I have a number of these and they are great for running all year round. They support the muscles wonderfully, which for older runners is key and they keep the knee supported too.

Fancy running pants -
I got these to run a couple 1/2 marathons. I am not your typical runner's build, so to fit my belly, my pants were not so tight around the legs. Oh well. I did get some compression with them, and I felt supported and the pants did not bug me at all for 13 miles. Now I wear them to aerobics class. They are really great for any workout.

Love the CW-X -
I wanted these tights in the non insulator version and they worked well. I ran a half marathon in these tights. They are comfortable and tight. I had minimal soreness a few days after the race.

These tights make my outdoor experiences more rewarding. I use them for backpacking, hiking and biking. I initially chose them to help me overcome sore knees on backpacking trips. All the pull-on and wrap-around supports I'd tried did not help. With the CW-X Pro tights, I find that I have relief from downhill impact stress. At the end of the day, my overall energy level is still high.

I love these tights. I am 5'8", 140 lbs and none too firm and these tights completely smooth me out and make my legs feel firm. A little like putting on a wet suit but once on, very comfortable. I ordered a medium and they are perfect. Also ordered pairs in the 3/4 length.

The best hundred bucks I've ever spent. I have knee pain and with these pants I minimize the pain during workouts. I also bought another pair slightly cheaper and slightly less compression. So you get what you pay for. I will buy a few more pairs.

Sizing: I am 5'4", wt 115#, I bought these Pro Tights in x-sm, the smalls I had in the Stabilyx Tight were getting too roomy. The x-sm in the Stablilyx tight fits me, the Pro Tight is too small in the x-sm for me, around the hip. I can get the Stabilyx Tight on and it gives excellent support, but I cannot get the Pro on at all.

These are the best compression tights I own. I love that they don't have contrast color seams (I can't help but hear circus music when I see the ones that do). With excellent compression for recovery and a flattering look, these tights will last multiple seasons if you wash them in cold water in a lingerie bag and hang them to dry. I also have the knicker length- set my halfmarathon PR in those on a hilly course in 30 degree weather! Love, love, love these tights!
I'd also recommend:

gah. love. get these on your body and start getting sexier legs today. The high quality fabric gives perfect compression (not psychotic boa constrictor-style like *some* compression wear I've tried). Not too difficult to get on at all!
Worth. every. penny. (mike drop)

The MSRP on the tag says $110, not sure why Zappos would charge more than the MSRP. Otherwise, great pants.

Let me first thank the reviewers who warned about getting these suckers on. Yep, it's an ordeal. Kind of like putting on pantyhose that DO NOT WANT TO GO ON. I had to check the size chart several times to make sure I ordered the right size. Once on I felt like I had finally gotten the compression tights I had heard so much about and desperately wanted to try. Had a bad experience with some other compression pants and I was very hesitant to try these out because of the cost. But... worth it. Didn't realize how much my wobbly bits actually wobbled while running until they quit wobbling due to these pants. Have only done a short run with these so far but, they live up to the hype and my legs definitely felt less beat up after pounding the pavement. For reference, 5'7 and 127 lbs. and got the small. Per their size chart and the company representative I spoke to on the phone, they are supposed to be TIGHT.

Great compression tights for running. I bought these to help with hamstrings that get very tired on longs runs and for extra knee support. The compression is really good for longer runs, but I will wear these for shorter runs as well. I love the extra support for my knee. I have the Pro as well as the Stabilyx, and these are my favorite. Even though these are full length tights, they can be worn in hotter weather. They are actually really light weight when on. As someone else mentioned, you may want to cut the drawstring, as it tends to rub against your midsection and could cause some chafing. They are plenty snug without it.

So I read the reviews before I purchased the tights, and I got a small (I'm 5 feet, 135 pounds). I could barely put them on, so I ordered a medium. After running a quick mile in the medium tights, they weren't really compressing anything. I decided to give the small tights a try again, and I'm glad I did! They are now my favorite cold weather running tights. I've run up to 10 miles in them with no issues. They are a little tight around the waist, but I cut the drawstring out and they fit perfectly. Thanks Zappos for your fabulous return policy. All others: note that if they seem way too small when you first put them on, you have the right size!

These tights are great. My hips and knees are a problem and running in these tights really helped. I felt better while running and went further than usual and recovery was great. Yes it's a challenge to get them on but worth it. I'm pretty cheap so swallowed hard on the price, but liked mine so much I got a pair for my daughter who also loves them. I will buy another pair for both of us for Xmas.

These pants are fantastic! I wore them on several long runs and my legs, especially calves, felt so much better compared to when I would wear other pants or Lululemons. I also wore them for a Tough Mudder (12 mile mud obstacle race), and my legs held up great! They are a little tricky to get on, but so worth it.

I bought these tights for recovery after races and hard workouts. They work wonderfully! I like to wear mine pretty tight for this purpose so I bought a small. I'm 5'6, 140. For running, beware that the seam in the rear is quite big and can cause chaffing.

I love these tights! Seriously, I call these my magic pants. I have been running faithfully 30-40 miles a week for almost 20 years and balked at the idea of spending this much on a pair of tights. After a few years of dealing with some nagging injuries, I decided to give these a try, and I will say they are worth every penny to me. Maybe it's all in my head, but I feel like I can run faster and longer in these tights with less soreness. I have since bought two more pairs.

I am an injury-prone, middle-aged runner, and these really help keep me on the road. Once you get the hang of putting them on, it is no big deal, and they really are very supportive. They also snug in any loose flesh and make it look like muscle, which never hurts.

I am 5'7", 134 pounds and the SM fit perfectly. I only wish the inseam was longer, so it could cover my ankles. I purchased the CW-X Pro Tight and the Stabilix and ended up keeping the Pro Tight because the Stabilix chafed a bit behind the knee where the seams meet. The Pro Tight does not have the nice cradle for your knees that feel heavenly, nor the extra core support, but it still makes you feel just as spring-loaded and has a cleaner style. I love CW-X and love Zappos!

I chose the Pro tights to help me with my hip alignment & glute issues - I really like the way these tights feel. They keep my hips in straight line! I have both Stabilyx & pro and recommend either one!

I love love all my cw-x tights, esp this one as purple is my fav color. They really compress the muscles when being active and I have had a knee injury these tights give my knee stability when doing my yoga, or other sports. I am giving these 4 stars only because the length is 23 inches and I like my tights to go down to my foot not to leave any bare space.

Although I like the CWX pro tight, mine are a little short. Not three quarter and not down to the bone of my ankle so I was not too happy with that and I'm 5'8 148lbs.

I ordered these pants a couple of weeks ago for running and I like them so far. I've been running competitively for several years now and I cannot believe I waited this long to buy compression pants. They are wonderful. Compression aside, these will be the best workout pants you'll ever buy. The fabric seems like it will hold up a while. I feel, look, and my times say, I am faster in these pants. However, there are a few issues with the fit that could be improved. First- I am 5'5" 130lbs. I run anywhere from 25-45 miles a week. I looked at the sizing chart on Zappos and I was right in the middle of the "small" range. USE THE SIZE CHART ON THE CW-X WEBSITE. The chart on the manufacturer's site will give you a size chart similar to the one on pantyhose. I discovered, after ordering the small, that I was more in between small and medium. I got the pants in no time thanks to Zappos and they are tight but a good fit. I've run in them at least 5-10 times now including long runs. The compression is just right but the crouch of the pants rides too low. There's some stretching action happening that might be making my thighs do more work than they have to. I hiked up the pants with the drawstring which helps but then I got chaffing on my belly button. :( You can't hike them up too much either because the X points are supposed to go in certain places. In addition, there are probably a good 3 inches between the ankle of the pants and my socks. I DO like the pants so much though I ordered the 3/4 length version of the pro tight in medium. I haven't run in them yet but the crotch issue seems to be better. They seem like they will be great to run in but I feel like I miss the greater compression of the smaller size. I think my issues with the small could be alleviated if the legs of the pants were longer. I'm not even a very tall!

These really helped my knees. You have to have patience putting these on. After putting them on several times, I finally got the hang of getting them started in right position and then pullling them up a little at a time. At 28 degrees, (wind chill 21), my legs stayed warm. Have washed them several times (cold, hang to dry) and they are holding up so far. They will be too hot for me to wear in the summer!
