Awesome shoe!!! I needed a black shoe for work that was roomy and comfortable because I work in security and I am on my feet all day. I looked all over for a shoe that didn't have a metal shank in them and these did not have any. I pass through metal detectors throughout the day and these ones were exactly what I was looking for!! Highly recommend!!!

Extremely comfortable--great for wide feet! I am completely happy with these shoes (and, as always, with Zappos). I was able to lace them up with ease, even with swollen feet, and wear them anywhere in comfort. (Well, they aren't dressy, so I can wear them to work only with casual clothes--but they aren't sneaker-clunky so they will be favorite occasional work shoes.) They are soft and, indeed, stretchy; comfortable from toe to heel.

Nice shoe - Hard for me to find a wide width shoe and this fills the bill. Arch support could use some improvement, but good for around the house.

I have had several pairs of this style of shoe. It is comfortable and conforms to your foot shape. It is great for vacations, but not a lot of support for long days. The price allows me to replace them when they no longer look their best!

Terrific work shoes. Needed these for waitressing, and they offer decent support, a nice slim look, and are very comfortable.

A comfortable walking shoe. I liked the initial fit of the shoe, with extra wide feet that is important. There is a spongy "arch support" but that didn't feel very supportive. The shoe was comfortable for flying and mall walking, and I expect these will be my go-to shoes this summer. In white, they also look great with khakis and jeans.

Loved the stretch but shoe needs vents and sturdier sole-could feel rocks and uneven surfaces; I am diabetic and have bunions.

Baby's in Black - I am disabled, and it is difficult to get out to purchase clothing and shoes. I was very pleased to receive my order so quickly, and needing a pair of black shoes that my leg brace will fit inside was a tough find. The brace works well: the shoes are comfortable, no breaking in time, no problems with the look of the shoes with black pants. Thanks Zappos!

The shoe is very comfortable but I do not like how wide it is across the toes. I was a little surprise when the shoes arrived. I like for my shoes to look a little dainty not bulky. Still overall the shoes are fine and I wear them about three times a week.

Grasshoppers Stretch Plus 7.5 WWW - My foot is wide with an average width heel. These shoes are rare to me because the shoe fits and the heel doesn't rub against my foot when I walk. Wish I could get some more in white.

The shoe itself looks nice enough. I noticed that after wearing it for 2 weeks, it has begun to lose some of its narrow qualities and my foot slides around a bit. Still, it is more comfortable than most of my other shoes but not supportive enough for the amount of walking I do. I would recommend it for short distances though.

Very disappointed! I thought for sure the Grasshoppers Stretch Plus would work for my short, wide feet. No go. My size is a 7W - the shoe is wide enough through the ball of the foot but it starts to taper too far down the foot ... not enough room in the toe box and it pinched my big toes - not good for diabetic feet. I can see where this would be a REAL comfortable shoe, though - if it fit. And it looks good, too. I'm returning the shoe and will try something else in my quest to get a black sneaker! Thank heavens for Zappos - I know sooner or later I'll find something that works!

This shoe is ok for a stretch shoe. I would like to see the outer made in a better quality. There are not enough size 12 wide shoes available. Those of us that need this style & size shoe obviously need one like this or we would be buying a more stylish shoe. Why is it all the stylish shoes stop at size 11 medium width. When I order a 12 W usually I have only 1 color selection or have been told only 1 left in stock. I doubt my remarks here will change anything but at least you have heard how I feel.

I like the look of the canvas ones you had before. Then I liked the look of the other ones I bought,(leather) These new ones are comfortable but look cheap.

Stretch to fit? Not on my feet! Nice looking, plain black shoe. Lightweight and not too bulky. Secure and adjustable with five pairs of lace eyelets, but stretch to fit my tired, old wide feet? No way. This was particularly true of the width.
