This is a perfect size bag for me, and I carry it everywhere. I love the smaller compartments. It's smaller than it looks on the models in the photos, which for me was a good thing. Also, the strap length adjustable is great. I usually wear it cross-body, but I can cinch it up for use as a shoulder bag too. My only complaints: the fabric is a nice cotton duck that's a great color, but the cotton tends to attract lint like crazy. Also, I wish the strap was a little wider or something. Some of the stitching is also a bit sloppy, like someone had to tear out a seam and redo it.

Love this bag, very well-made, great organization - the plum color is just different enough without being obnoxious. However, it should be noted that this is not a shoulder bag, as some reviewers have stated. Even when the strap is adjusted to the shortest length, the bag still hangs to my waist (and I'm a rather tall & long-torsoed person). Just thought that should be clear if anyone is hoping this is a shoulder bag (as I was)! Otherwise, I love it - it's great for outdoor events, fairs, concerts, walking around the city, etc. Thanks Kavu!

Great travel purse. It holds a lot and is comfortable to wear. It even has a nylon lining that is waterproof.

Fun, colorful, light-weight summer bag with an adjustable and comfortable shoulder strap. Not a huge bag, but good amount of space inside for most everything. Seems to be fairly well made, but would not fill it with too much weight as it is canvas and the stitching may not hold well. The colors are a bit paler\/ muted than the picture shows.

Great bag! I needed to replace my old hobo bag as the zipper broke and this one works great. The only thing I am missing are side pockets for the cell phone, as this has front and back zips, but no sides. Otherwise, it is perfect and very comfy and lightweight.

The bag is cute but is a lot smaller than what I was looking for, the shape doesn't allow it to open wide or give way for a bigger item. If you just like it for an across the body bag than I'd recommend it, but if you're looking for something to hold a bunch of your stuff while you walk around, it's probably not best.

I'm not a "big" purse fan so this one is perfect. It has a great back pocket to hold a cell phone. The interior is large enough for a bigger wallet and some smaller things.

I love the construction of this bag. The outside front zipper compartment holds my sunglasses and keys. The other outside zippered compartment is a handy place to keep my cell phone. The main part of the bag is large enough to carry my wallet, makeup and other things. I like the shoulder strap because it feels comfortable on my shoulder. I am very glad I purchased it!

Bag arrived within day and 1/2. I bought it for a new job so waited 2 weeks to use it. I love it. It is cute, has 3 compartments, holds all I need to carry - wallet, book, lotion, etc. I wear it both crossbody while walking around/shopping and straight when I leave in the am to walk to my car. It has adjustable strap which is great for since I'm short (just 5'). Thank you Zappos.

I am really happy with this bag! I like that it's adjustable, and it has just the right amount of zippered pockets and open pockets to keep my bag organized. My only complaint is that it could be a little bigger, I carry a lot of stuff with me!

I absolutely love the Sydney Satchel in Purple Pebble. I am considering purchasing another Kavu bag in a different print. Well worth the money and very practical. Mom tested and approved. Would recommend to anyone interested in a cross body bag.

I'm very pleased with the design of the Sydney Satchel and think it would also be nice in a soft leather. The YouTube - like presentations also gave me a better idea of the satchel than photos would - even photos shown from different angles. The models are great!

I received my purse after just 30 hours within ordering it. Not only is Zappos great...but I'm also loving this Gold Leaf KAVU Satchel! It's the perfect size - not ginormous, but not itty-bitty.

I bought this bag for the simply stylish design and inside roominess. One of the first things I noticed is that even with the strap shortened all the way, it falls a bit lower than I would prefer (I'm 5'2). I'm hoping that when the bag is full this won't bother me as much. Another thing I noticed right away is the crinkly noise the bag makes due to the lining material. I thought that the noise was from crumpled up packaging inside the bag but it was empty when I unzipped it. Hopefully this will not be noticeable when the bag is in use. I bought it for every day, going out shopping, and going on vacation. Lots of space and seems that it will be easy to keep things organized with this bag!

I've had this bag in pyrite (khaki-ish) for a year now and still looks almost brand new. It's been with me through a summer of living and traveling in the Andes, 9 months of college, and various other travels in between. Perfect number of pockets. I can usually fit a wallet, keys, SLR camera, and a few other small items in it. The lining inside keeps my stuff safe from moderate water exposure. Fairly stain resistant too; any discoloring usually goes away in the wash.

Wife received the bag (satchel) last night, and loves it! She said it was the "perfect size."

This is an awesome bag. It has all the features that I wanted. A lightweight, crossbody strap, lots of pockets, and good looking. I've gotten compliments.

This is a great basic shoulder bag! I use to have one in grey that I used for five years before it gave out due to constant use. I like the black better; it looks cleaner. One of the best features of the bag is that it can hold a lot without being too cumbersome. Very functional.

Whoa the colors are bright!! I got the chevron print one and I'm trying to get used to the fluorescent orange! The colors are muted on the photo. I wasn't prepared for the orange!! It might be going back but it's starting to grow on me. I just ordered the Peony color so we'll see how that goes. I love the structure and material of this bag!! Not too big, not too small. I attached a photo so you can see the real life color.

I love my KAVU Sydney Satchel. I was surprised at first because the colors didn't seem as vibrant as they did on the Web site. Still, I'm very happy with the bag. Do be aware that the color is somewhat duller.

In person, the colors are more muted and not so cheery as in the photo (I ordered Spring Garden). The opening is small compared to the bag, which makes it hard to dig around for things. Items are easily lost in the bottom.

A fantastic bag except for the color, 2 things, interior is black as well so when looking inside it is a black hole - second, the fabric although wonderful, not so good in black. I'd say, impossible in black and it picks up lint from space to use this bag in black you'd literally have to carry a lint brush with you at all times and every 5 minutes give it a go. Having said all of the the design, fantastic, I reordered in pyrite, and I have Kava bags in army green, khaki, and the pyrite, none of these are a problem. The pyrite has a red interior which helps to see what is in your bag and love the bag hate the black.

Wonderful cross body bag! Easy to find loose items inside with the red interior. Made well. Fun design. Love Kavu bags!!

This purse has so many pockets! I really love the front zipper pocket with the key clip so I can safely stash my keys and yet have enough space for additional items. The back pocket is wonderful for my phone. The interior pockets are perfect for the smaller items I need to carry. There is still enough space in the main compartment for my wallet and any additional items that are too big for the other pockets.

I love the Kavu Sydney Satchel. It is comfortable as a shoulder or crossover bag, light weight, and holds a lot. This is the 4th time I have bought this bag. This is a good quality product, and is durable.
