The shoe was ok, it's made well but it was uncomfortable bc the inside must be waterproof or something, its slick and foamy material, not a padded regular insole. That's not what we were hoping for. But otherwise, if u need a waterproof shoe it's good.

We are a Keen family. Love them. Live in them, all summer. The fact that we can wear them barefoot, through all kinds of terrain (camping - wear them in a shower! It's a win-win - shoes get washed off, feet are kept off the campground shower floor!) And they just look great, season after season. Anti-microbial so they don't get stinky, too! Was holding off on getting my youngest a pair - they are pricey for a kid as fickle as she is. She tends to wear shoes once or twice and then complain that they hurt her feet and never wear them again. We had a crushed toe incident and I bit the bullet and bought these for our 7 y/o daughter about 4 weeks ago. They protect her toes so much better than open-toe sandals or flip flops, but they are still cool enough to wear in the heat of the summer. They do take a rather long time to dry after getting wet, when compared to the rest of the family's adult-sized, neoprene-backed leather Keens. I usually wear mine until they dry and it only takes an hour or less. Her's have stayed damp all day after getting wet, or being washed and not sitting in front of the fan long enough to dry. And they smell horrid. These kids sandals do not resist odors like the adult versions. Not sure if it's a difference in the soles, or if my kid just has toxic feet? We took a road-trip across the country and I could tell the minute she took her sandals off. We ended up making her keep them in a plastic bag when not wearing them. Whew. None of her other shoes have an odor issue, so I'm guessing it's this pair, and I don't have any other children's Keens to compare them to. But it's an issue we can live with. She loves them. Great shoe.

My grandson refuses to wear these because they are so difficult to get on

These were HUGE. I've bought Keen Seacamps (which I love!) for my daughter for the past 4 summers. I decided to by the Keen Newports instead because I like the color choices. They were gigantically wide. I don't know if they were a defect or the Newports run MUCH wider. I'm sticking with the Seacamps.

I wanted to like these shoes, I got matching for myself and toddler but we both had red marks on various parts of our feet from the stitching on the fabric parts of the shoes. This shoe has great support just couldn’t get past the stitching. His also ran small, he kept complaining the shoes were too tight and they were a full size larger than I normally would buy.

These were labeled size 12 but were much smaller.
