This shoe looks a bit bigger than it actually is, and I noticed that it was lacking a bit of toe space at first, but the shoe has since stretched out enough to stay comfortable and fit right. I haven't been skating in them much yet, but it doesn't feel like they have as much grip as other vulcanized shoes. As far as I know, the white troopers are made of synthetic leather for those of you looking to avoid the suede or nubuck.

Great looking, nice feel, but get a size smaller! I really like the look of this shoe. I should have listened to some of the other reviews that said to go a half a size smaller than normal. I normally wear a 13, in Pumas and Adidas and most formal shoes, and since they don't carry a 12 1/2 in the Vox, I decided to go for the 13's at first. They were way too big. Since I really liked the look I figured why not try a full size down, with the 12's. And whaddya know. They're just right. This may vary with the smaller sizes, where maybe just a half size down will do, but for my size it was a full step down.

The Trooper - These shoes skate great and don't wear out too fast. Be sure to buy them small, about a half size for them to fit. Lastly the heel cushioning is top notch.

Vox Trooper review - Good looking shoe, very comfortable. Tread wore down pretty fast and ripped even faster.

Vox trooper review - I really like this shoe! I've purchased this shoe before elsewhere and loved it so much that I needed to get more pairs. I was just having problems finding them till i checked here. That's why I bought 2 pairs!! If you like a good gum sole and comfortable skate shoe, then the trooper is what you need to get.

These shoe were nice until a month of skating went by. Now there's a big hole and it I can't skate them anymore. But for that month, they were comfortable, stylish, and had amazing board control. They were also skate-able right out of the box. For the money, these are nice shoes!

This is a pretty good shoe. However they do not have very much padding...at all. I wore these doing a seven stair, but if you are gonna bail a lot your feet are gonna hurt like hell. When I did an eight I had to use my friend’s shoes, because the Troopers did not have enough padding. For ledges, banks and flat ground these shoes are awesome. Great grip and board feel. The laces don't rip that fast if you use the lace protectors. As for looks, these shoes are awesome. This shoe gets you babes.

Vox Trooper - This shoe is good if it is the new version. The old version, with absolutely no padding, will break your feet if you try to skate them. If you buy these make sure they have new thicker insole, and the blue gel circle under the insole. Good for walking, very flexible vulk sole. Since they’re vulk, they will run big so get a half a size smaller, they will stretch out.

These shoes wore out in less than a month. Actual holes in the bottom. What a waste of money.

Vegan (synthetic leather). I have to say I was impressed by the style of this shoe, but after 7 months of easy-to-moderate wear they're falling apart. The synthetic leather felt cheap at first touch. Now it's ripped like a piece of paper does when you fold it too many times. Also, the sole trim is as cheap as it looks. Not bad, but certainly not the most comfortable shoe I've owned. Sorry to say, but save your money.

I can't say how bad these shoes are. I got them in the mail, took them to school for one week, no running no skateboarding, kicks, or stubbing toes, and after that week they fell apart. The bottom and sides had ripped almost clear off. They are not comfy either, they have a huge bulge along the wrong side of each foot. Only thing I like is their style, that's it.

Love shoe. Looks great. Bought red shoe. Unfortunately, after just ONE DAY of wear the red color totally transmits to the white bottom part of the shoe. Now my son is wearing red shoes with pink plastic around the bottom. Not exactly what he had hoped for.
