The kids like them. They are fairly easy to put on

These sandals are the only thing my kids wear in summer. They never complain about comfort and the dry quickly.

A note that the Newport H2 is definitely on the wide/tall foot side. This wasn't a problem in toddler sizes, but once my daughter needed an 8T (she has loooong skinny feet), these were too bulky and wide. We went with the Keen Moxie, which is a narrower and less bulky style. (You might check out the Seacamp, too.) Merrills are also very well reviewed, I'm just a Keen loyalist!

We bought these for my 6 year old daughter for our trip to Costa Rica. She wore them white water rafting, rappelling, for the hot springs, and they were great.

I buy these every year for my active granddaughters. They can run, jump in puddles, climb, and they are still cute with their sundresses. I would highly recommend this functional shoe for the active kid!,,

These are very cute shoes. They are pretty heavy for a toddler shoe and are a little difficult to put on for a toddler. Someone will have to help them. They are very comfortable too.

I think these are super cute for my little two-year-old. However, she just doesn't reach for them after her initial insistence on wearing them throughout the house after they were delivered. She doesn't complain when she has them on, but she doesn't ask for them at all. The only thing I can think of is that they're surprisingly heavy. To spend so much on shoes she doesn't totally love is quite a disappointment. She still has time to wear them before her feet are too big, so there's time for her to change her mind. Regarding the comment another reviewer made about having to snake the strap through - for the first pass, yes, it needs to be threaded through a fabric something that's a bit snug because of the shape of the end of the strap, then through a metal piece, then back over to the other side with the opposite piece of velcro. It doesn't need to be re-threaded through that same fabric piece in order to securely strap the shoe closed, so that hasn't been a problem for us at all.

Like all Keens, these are sturdy & my kid says they're comfy. Unlike some, though, they are very difficult to get on. They're the right size, but something about the opening/strap arrangement makes it hard to get the foot in. It's odd, because his last Keens were also the Newport H2s and there were no problems with those. They do seem to be loosening up a bit but are still quite difficult.

Gave 1 foot a blister on the inner side of her foot. Also the strap is hard for a toddler to put on themselves.

Excellent shoe! My daughter loves that they can get wet, she can play sports, and not have to wear socks all in one shoe. She especially loves the multi-colors! The closure of the shoe could stand a bit of ease. It's difficult for little ones to put on and take off themselves.

Love these shoes. My daughter wants to wear them all the time and they are easy to put on and take off. I would give 5 stars if they didn't smell so bad by the end of the summer. Not sure why the rubber and small feet don't mix.
