I have to say that I have tried every major brand of shoes over the years, and by far these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I will keep buying this shoe until they stop making them... I am a forever loyal SAUCONY fan...

Great work shoe!!! I am a police officer who assisted the Washington police in working the Inauguration. I needed a work shoe for this. Thumbs up for this shoe! I worked seventeen hours Inauguration day and I don't have a negative thing to say about this shoe in regards to how my feet felt at the end of the day. This brand will be my number one pick when I need another work shoe. THANKS ZAPPOS!!!

Great shoe! Great Service! This is my 2nd pair of this eastlands shoe. My first pair seemed narrower than marked for the first several days. I am on my feet on cement floors with a rubber mat at my station all day. Once they stretched they were a dream shoe. 6 weeks later the shoe was "clicking" I looked at the bottom and the sole had split on the left show completely and the right one was just starting to crack too, I was so disappointed. They were the most comfortable shoe I had found and bragged about them almost every day. So I sent them back (no problems!). I ordered another kind of eastlands since they did not have my size in this one but because they were a no lace type shoe I couldn’t get my foot in. I sent it back and searched online and they had this one again in my size! I ordered it and even talked to a Zappos rep. She was so nice and couldn’t believe the shoe had split like that even gave me a coupon to save on my next order "for my trouble" and encouraged me to call again if anything is ever wrong with my orders or shoes. I am now on week 3 I think and the shoes are so comfy the leather did seemed to relax sooner than the first pair so I hope they will last me forever! If not I would still order them again through Zappos since they do stand behind their products! I normally am between a wide or normal. 7.5 in most shoes I could get by with a normal but this definitely must have wide. I think I could put an extra insole for added padding now that the shoe leather has stretched some. It feels like it has great support in the right places for my feet but maybe use the extra padding. They are cute shoes for jeans or slacks. The traction is great in slippery weather. I have been wearing sketchers premium tennies but wanted something more dressy looking. This is Definitely it!

LOVE! I ordered this shoe (which arrived overnight - ZAPPOS IS THE BOMB)! - and I immediately took the dog for a 2 mile walk without a single complaint. I also had to wear them (as part of a costume) in the Thanksgiving Day Parade without a single pain. They look good, feel good, and they've become one of my favorites!

I use these shoes for work. They have the look of a boot with the comfort of a shoe. They are lacking in the cushion department though. I always use an insole with them for a little extra cushion and arch support. They do last forever though, my last pair lasted 4 years and the only reason I got rid of them is the sole cracked in the flex point on the ball of the foot. Other than that, the old ones were in great shape.

These shoes work for me! My job requires standing for 8 hours and my feet don't hurt anymore thanks to these shoes.

Anonymous - Shoe felt great once it was broken in, which took about three days. I have been wearing these shoes about 3 weeks now and have started noticing a click in the sole of the shoe when I walk. Other than that they look and feel great! Very comfortable.

This is a comfortable, sturdy shoe. I purchased it to wear on a trip that would involve a lot of walking and from the moment I first put it on, I felt like I could wear it all day. I would definitely recommend this shoe!

Good Sturdy shoe - I put this on and it felt wonderful. I have orthotics and I need a good sturdy shoe. This one works great for me. I want it in brown, but it is never in stock.

I can walk forever... Needed a sturdy, comfortable, yet nice looking shoe to do some serious walking/hiking. Needed them in a hurry so I had pretty much one chance to get it right. These shoes turned out to be a wise choice. They were everything I was looking for. Delivery was right on the money.

Love this shoe, good looking, sturdy and comfortable. I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit, and are comfortable and also that I can walk in. I have limited flexibility in my feet because of a medical condition. These shoes both look good and pass my walkability test. Thanks Zappos, for your wonderful shipping and returns process. Love them! These shoes are so comfortable and durable. Yes, a little stiff in the uppers at first but after a few days they are like an old friend!

Eastland Plainview - Very nice shoe, would definitely recommend. I am on my feet a lot at work and have noticed my legs and feet do not feel as tired at the end of the day.

True to size, a bit stiff to begin with - I found these to run true to size. I am a wide foot and ordered the wide. They are definitely stiff when first purchased but have since broken in very nicely.

Heavy and sturdy - These felt pretty stiff, like they would take a lot of breaking in. They are also quite heavy. I have had other Eastland shoes in the past and loved them. They have a really great look, too. However, I wanted good distance walking shoes for traveling and urban hiking and these are just too chunky and heavy for me. I would get them for work, though. They really look great with jeans.

I just ordered a second pair - I have these in brown and just ordered a pair in black. I walk on hard floors at work and needed a pair of sturdy shoes with support and these are IT! Felt a little stiff and I wore them with very thin socks but quickly softened up and today it's cold and I'm wearing pretty thick socks and they're very comfortable. It feels so good to put on a good-fitting shoe again - I have wide feet, too and they still work well.

My Outdoor Shoe of Choice - I do a lot of outdoor activities, including gardening and birding and need a sturdy, comfortable shoe for those activities. I've tried other brands and models, but nothing fits or holds up like Eastland’s. I'm so glad Zappos is carrying them now so that I can order my favorite shoes from my favorite shoe company.

I am quite happy with these shoes. It is a style I have looked for everywhere and could not find. I bought them to wear during the winter with jeans, etc. instead of a tennis shoe style shoe. I have narrow feet (AA,I think) and these shoes are a good fit except my heel slips up and down a little as does just about every pair of shoes I own. I do notice that my foot slides forward some as I walk, but the problem is minimized when I wear thicker socks. I tried a half size smaller, but my toe hit the end. The shoes are very comfortable and needed no break in period. I wear a full length arch support in my shoes to avoid getting heel spurs, which is good because I didn't think that this style had a great arch support. I wear size 10 and the shoe does not make my foot look especially long.

Very nice looking on. A bit tight on my high instep, but not uncomfortably so.

Stylish shoe but wide width was not true to width for me. The size was good.

I've owned these shoes before, so I know what to expect. They're stiff when new, but when you break them in they're great for on-your-feet-all-day jobs (I'm a nurse). In time, they'll be cushy in the insole with a firm & supportive frame, unlike sneakers which have too much "give". I'd rate them 5 stars, but the break-in period is an inconvenience.

Sweet - I bought these shoes for work. I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day. I have to change the foot bed on all shoes I buy because of high arches. I have wide feet and can wear these shoes with normal thickness socks. I like them a lot.
