These have a large piece of very grippy elastic that goes across the top of your foot that is stitched into the slipper. The raggedy, unfinished edge of the elastic is on the inside of the slipper, and the grippy elastic pushes it down into your foot, which really hurts after about 5 minutes of wear -- exactly the opposite sensation you would like a slipper to give you.

I love these slippers so much that I've ordered two colors. They are as supportive as a shoe and perfect for narrow feet. They stay on my feet well with no slipping or shifting around of the slipper. They have the softness and comfort of a slipper with the support of a shoe. They stay on securely even going up and down stairs or walking fast. I love them! Thank you, Zappos, for carrying these hard-to-find slippers :)

The slipper is everything I expected and wanted in the wide size 11. And the time from ordering to receiving was excellent.

I was having a hard time finding slippers that would stay on my feet, especially when climbing stairs. I also needed something that I could take the dogs outside in. These are perfect. They even have some arch support. I really wish they came in more colors though. They were a little snug when I first put them on, like any shoe, but they are stretching out now but not too much.

Nice shoe. Very comfortable and supportive shoe. I like that for a slipper it has a substantial sole.

The slippers are beautiful and the delivery was amazing. In just a few days, and even before Christmas. I highly recommend!

These are the best slippers and shoes, ever! I do not like wearing outdoor shoes in the house because we have young children and generally, it is just easier to keep things clean that way! These are the perfect combo. They are sturdy enough that I am not tripping carrying a child or baskets of laundry, but super-comfy as well. My only complaint is that they feel so great, sometimes I am in the garage getting in my car before I realize I forgot to swap them out for real shoes! I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought a half size bigger, but I bought them for my mom and she preferred her actual size.

I purchased Foamtreads Waltz slippers for my mother and she was "comfortably" satisfied! These slippers are a stylish alternative to shoes that support and cushion sensitive feet and hard to fit sizes. I only wish Zappos offered more selections like this in larger hard to fit sizes.

Very Pleased Customer - This shoe was purchased for my elderly mother-in-law. She was thrilled to be able to find this shoe as she has had this style before and it is so comfortable; it's a slipper, but doesn't really look like one. I was incredibly pleased with the service from Zappos!!!

Comfy and I Use as Semi-Dressy Shoes - Since having hip surgery I've been looking for comfortable flats and after trying almost everything Zappos has, I have now bought two pair of Foamtreads Waltz in black velour. They are super comfortable, love the foam bottom, but supportive too. Although I bought them as slippers they look so nice I wear them with fairly dressy long skirts and pants, they look like the Audrey Hepburn shoe. Also wear them out running errands, they go with everything. Super comfortable, supportive, the best Foamtreads!

This is my second pair of this slipper and I'm keeping the first pair, which I've enjoyed for years, to run out and get the paper in the morning. I wish it had a little bit more arch support, but it holds up well, looks better than your average slipper, and is comfortable.

I find that these slippers/shoes are very comfortable for around the house and yard. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is a wonderful slipper with support as good as a shoe. The only drawback to it is the insert over the top of the foot is tight, making the top of the slipper a little bit uncomfortable. I am hoping that, with time, it will stretch a little. It is not, however, unbearable and I will keep the slipper.

Very classy for a slipper. I love the look and color. They fit my feet well but no extra room for socks. I'm still hoping that they stretch a little. If you plan to wear socks, order at least a 1/2 size larger.

I was disappointed in the slippers. I thought they would be wide enough to put in my orthotics. I should have sent them back, but didn't. Will keep looking for a slipper that works better for me.

Upper is synthetic velour, which is not as comfortable as cotton or a cotton blend. Needed to order one size larger than my shoe size. Rubber sole on previously owned pair disintegrated within a year. Unfortunately, I can't find another manufacturer who makes this style since Crickets stopped making them.

I had high expectations. They got great reviews and looked good and looked comfortable. The inset piece is hard and scratches the top of the foot. I bought them for my mother and tried them on myself thinking it was possibly a result of the shape of her foot. It was a disappointment.

Don't know why this company puts labels and tabs on the inside where you foot goes - especially in a slipper where you usually don't have socks on. Had to return these, the tag really bothered me.

Cute, but not comfy - These are cute, but they will be going back. They feel narrower than marked and the elastic on the top of the slipper is very uncomfortable.

Did not like these. Inset piece was very rough. I cut it out! Now fit fine. Fellow wide feeters don't get these!

These were terrible in performance. I had to toss after just 2 months as they wore out just from wearing around the house. The tread on the bottom just started disappearing until they were slippery to even walk in on the tile floors! Way too much money to wear out in 2 months. Would definitely not recommend this product.

Fit well and very comfy!

Bought these for my older mom in a size 7 and she loved them! Was concerned about her tripping in a backless slipper so decided on these. They fit perfectly and stay snug on the foot. My mom loved the silky fabric and the durable sole allows her to walk the dog or get the mail without have to change her shoes. Would definately purchase them again.

Perfect for my Mom! So much so I just ordered the black for her!!!
