Takes some getting used to - I've been wearing these around the house for awhile still trying to get used to the ankle strap. Cute gladiator style, love the blue color, much more feminine than my other slip on birks and more secure on my feet, but walking feels a little strange. At first I buckled the short strap over the long one but they feel much better with the long strap crossed over the short. I'm a regular Birkenstock 36 or 37 depending on the style and got these in the 37. With time, I expect Isis to be a favorite!

20 plus years!!! I've had these so long I have had the soles replaced. I wore them for years then took a break. I was working a lot and no time for sandals. Anyway, I love them and I am thrilled I can get them in blue. Mine are in the original black, purchased in 1986? 1983? Anyway ages... and I love them! I am a 7 1/2 D, a true D with a full toe box and bone structure. Not just wide because of weight or something as is more common now. Wish the arch was higher, but I have high aches and I do ok for moderate days of walking.

Another Wonderful Birkie - As with all the Birkenstocks I have worn over the years, this one is just great. Can't beat them for comfort; I've got back trouble and will be wearing these as the mother of the groom in a few weeks. High style? Perhaps not, but the comfort level is superior. Second pair... I got these in white synthetic from a TV shopping channel and fell in love with them. I'm usually not that crazy for Birks, but these are so cute and so comfortable… here I am getting my second pair in black. They're pricey, but they do last forever. Highly recommended...

Birkenstock's BEST - Birk discontinued Isis about 10 years ago, and (although I already had 3 pairs) I was very disappointed. They are extremely comfortable…I walked all over London and Paris last summer. People always comment about and compliment them. I wear them with shorts, skirts and dresses because they are much more feminine. When the Isis was re-introduced this past spring I looked everywhere (internet and stores), but could not find them in my size. Zappo.com is the only place that had them, and I bought all 3 colors. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

CUTE SHOES!! After I ordered these shoes I thought, "Oy, I really don't need these any more than the man in the moon." But now that they're here, I'm so GLAD I bought them. They're comfortable and fun to wear, and unique with their wrapped ankle straps. What can I say? They're Birkenstocks, and all Birkenstocks fit me perfectly. Others have mentioned the straps chafing their ankles, but I have not found that to be true for me. I bought the blue ones, and they look great with jeans. I'm totally happy with them, and as usual Zappos (in their own inimitable) delivered them the NEXT DAY.

Birkenstock Isis - This is an awesome shoe. SO pretty and comfortable!! I ordered the shoe one day and I had it the next day. Great service.

Luv Isis - I have worn Birki’s for years. In fact that is all I wear most of the time. But this is my first ankle strap so I was leary at first but no more. They look great and I can wear them all day. I have 2 pairs now and hope Birkenstock does more of this style.

Nice shoe - I'm not a long time Birkenstock wearer and I found these to run extremely large. I know that it's standard to size down, but with these I had to size down 2 sizes. I'm a perfect size 8 in most shoes, but I ordered the 38 in these. They were too big, so I had to go with the 37. Nice shoes otherwise. I love the look and the strap around the ankle keeps them nice and secure on your foot. I wish they came in a patterned style though. I have standard arches and found that the arch support was fine on these.

Zappos is the best!! Great shoes - color, style and fit; and I ordered these shoes on a Wednesday morning; received on Thursday; had to exchange for a different size; had them on Friday; YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE; and Zappos is consistent with excellent customer service.

Stylish for long feet! I was so happy to see this style come back, and to encompass a larger size. A few years ago this style was available, but only to a size 41. I have narrow ankles so the straps were fine for me. In fact I have to buckle them on the smallest hole. In short this style makes my 42 narrow look stylish and tiny! Love them; wish they would make them in a tan leather.

So stylish for long feet! Wow, couldn't believe these were offered again. I can remember these a few years ago, but they stopped one size short of 42. I was bummed, but now they are offered in my size. I ordered the pacific blue and they are so cool. Make my long narrow size 42's look so dainty.

Great sandals. The ankle strap does slip a bit down the ankle but the sandals are still secure. They don't have as clunky a look as Birks often do, and the arch support is good.

Great shoes - I love these shoes. I normally take a 41N in Birkenstock but I ordered a 40R in these. It gives me more room in the ankle strap. These would be great in a taupe color.

Birkenstock Isis: Stylish Birks!!! I have been searching for a comfortable and stylish flat for summer. I wore Birks years ago and liked the comfort and support they gave me. I looked at the new styles and was thrilled to find the Isis. Not only did it give me the comfort and support I needed; but it was stylish as well! I bought the Pacific Blue and Cactus Green. I have wide feet; so I got the Regular size. The fit perfectly! They have great arch support; they are wide enough and they are comfortable. If you have never worn Birks; I recommend these. They get more and more comfortable the longer you wear them. They will mold to your feet; without losing their supportive structure. This is a great Birk!!

A feminine Birkenstock design! These are so cute, feminine and flirty, perfect for casual summer dresses! They fit like all my other Narrow Birkenstock sandals. I haven't worn them out yet, but after trying them on don't anticipate any discomfort from the ankle straps--I got the nubuck leather in cactus; I imagine the BirkoFlor may be a bit stiffer. I think I'll get myself another pair for my birthday... Oh yes, and of course Zappos is the absolute best for buying shoes online, receiving them quickly, and being treated like a stellar customer every time.

*Cute!!* These are really pretty and very comfortable. My only little complaint is that the ankle strap sometimes chafes, so I can't wear them every day. It might help to leave the strap loose, but they lose 1 star for that reason. Still great though! (^_^)

Isis, making a comeback - I have been waiting so long for the Isis to make a reappearance. I bought a pair in 1992, and have not been able to find more...until now! I was very pleased to see these again because they are Birkenstocks, which I love, but also can be worn in much more dressy situations than your average Arizona. The wrap around strap keeps them on, while still giving a very bare and pretty look. I plan to stock up because you never know, and this style is a "do not miss". I got a 40R, same as all other Birkenstocks. Other styles I wear a 10, and prefer a wider footbed.

Birkenstock strap - The sizing was way too large. Had to send back and get a smaller size. The strap was also large and had to go to shoe repair and have the cobbler put in extra holes to shorten the strap. Otherwise shoe is ok.

Isis - Ankle straps are a bit short for my ankles, but love the shoe anyway.

Too much shoe! I have a pair of Birkenstock Madrid’s which I love, and I had my eye on these for a while. When I finally bought them, I was a bit disappointed. If only Zappos offered pictures of the shoe ON someone's foot! I found that the front-crossing ankle strap was just too much shoe for my narrow feet and ankles. The ankle strap was also too big for me--it ballooned around my ankle! Plus, when I walked around the house, the straps rubbed the front of my ankle, and it felt kind of awkward to walk, with the shoe pulling my ankle down. Perhaps it gets more comfortable with wear? But since I didn't like the look, I sent them back!

Bothered By Buckle - I found that the buckle should have had foam (or some insulating material) as it 'bit' into my toe and caused some bleeding. Perhaps the closing should have been velcro.
