Excellent cold weather boots. I wore them for 9 hours snowmobiling the continental divide in Colorado at 11-below a couple years ago. My feet didn't get cold. Walked all over Bavaria and the Czech Republic in December/January... same deal. They're comfortable and you won't get cold feet. They seemed to be of as good a quality, fit and finish, as their USA-made counterparts.

I love these boots. I have had mine for over 10 years and, while they have obtained quite a bit of character, they still keep my feet dry and warm and have plenty of tread life left.

These are the best winter boots I have ever owned and I have been around a while... 1. Extremely warm even after hours in the snow. 2. Keep feet miraculously sweat free even if you have to wear them inside for a while. 3. 100% waterproof. 4. I can walk and stand in them all day and my feet stay happy. 5. They are surprisingly GRIPPY on snow and ice. 6. They look good. I wish I had bought these years ago!

Excellent boots. Extremely comfortable and very appealing to wear. They do get uncomfortable if worn inside or in warmers conditions.

My husband LOVES these boots! His old work boots were killing his feet, and we have tried so many different kinds. We left these for last because of the cost, but they are seriously worth every penny. His first weekend with them--3 days of 12 hour shifts--and he said they never once bothered his feet. No blisters or anything, they were still comfy (he was tired though)! Anyway, I've noticed some reviews saying they run small. My husband wears--and ordered-- a 15, but has narrow feet. These boots actually fit him pretty well in the width. So, if you have narrow feet, I'd say get your regular size, but if you have wide (or normal guy size) feet, then order up a bit!

I purchased these Irish Setter Elk Tracker Gore-TEX 12" 882 boots for my 23 year old son who was living in Colorado at the time. This was his first pair of actual winter boots. I purchased them for him so that he could freely move about and get stuff done during Colorado's winter weather. He was a graduate student at the time and needed to walk outdoors quite a bit, regardless of the weather. He loves them! In fact, I purchased two pair of these, to be sure to get the right size -- one in the Brown Worn Saddle Leather, size 13; and one in the Brown Full Grain leather, size 14. After seeing both, he preferred the Brown Worn Saddle Leather color, but that's just a personal preference. He also liked the Brown Full Grain Leather color, which is the color he kept, to get the proper size. Speaking of sizing, my son is a size 13, but the size 13's in this boot were too short for him. His toes touched the front of the boot with normal, everyday socks. The size 14 boots fit him perfectly. Rarely does he wear a size 14, which leads me to believe that these boots run a full size too small. Anyway, I asked my son to comment so that I could write a helpful review. Here's what he loves about them: They're very warm. Not ever too warm. Just perfectly cozy warm. They have excellent traction. (He had to walk down a hill each day to get to his car. There were plenty of hills on campus where he was a graduate student, too. No trouble on snowy conditions in these boots!) Though they are a heavy and very large boot, particularly in a size 14 (!), he thinks they are far lighter weight than other boots of this size. He really likes the styling. When they arrived, he opened them in front of a large group of fellow graduate students. He was initially embarrassed by their sheer enormity. But, the other students raved about how cool they were. He put them on and walked around, and all of his fellow students said they were jealous, and talked about how sexy they were! lol. Girls and guys alike really, really liked them, which made my son love them even more! They are completely waterproof. No water has ever gotten in these boots, no matter how deep the snow! He wears them with casual-wear, suits (yes, suits), slacks, and workout gear. They are very versatile for him. The handsome, smart leather actually looks just fine with everything he wears! The only downsides, according to my son, are that they are heavy -- but lighter than other boots he tried with this 12" height and size; they are just a tad bit uncomfortable at times because of the tall, 12" height (but they never cause blisters or any other problems, and he feels all brands would be uncomfortable in the same way); and they are BIG, which they pretty much have to be for his big feet! All in all, I am very happy with this purchase! My son tried on a slew of other winter snow boots in various stores across Boulder, CO, and no other boot had all the features he was looking for. His feet continued to get wet and very cold, until I found these great boots on Zappos! That son is now moving to Germany to work. He will bring these very handy boots with him, and is sure he'll get a lot of use out of them there, as well!

Unbelievable satisfaction! Comfortable, sturdy, good looking, reliable, and very warm in the Upstate NY winters. Great traction, too.

Michigan winters are challenging. These boots have become the core of his uniform. There was no break in period. He does road calls for engine repair on big rigs - regardless of the conditions, they've remained dry and odor free. Hopefully, you are never subjected to a truck yard, but trust me that the mud is integral to the location. They're worth every penny of the budget adjustment. New Lifelong Customer.

My husband loved them. Where we live is cold, he works outside and a heavy equipment operator, he's feet stay warm all day. This boot is highly recommended for those that like to hunt.

Bulky but that's what I expected for a heavy duty, sub-zero snow boot. Overall very comfortable.

Very comfortable and warm. Will put them to the test when the snow starts flying. In Red Wings I wear a six 12-13. Had to go up to a size 14 to keep toe from hitting side. I have an AA width foot the B width felt good.

Great boots! I hunted 3 days in a row with the boots right out of the box with no sore spots. Amazingly nice fit. Boots arrived right on time as promised! Great service!

After a couple days of break-in, these boots are da'bomb! Highly recommend. Excellent support, keeps my feet warm, dry, and oh so comfy. I spend about 50 days a year in the field and these have not let me down. Best of all...they come in narrow widths.

I am very pleased with these boots. I am on my feet all day and even on the days it's -35 (with wind chill) I have warm and dry feet. Overall I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Only critique is I wish they also made them in an 8" high version. It's my preference to leave the very top hooks unlaced so not a deal breaker for me.

I have a size 8.5 EE with a high arch so it is hard for me to find shoes that fit. Plus my feet are always cold. These size 9, EE boots fit perfect and keep my feet nice and warm and dry. My only complaint and it has nothing to do with the boot, is that I wish I could have found something that was slightly shorter in height. But I tried 5 sets of boots and this was by far the best fitting, most comfortable.

I bought these for my husband's long dog walks in the woods during winter. He smiles every time he puts them on - they're perfect for his narrow feet and skinny ankles. He's sad when he has to take them off because I won't let him wear them in the house.

These are the greatest boots I've ever owned. They age beautifully. I truly love these boots.

Most awesome boot I have ever owned. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. You cannot do anything but love them. EXCELLENT traction on slippery surfaces. They tricked me into thinking a floor was less slick than it really was. These boots kept me stable which set me up for a busted butt when I came back to the same place in a different pair of boots.

I just received these boots. I have now worn them about 3 times and already feel broke in enough to hit the mountains. This is the first pair of Irish setters I have owned. If they continue to perform as they have so far I will definitely purchase more in the future.

I recently ordered this pair of boots for a week long mountain lion hunt in the Rocky Mountains. Upon initially putting the boots on I noticed the insole felt well made and had exceptional cushion. The boot does run a tad narrow as compared to Danners which run a little wide (IMO). I also noticed the left boot seemed to have a little bit different feeling arch support; it almost felt as if the insole was trying to crinkle up under my sock. This was somewhat annoying but I got over it. Overall performance of the boot was decent, but not great. The sole design has adequate grip for normal hunting activities, however due to the placement of the cleat on the front portion of the boot I experienced significant slippage while attempting to scale steep grades. The boots would have much better grip if the positioning of the cleat were designed closer to the front of the toe area. Another issue I had with the boot was noticeable slippage in the heel area. I didn’t have any blistering, but after scaling numerous hillsides my heels were killing me by the end of the day. Overall this boot is a decent, and I feel like given the price point of $250 this boot is a solid choice. Hindsight 20/20 I wish I would’ve spent a little more and purchased the Danner Canadians or the Kenetrek mountain extremes. Once again, these boots are decent and they would work great for more casual hunting (ie.upland hunting, or hunting where you are not having to scale mountain ranges).

Beautifully crafted and surprisingly light weight, considering its bulk. However the length is a bit short of the stated size.
