out but unfortunately back they go

These were a perfect and very comfortable fit. The color is beautiful, especially for summer time. However, I'm returning them because they gap out on the side and it's not just a little, but a lot. Looks horrible and I can see getting debris in the shoe while I walk because of it.

Not for me, alas. I really wanted these to work! But if you have toes that are anything other than flat, you will find that there is not enough toe box for you. I have a couple of toes that curl a little, and one incipient hammer toe, and fat big toes - and this shoe was too flat in the toe box to be comfortable. Back they went, alas. They were WIDE enough, and might have had enough arch support - but I could not feel anything but pinched-down toes, so I can't really review those areas fairly. Wanted them! Wanted them a lot! But they went back. Sigh.

I was really looking forward to being able to add this shoe to my wardrobe. Sadly, it is not to be. They had painfully odd arch supports, that felt like little rocks lumped under the arch of my feet. And, unfortunately, they were just plain ugly. So, back to shopping I go!

I REALLY wanted to love these. I ordered them in a size down as recommended and they were too small. Then I ordered my true size and they were huge. sigh.

Over the past 10 years I have ordered 4 pair of Kumara. The first 3 were perfect, right out of the box. Supple leather, smooth internal seams, no rub spots. I just received pair #4! I am so disappointed. Stiff leather, harsh, rough seams and several rub spots. All bad enough that I do not want to try to wear them. I am, therefore, returning them.

Nice shoe - not much arch support. Toe box too pointy medially.
