Originally ordered the 1460 without realizing the 1460 W were geared towards women. I highly recommend the 1460 W for female buyers. My original pair were HUGE despite them being my usual size. When my w’s arrived I was much more comfortable in them. I’m a women’s 11.

Love these shoes! Very nice quality. Beautiful color, leather, and stitching. I have an extremely narrow foot, but thought that the laces would make this boot tight enough. Not so, must return.

They were a little tight when I first wore them. I usually wear a 9.5 but I went a size down because others said that they run big. I am glad I listened! I thought they may have been to small but they weren't. These are the type of boots you have to 'break in'! But they are nice ! My combat boots are apart of my everyday attire, sometimes.

I'm not sure how to say this but my foot is too tall (?) or thick (?) The toe box is fine, the length is fine, the heel is fine, but the top of my foot above the arch fits just where the laces start, and no matter what I do, it is just downright painfully pressing down on the top of my foot. I'm so so sad. My 25 year old Docs finally developed a leak somewhere and I was hoping to replace them!

They are very stiff and need some "breaking in" but comfortable enough to wear all day right away. The color was not quite as vibrant as it appeared online, but still very cute.

Stylish and good foot support. There was a breaking in period for me but I'm very happy with them. They feel sturdy, I know I'll have them for many years.

I felt like the shoe needs stretching. The look is awesome and I love the quality of the leather.

I got a pair for Christmas 4 years ago. I absolutely love them. A little painful when breaking them in, but now I could march across the country without any pain. I love to travel in them because of the support. I've got 4 pairs so far and love them all

These boots are timeless & worth every penny. Had them when I was a teen and have had them since! They do take a while to break in but it's all part of the Docs process!

I was so excited to receive my boots right before my upstate vacation! Unfortunately, they were too stiff for me to be confident in their immediate comfort, so I left them home. :( It has been so long since I had a new pair, I'd forgotten they do take some breaking in. Upon returning from my vacay, I wore them my first day home. They were more comfortable then I expected, but stiff --it being my first day in them. Still, they didn't hurt as much as I expected. I wore "Docs" all through the 90s, and am so psyched to have a stylin' and sturdy boot for the next few years. My last two pairs each lasted me several!

These are my first pair of Dr. Martens ever, and they're absolutely the best! This color is beautiful and goes with all sorts of outfits. From the jeans and t-shirt look to a cute dress with leggings, this is a must-have for your closet! I highly recommend Googling how to break-in a new pair and how to care for them as well. Get the balsam on this site for $10! I am normally a size 5.5-6, depending on the brand, and the size 6 fit perfectly. There's still a little room as well so that I can wear thicker socks. This purchase was a gift to my 13 year old granddaughter. We bought a half size bigger so she can wear thicker socks. She loves the shoes and has worn them since she received it. The white color made the otherwise massive boot more feminine. Zappos delivery was on time as promised. Glad we found the boot at Zappos!

I bought these as a Christmas replacement for my granddaughter. I originally purchased the 1460 style which was too large. I exchanged for these 1460W and the fit was perfect. She loves them! I will always be a Zappos customer. Great service!

The boots are good quality, and just what my granddaughter wanted. My son, and daughter had a pair as teenagers. Dr. Marten has always been a good boot, and apparently is timeless.

Normally I do not order online , because I prefer to see the quality of an item with my own eyes. To have to send something back is only another inconvenience. I must say that all of my purchasing experience with Zappos has been most pleasant, both in the product and especially in their friendly and customer driven phone representatives. Without any hesitation I recommend you give them a try, assured of your satisfaction.

I bought half a size larger than my normal size because I wanted to wear thick socks for support and lining and I am glad that I did. I did not have to break-in these boots at all. The only problem is that I did not realize that I had this delivered to my daughter's university address, so it was a nice excuse to visit her.

I love my docs!! I was apprehensive to buy them because of all the horror stories I've heard about breaking them in, but it wasn't bad at all. It only took me a week and now they're comfy as ever. Buy them!!
