Comfort and style - Perfect sandal, dress up or down. I love it! I have other Birkenstock sandals, one for ~5 years and another for >20 years. If you take care of them and don't wear them in the rain (they make waterproof options for that) they will take care of your feet, knees, hips and back for many years.

Ouchs! I love Birks and so I was rather surprised that these are kinda painful for me. The shoe itself is perfect except that the piece that goes between the toes is hard, stiff plastic and feels very odd after a while. I am hoping the shoe will soften up with use but that toe piece will stay hard, I fear.

Kairo for guys too! I also own this Kairo style. I love them! Guys can wear stylish sandals like that too. I bought mine in Germany though. They absolutely positively do not carry this style in the US for big footed guys, (I wear a 46 EU/13 US). I have bought many Birkenstocks from Zappos too. I just felt like commenting on the Kairo since I own and love them.

For Men Also - I'm a guy in my 50's and stumbled across the Kairo style about a year ago. I wanted a durable walking thong sandal that has a heel strap so it would slip off if I walked uphill. I noticed through online stores or stores near my home that these are listed as a "women only" style. I bought a pair of 42 reg and couldn't be more satisfied. They are durable, very comfortable and I've worn them every chance I get. I wish that Birkenstock and other outlets would include them in the men's section. I've seen on some sites that the Kairo might not be continued at some date. I have 2 new pairs in my closet to go with the ones I wear in case that happens.

My new favorite Birkenstock! I absolutely love these! I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years, but these are my favorite style and they are so incredibly comfortable! Wish I could wear them to work! You won’t regret it! You gotta have ‘em!

Perfectly cute - I usually wear a 38, (wide feet, usually a 7.5 or 8 in dress shoes) but in Birkenstocks somehow I am always a 37. Ordered these in 37, worked out great! At first, the little bit between my toes seemed big, then I wore them around the house on carpet doing chores and in 10 minutes, if didn't notice it anymore, they were just comfy. Like the heel strap, can run up stairs in these ;)

Great Birk - Great looking sandal, and like most Birks, very comfortable. There is the usual breaking in the sole. I’d recommend going a half size down; I bought them in my regular size but they're a bit big. Too bad they didn't have the size below available, but I’m still keeping these. I did buy them in the other color in the right size. You can never have enough Birks, even if they last forever. Zappos kicks butt.

Where Birks Reign - I love the Kairo more than any other Birk so far (I'd love to try the Rio). I have seven pairs of Birks of which the Gizeh, the Isis, and the Florida are part of my collection (two pairs are Gizeh). The Kairo looks dressier and sexier than other Birks, except perhaps, the Gizeh Exquisite. I rate them above the Gizeh because I love having the strap in the back, which keeps them on the heel well when I'm walking fast and up and down hills.

So comfortable you don't even have to "break" it in! I have had Birkenstocks in the past which can be a bit bulky, so the simplicity and stylish look of the Kairo pulled me in. I had read a few reviews that your foot gets pushed into the plastic thong piece, but this is NOT true for me. I don't even feel it. These sandals are brilliant. The straps do not rub and the Nubuck does not scratch or mark-up as I thought it might. I am waiting for more colors! The ones you can get in Japan with the white soles and light brown leather would be great. (hint) (hint) buyers. :) Or the red ones in Italy.

Loved the shoe but had to return for a smaller size. I would have kept the larger, roomier shoe except that the "toe bar" hit me in the middle of my toes - ouch! So back these go for a smaller size.

Great summer shoes! I have about six pairs of Birkenstock sandals, but all are slides or clogs. I wanted to try the Kairo because slides can be inconvenient when you’re running around in the summer. (Slides fly off on roller coasters!) They are very comfortable, but the strap above the toe hits in an entirely different place than the Gizeh & seems larger. Also, when you bend your foot, the long straps gaps up. Not irritating, just very different than Gizeh. I love them, though!

Super shoe - I love this shoe because of the adjustability of the ankle strap. This holds the shoe in place so my foot does not slide forward and touch the toe piece. Great for walking. Wish they came in a beige or light natural color.

First pair of Birkenstocks and I'm very happy!

Comfy - need them in every color - A great comfy walking shoe that you can wear with anything including walking the cobblestoned streets of Europe. This shoe was the rage in Europe last summer.

Hot shoe for the season - This is a sandal that has it all. The comfort and arch support of the classic Birkenstock bottom. The style and freedom of the thong sandal. The security of the back strap. This is a style that looks great on men and women and is this year’s must have look. My husband and I both wear this and we get a lot of great compliments.

Love them!! The strap makes all the difference. I have 2 little kids and feel secure that they won’t fall off when chasing them around. Nice thong design. Hoping in the future they come in more colors.

Another Great shoe for her and him - This is a great shoe that offers it all in a comfort sandal. You get the classic bottom of the Birkenstock bottom. The comfort and style of the thong sandal. The security of the back strap which fits so loose that you hardly feel it. This year back strap thongs are all the rage. My husband and I both have the same pair. We get a lot of great compliments and have fun with them.

Very Nice! Like all Birks, these are very comfy. I love how the t-strap fits so comfy and snug against the top of the foot. From what I've heard, these are limited with the back strap. So if you're thinking about getting them you'd better jump on it fast.

Not as good looking as in the picture - You have to have a certain type of legs for these shoes to work. I think, these shoes will only look good on tall people with very long legs, and certain type of feet with long toes. On my feet, they looked disproportionate. The middle strap covered my big toe completely, which freaked me out.

I love these. They are incredibly comfortable and the straps have never given me any blisters-- even the first time I wore them.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them! My foot is on the wider side of average and these fit perfectly. They do run big; I bought a full size smaller than I usually do. They are fairly stylish; I get compliments on these and people are surprised to find out they're Birkenstocks. I walk all over town in these and my feet feel great!!!

Love my sandals! I wear an 8 (sometimes 8 1/2) and the 38 fit perfectly. Love that I got them the next day too!

I love these good thing I tried them on in a store before so I knew what size to buy. The sizing says a 38 is a 7-7.5 I would say a 38 is a 8-8.5.

These are in a great style! They are a good width for my wide feet. I wear a 8½, which would be a a size 39. I had to return them for a size 38.

I've worn Gizah for years and loved them. These are even more comfortable due to the back strap, and look nicer too! So comfortable and supportive, I can walk all day in them. The colors are gorgeous, and I hope they come out with a plain leather version too. And of course, I must mention Zappos' awesome customer service too- free overnight shipping, never ever any damaged/worn products, and so friendly on the phone when you have a question!
