Excellent Shoe -
I hope Zappos will carry more styles in the future. I've been looking for a pair of shoes that fit and are comfortable. The poor folks at Zappos can attest to my current returns. These shoes are fantastic, the most comfortable I have ever worn! I wear a men's 13 and the 12 fits like a glove. The conversion charts are a bit confusing. I sent an email to Finn before I ordered and they told me a UK 11.5 or 46 will fit a men's 13.

I love these shoes. This is my second pair of Finns and they are both great. They fit differently than any other shoes I've ever worn. Great for my wide, high-arched, high-instep feet. I also really like the cork insoles. They're very comfortable. These don't have a padded tongue like my other pair (Dijon), but that's a very minor complaint. I expect these shoes to last for many years. I think I am a Finn customer for life. Well worth the extra money.

First pair of Finn Comforts. Very comfortable when walking or standing for long periods of time. Leather/suede footbed prevents feet from sweating (unlike Keens where your foot is standing on plastic). I used these as my only shoes for 2 weeks of very active travel in Italy without breaking them in first, and had no problems. The shoes are quite wide and roomy and are comfortable with very thick or very thin socks. I used very thick Smartwool hiking socks for the added cushion and they fit fine. These are presentable for nice restaurants and great for the 4 hour museum marathon. They would be terrible for running, since they fit almost like a pair of Birkenstocks (i.e. very loose instep). In fact, I would describe these shoes as a high-end luxury version of Birks. Have worn in past: Eccos, which are great, but fit more like a snug glove with pleasantly tight instep and are better for running/brisk walking. Borns, which fit sloppy/comfy like old tennis shoes, but are very heavy. Keens, which have a similar fit to Finn and are very lightweight, but the plastic footbed makes your feet sweat. I would definitely buy the Finns again. I would also buy Keens again, but only for watersports, not general use. Keens also make your feet look like hobbit feet. They look very wide. Finns feel wide but they don't look wide.
I'd also recommend:
Keens for watersports only, Birkenstocks if on a budget, Eccos if brisk walking

Great comfort -
My husband has a high arch and swears by Finn Comfort shoes. I ordered these to replace an older pair in a little different style. They are expensive, but when they arrived he put them on and said ahhh, these feel great.

The arch support is shocking. Extreme support. The toe bed is quite broad. It felt a half size large to me, and also a bit wider than I was expecting. I ordered a size 12 UK - which is normally okay - but it was a bit too large in this case. The leather grain is as shown in pictures, sort of a wrinkle, which is less appealing in person. Visually, they looked a bit clunky and boxy. Not a fan, but I can see how others might be.

Forgot to mention in my review that these shoes have a very high arch. In fact, most of the time, you feel like you are resting all of your body weight on your arches. Felt good to me, almost like a foot massage, but I can imagine that some people would hate it. If you traveled with these shoes, you might want to bring a low arch shoe also to give your arches a break.

Very nice shoe, however the arch is extremely high and it takes a while to get used to it. For the money, you can find better choices from Mephisto.

I have neuromas that have made most casual and dress shoes I've worn over the past 30+ years uncomfortable. These were recommended to me, and I found them very comfortable. The style is a bit funky - European, really. They can be worn with anything up to a blazer and slacks, but not for anything more formal - if I have to wear a business suit (the "full Wall Street" sort), I still have to struggle into a pair of Peal or Church's or Weston dress shoes.

I have plantar fasciitis and high arches and these shoes felt wonderful as soon as I put them on; the pain in my feet almost immediately disappeared. They are very well made with full leather lining. I do wish they came with a sturdier sole, the sole is a foam type product and after walking on concrete for a very limited time, there is noticeable wear. The shoes are best for standing and light walking, when the sole wears out I will try to re-sole them with vibram. Maybe the soft sole is part of the comfort, unfortunately it is not going to hold up to walking on concrete.

My husband found the arch to be too close to the center of the shoe. He said it was like stepping on a bump. I don't know if that's the way it always is with Finn or if these are not on par. Arch support was high and if it had been more to the insole side of the shoe would have been great.
