I don't stay on my feet for much of the day, so my primary concern was style. With these I got great style and great comfort. I have a bit wider feet than average and the standard width fit great. They broke in nicely, and after putting about 10 months of wear on a pair of brown I saw Zappos listing only 1 remaining in my size. I didn't hesitate to get a back-up pair, and an additional pair in black. I hope they continue to sell this style either here or elsewhere.

These are the most comfortable pair of work shoes I've ever owned. I wear them 10 hours/day, move around a lot, and no feet problems. Also, they are very durable. No apparent signs of wear for the month I've owned them.

I love these shoes. I have been trying to find rugged, good looking shoes like this since my local Bass outlet store closed down. At first I was apprehensive about the fit because the tops felt stiff but after extensive walking with these I haven\'t felt a bit of discomfort. I hope these remain available for my replacements!\r\n

I've searched and searched for various brands of shoes that would comfortably fit my husband's large feet. He usually gets Clarks, but we wanted to try a different brand with a longer lasting sole. After much, much searching, the Eastland Plainview was perfect. Not only is it comfortable on a wide foot (roomy toe box and no pressure points), but the sole has deeper lugs for better traction and longevity. The shoes are nice enough to wear with a pair of khakis or dress down with jeans. Would definitely purchase another pair.

Basic winter shoe - If you are looking for a basic winter shoe this is the one. My previous pair is on their last legs (6 years old) and I’m only allowed by my wife to wear them for gardening.

For my size and weight - a blessing! These are great shoes. Full sized box for toes, easily accommodated my arch inserts. These shoes were a perfect fit, comfortable and a joy to wear. I am 6' 5" and weigh 1/8 of a ton! Get them if they are on sale! You won't be disappointed.

A great shoe at a great price - I have tried many a work shoe thru my 50 yrs. Honestly I can say this shoe fits the bill. True to size, comfort for my 13W, at the end of the day my feet are doing fine. Other shoes similar are selling for much more, no need to waste money.

Eastland Plainview - This is the first pair of Eastland’s that I've owned. They are nice, basic oxfords that look good. They are light weight which is nice. They work well with orthotics because the inside is smooth and flat after you remove the insoles.

I bought these as a replacement for Eastland hurricanes since those don\'t come in black anymore. They aren\'t as comfortable or as nice but they are still a decent shoe. The quality of the hurricanes is much better with touches like suede leather shoe opening lining.

The soles of these shoes are made of a hard rubber material that isn\'t flexible. The sole split on one of my shoes after 6 months of normal wear. The Shoes were fairly comfortable but took some time to break in. Overall, I wouldn\'t buy them again.

I really like these shoes. Have bought two pair, but they only last about 6 months. The rubber sole has cracked twice now. I\'m going to try a different brand next time.

I really liked these shoes. Fit great, looked good. The sole split, I sent them back and they were replaced. The second pair broke after 3 months, and I have been given a refund. Good service, but do not buy these shoes.

I bought these shoes for my fiancee, and he is always on his feet. He also works on floors that can be slippery. It loves them, and fit his type of work. He needs black shoes for work so these work perfectly. He was a little thrown because the sole is so thick, but I think that adds to the comfort.

I love these shoes as I wear the to work and the padding inside and the sole make for a great walking shoe. I am on my feet for 10 hour shifts at work and my feet never hurt. They do run on the small size so I always order 1/2 size bigger than my normal shoe size. They last a long time as my last pair I almost got 2 years out of them. This year I even bought my husband a pair of Eastland because he is always complaining about how his feet hurt from his work shoes. Well worth the money.

These shoes are awesome for walking and look good with work clothes. We wore them for a hike across the White Cliffs of Dover in England and then into the hotel for afternoon tea. Great for airport travel or anywhere you want the comfort and support of athletic shoes but the look of a dressier shoe. I bought them in black and brown for both me and my husband - 4 pairs total.

Shoes fit well and were pretty comfortable. They don't let me feet breathe at all, but that's usually what you get with a leather shoe so no big surprise there.

I bought a pair of Women's Plainview less than a year ago. I only wore them occasionally during cold-weather months, so that the upper part is still very new and nice. Yet, I just found out that the sole of the left one has broken and there is a huge gap there, which easily allows a tiny amount of water seep through and wet the foot. Considering that it is still a relatively new pair of shoes, I am extremely disappointed by the quality of the brand. I don't expect shoes to last forever, but at least lasting a few months should be the bottom line. This brand does not meet that minimum requirement.
