As a letter carrier I require a very comfortable walking shoe. Although I do not believe such a thing exists, the Saucony Progrid Stabil LE 4 comes as close to that ideal as anything I've tried so far. For anyone who has to be on their feet & walk 6 hrs plus like I do, these shoes are a great choice.

Try them -
After being told to try Saucony by several different people, I finally did. I am sorry I waited so long. I have problems finding shoes that don't kill my toes and arches. These are kind to both!

Somewhat disappointed -
When I tried these on at home, thought they would be perfect for my daily 2.5 mile walk. After actually walking in them for two days, my feet did not feel the same. This might be a 'break in' effect, but my past Saucony's didn't have this same effect. Still haven't figured out what's different, but something is!

Saucony Progrid Stabil LE 4W -
This shoe, while comfortable and well fitting, isn't as perfect as my Hurricane 9s. However, I recognize that this is a different type of shoe. I find that I tire a little more quickly when I wear this shoe. If I wear them too long, I have a slight backache. It doesn't take care of my overpronation as well as the others. It does serve the purpose of having a semi-dressy shoe that I can wear with slacks and not feel that I'm in an athletic shoe. I'm satisfied with this purchase for the most part and the Zappos great service is the same.

Great Walking Shoe -
I wore these shoes for the first time today on a 3 mile walk. Very comfortable and no rubbing at all!
They're not the most attractive shoes I've owned - I think they're a little clunky looking, but comfort is my first concern and these shoes fill the bill!
I bought a half size larger than my usual size, but I've found that this type of shoe usually runs a little shorter than casual and dress shoes. My foot is a little narrow, but the shoe fits snugly, with plenty of room in the toe area.

Great Shoe -
I have a horrible bunion and lower back problems which orthotics just don't help. I recently ordered the Saucony’s and another VERY expensive pair of shoes and decided the Saucony’s were for me. They feel a little bigger than are marked but are very comfy nonetheless. I do a great deal of walking and weight bearing exercise and my lower back problems are gone. I should really buy another pair of these before my new pair wears out! Thanks, Zappos!

This shoe seemed to run a little big. It’s comfortable, but I should have got them a size smaller.

Not the shoe for me...
I'm still looking for a black sneaker-type shoe and was hoping (after reading the reviews) that this was the one. No dice. The arch support felt great! But the sizing was off. I ordered my usual size, 7W, and the shoes felt big and clunky. Slipped in the heel and I know a smaller size wouldn't work because of the length. I believe these would be very comfortable shoes - padding in the right places - IF they fit. Certainly not very stylish, but that wouldn't bother me if they fit well.

This looked like such a promising shoe according to the other reviews, but, unfortunately, not for me. The shoe is well-made and well padded, but it was both too long and too wide for my regular size of 8.5 WW. Also, in this shoes\' effort to keep the foot stable, I found it exerted a lot of pressure on the outer ankle bone. The left side didn\'t feel too bad, but the right ankle bone really felt very painful. I had to take them off immediately and send them back to Zappos, who always has such great customer service.

This shoe did not meet any of my expectations. It felt way too narrow and I ordered the wide. Also, I was feeling uncomfortable everywhere! For me it had a cumbersome clunky feeling and in addition the color was really drab. I ordered it for a foot condition and thanks to Zappos I can continue ordering from their website until I find the right one for me!

Shoes too heavy -
I bought these shoes because it said they were very good for walking, and they gave support to your feet. I am a person who walks daily whether it be outdoors, or on my treadmill. I cannot keep these shoes on my feet for too long. They hurt my feet, so I have to go back to my old shoes off and on. They are the right size, but just a very uncomfortable shoe to wear if you like to walk briskly, and if you are just standing they also hurt your feet. I’m sorry I bought them, but had already walked outdoors with them, so I couldn't return them.

Not comfortable -
This shoe was so uncomfortable. It runs really wide and hurts the back outside of my feet. I practically run on marble floors for at least 8 hours of the day in a busy kitchen. When wearing these shoes, my feet were so sore at the end of the day, I wanted to cry. They are definitely not slip resistant. Don't get them if you are going to be on wet floors!

Skechers for work-the tops don't last, but with cheap insoles, your feet don't feel so bad.
