Great sandal for women with small feet! ;-) When I went looking for an Earth shoe sandal at a local store, the owner & I got to talking. She didn't carry Earth shoes, but asked me what size I wore (women's 6 1/2 wide) & if I had ever tried boys' shoes! I was actually wearing a pair of boys' penny loafers at the time, but had forgotten about that detail. To make a long story short, I ended up buying these yesterday, after waiting for the store to receive their order. I love Zappos which ALWAYS carries my size, but also like to support local businesses when possible. Now have another brand to watch on Zappos & also know I can save even more money by wearing boys' shoes! This is a win/win for everyone. PS. These were more comfortable, & fit me better, than the women's Keen sandals I tried on at the store!

Important difference between Newport and Newport H2 !!!! The Newport H2 has a VELCRO strap! (E.g. you open the sandal, step in and close the sandal). The Newport has an ELASTIC closure (e.g. you step into the sandal). For a kid with SMALL feet, the H2 won't work. When ordering the H2 I didn't know there was a Velcro strap. It took me and Zappos a few shipments to figure out why my son all of a sudden (after 3 happy Keen years) didn't fit into them anymore!!!!! He kept losing them, simply because the Velcro wasn't closing the sandal enough around his feet! We are now back to the Newports and happy as can be. MANY THANKS TO EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ZAPPOS!!!!!!!

My boys love these - Comfortable and supportive, and my boys (ages 10 and 7) love the look. They wear like iron. Sometimes sandals can rub feet in a bad spot, these don't. No break-in required, and they have a nice flexible sole. Pricey, but worth it.

Great sandal for active kids! My kids love their Keens. Easy off and on. Comfy to wear. Washable. First got the red for my son, but he thought it was too bright. Exchanged it for the green and he is very happy with them. (Easy to exchange with Zappos!) Remember to order a size up and you should be set the first time.

A great kids' shoe - My older son (age 10) loves Keens, and wants a pair of these every summer. They never get worn out! Too bad my younger son doesn't like them. He has trouble getting them on his feet. However, the new version of the Newport this year is much easier to put on, with a velcro strap across the top of the foot. I'll be he'll be happy to wear this pair in a few years. My older son reports that they are really soft and comfortable, and while on spring break, wore them for playing sports. No blisters and they fit right out of the box.

Indestructible - I bought these for my grandsons. Last year they wore Keens all summer and the shoes never did show wear. If they hadn't grown out of the Keens they could have worn them another summer!!!

Sharp shoes look nice. Fit well they are better than a flip flop as my son can run around in them!!! No problems so far!!!

Love, love, love these shoes for my 5 year old son! Much easier to get on and off than the other similar Keen style due to velcro strap. I also like the closed in heel. My son has a very wide foot but this shoe works fine. It's also really stylish. If only they lit up, they would be the perfect little boy's shoe!

Love these! My 4 year old son has worn these May to Nov. SO MUCH EASIER to get on his feet (even with socks now that it's cool) than the older/non-Velcro version. Plenty of toe room! They do smell pretty bad after a couple weeks but wash up so beautifully it's not an issue. Just bought Keen Whistler and will get these again in the spring. Sizing is consistent with other Keen shoes, beyond that I don't know. He only wears Keens!

Most comfortable support for walking & on your feet all day - The Women’s version of this shoe is too narrow for me, but the youth size 5 fits my size 6.5 or 37 foot very well and thank goodness! Due to a plate in the back of my heel, I cannot wear any shoes except a clog or sling-back. The back of this shoe is just smooth canvas over lightly padded nylon, so no pressure against the heel. I have finally found a shoe I can wear to the gym. Arch support, covered protected toe area, adjustable elastic, and velcro strap at ankle make this a shoe you can customize for your specific fit and the price is so much better than the women’s shoe, too. I will wear this with dark socks and slacks in the fall and winter, too.

Only problem is STINKY feet! My son is 5 and he LOVES these shoes. Very versatile and easy on/off for him. They look great dressed up or dressed down and they have been comfortable from the first day he wore them out of the store! The only problem I am having is that they make his feet absolutely STINK!!! I have washed them and the stink comes back after a few wearings... any solutions to this would be great!

Great shoes. I bought these because I was heading the beach and didn't have any water shoes. They're a little ugly, but they're comfortable and very functional - they were exactly what I was looking for, and I'm finding myself wearing them away from the water more and more.

The perfect summer shoe - Great shoe-- second summer buying these for my twin boys who are active-- wear both with and without athletic socks to keep from getting too smelly. Hold up really well and last all season and into the fall.

These Keen’s are great looking and a great color (green) but are a pain to put on and take off. They have a velcro strap across the top which is nice for a snug fit, but the strap has to be undone each time they are put on. Other Keens have a stretchy strip along the back and can be slipped on easily -- these do not. My son is 10, so he puts these on himself, but he finds the velcro strip to be annoying. Like the looks and quality though.

Perfect for an active summer - I've always wanted a sandal I can wear as a sneaker & this is it! I don't worry about hurting my feet, having them come flying off when I run. They're perfect. I got a pair for my son also.

Love the new ease of Keens - The shoes are much easier for kids to put on with the new velcro strap. Love them!

My son loves these shoes! My son is usually very reluctant to wear sandals, but loves these. Very comfortable, dry quickly when wet. Ordered 1 size larger than usual, and it worked out fine. He is usually a wide width, but these "regular" width shoes are perfect. Very easy to get on and off. Very nice looking.

I have two boys, and these are the only shoes they wear all summer long. I buy my older son a bigger pair when he outgrows the old pair. After two years, they still look brand new and are then passed on to his younger brother. A big plus is that they're vegetarian---no animals were killed to make them. We love, love these shoes!! :-)

Sandals he will wear - I ordered these for my 10 year old son. He had seen some of this brand in a store and thought he would like them because of the soft nylon lining. I ordered 5 and 6 and the 5 was good. So I feel they run true to size or large. He loves them. He hasn't worn sandals for 2 summers because he likes the feel of socks and shoes. He doesn't like anything to rub. These are soft inside and he can still run and play. They are easy to get on and stay on securely. He says the sole is squishy and he likes that. I was worried that I was spending too much money on a kids sandal but now I don't have any regrets. They have been worth the money.

Love Keens! The velcro closure eliminated my only complaint with earlier styles in allowing easier donning of the shoe. Keens are indestructible. Your child will outgrow the shoe before wearing it out! I think they run a bit small, so go up if there is any doubt about sizing.

My nephew loves these! I bought these shoes for my nephew’s birthday and I didn’t figure he would be that impressed, but he loves that he can run around in water and they dry right off. They also have that great Keen toe that protects his feet when he is kicking a ball or just running around in the playground. I would say these are an all around great shoe.

Kids Keens - We bought the green and they look great for a boy. We are breaking them in with sox until it is warmer out and avoiding blisters. My son likes them too.

Great for boys on the go - My five year old loves these slip on easy wash... no sock shoes. I’ve been waiting all summer to get him some...
