The best way to describe Saucony Bullets is that they fit like a pair of wrestling shoes. Very snug, but not tight. Ultimate 81's are way more comfortable, but they don't pair nearly as well with the slimmer fitting pants that are so popular in man's fashion these days. If you buy these and are on the fence about keeping them (like I was), be sure and give them a few wears to make an honest assessment. They may actually win you over in time.

I'm literally puzzled how this shoe has gotten such high marks.
While this is a very stylish shoe (cool color combinations and an interesting overall look), it is actually a running flat turned sneaker. As a running flat it offers little in the way of padding. It's an interesting feel at first, but you can feel everything on the ground as you walk. Some people may enjoy this... I was a fan initially because I did get into minimalist shoes this year. However, after a very short while, it just became a very uncomfortable shoe. I ended up replacing the original insoles with an old pair of SuperFeet that I had laying around which improved things some.
Not only was this shoe uncomfortable, it was not very resilient at all. Within four months of moderate wear, it looked trashed (I had the white color). After 8 months, these are ready for the garbage. The only reason I actually kept them around so long was because they look pretty cool and go great with jeans. I'd recommend a pair of Asics or a different style of Saucony.

Comfortable sole, great design and color, but bad shape. The toe has an odd curvature that makes the shoe look deformed. It also ran narrow. A nice compact show that I wanted to like, but could not get over the tight fit and odd toe shape.

Great feel, but didn't last -
I must preface this review with the information that I wore these shoes all day/every day and walk a good bit more than your average city-dweller: Very comfortable in a minimalist way (though I did remove the standard insole and replaced it with one offering moderate arch support). Shoes weigh almost nothing, feet are able to flex and breathe normally, etc. Essentially, all the benefits of being bare-foot, while still maintaining a barrier between your feet and the outside world (which is nice if you live in an urban environment or simply don't like the whole barefoot thing). However, they fall apart quickly. Within a week the nylon in the 'toe-box' area had ripped. I sewed it up with a canvas patch on the inside, but this has turned into a never-ending process of shoe repair (a DIY mentality frequently borders on pathology). When I finally covered the entire interior of the nylon (weaker) areas with patches, the shoes went through the outsole in the heel . . . now I slip all the time. Recommended if you like constant repairs (or buying new shoes . . .).

Zappos has great service, but unfortunately I didn't use the return for this shoe. If you are a girl, it is perfect. It's light, thin and slick. But, if you are a guy, well, it is like you are wearing your sister’s shoes. They only look good in tight clothes. I wear an 8.5 and these shoes make me look like I'm wearing a 5.5. So, if you don't like these shoes on first impression, there might be a reason why. I wish I would have listened to a reviewer on this one.

Good looking, light shoe.
These shoes look and feel great. They're definitely light though. I wouldn't be surprised if they wear out quick or become pretty dirty pretty quickly. Still a good shoe to wear every once in a while.

OG Bullet. Pretty thin -
These are comfortable shoes, but a lot flimsier than previous Sauconys I have owned. They are also a tad smaller than the average sized Saucony, which made internet ordering a bit unpredictable.

Comfortable - but won't last long -
Extremely lightweight, thin sole, and pretty comfortable - but it's a $50 shoe and nothing more. As long as you're not expecting durability, you'll like it. The fabric feels very cheap, there was actually a small hole in the toe of mine when I got it...

Bought this for my husband. He is a true 10.5 but these we’re too small. He also didn’t like the quality of the materials even though he liked the pictures on line.

These really looked great in the photos and the Zappos video. They weren’t as I expected. I thought they would be more substantial and made of leather. I didn’t realize they are nylon old school style. They are also extremely narrow.

Beautiful shoes, don't last -
I love Saucony shoes, and the Bullet has a great, leaner profile. The black/burnt orange color is really gorgeous! However, like the reviewer below noted, the nylon upper goes FAST. Just normal wear has left the nylon shredded within a couple months. I have never seen a shoe, never mind a sneaker, wear through so fast. A real tragedy, I loved these shoes!

Love that Saucony 's never need time to break in. Perfect right out of the box. I think I prefer the Originals over the Bullets, but either way, great shoe

I wear size 11 classic Vans. After reading a bunch of reviews I went with the 11.5 Bullet and it was perfect out of the box. I also got the size 11 for good measure and it definitely felt half a size too small so I returned it. I wear these mostly for working out as I like grippy, minimalist yet stylish shoes.

The bullet has quickly become my favorite all-around shoe. It's a classic! Why in the world would Saucony want to discontinue it?? Please bring it back!!

Pretty comfy, very lightweight, and I like the style. Unfortunately not much arch support - so perhaps not great for longer walks - but a nice casual sneaker.

Incredible fit. Super comfortable even though the sole is thin, which I love. Not a fan of the big, bulky shoes. These were the best all around shoes I’ve ever worn!

I have worn Saucony Womens Bullets for years. They are my favorite shoe, so comfortable and they look amazing! The Bullets almost have a zero drop, Which really helps my back pain. Please, please bring back the Bullet!!

I purchased my first pair of bullets forever ago and although I have gravitated to other brands, whenever I dig out my bullets I order another pair. Came here to order more and see everyone saying they are discontinued. WHY?!

The Bullet is a classic style and the perfect street shoe. I like that it's a narrow fit and not bulky. I hope Saucony has a back up plan, as this shoe clearly has a cult following.
