Best looking water shoe I've owned - I generally dislike the look of water shoes, these were cute enough to wear from the beach to a casual restaurant. I wear a 7 1/2 so I wasn't sure which way to go because they are full size only. I strongly advise that you go up a half size, in my case to size 8 (the size 7 was way too short)...my toes still touched the front of the shoe but were not really uncomfortable. I am not a distance swimmer so I'm not sure how they would stay on in that situation but for running in and out of the water to play and to cool off they were fine.

A decent shoe - The styling of this shoe is what caught my eye (as did the other two pairs of Keen shoes I have!). I have been looking for a shoe that I can wear surf-fishing and kayaking. I've only tried this one fishing, and although it was easy to wear and comfortable (fast-drying, too)... it filled with sand! This is not the shoe's fault, of course, I have a feeling it will be better for kayaking, but I haven't tried it yet. A note about Zappos great service: I normally wear 9.5 in Keen shoes. I ordered the 9 in this one since it doesn't come in half-sizes. The 9 was too small. Rather than go through the return, refund, reorder process, I asked if I could do an exchange for the size 10 -- the 10s were at my house before I could get the 9s to the UPS store for return! (Love the pre-paid UPS label print-out option, too!)

Karen in Vermont - This is a great looking and feeling shoe. I haven't worn it to swim in yet, but as the other reviewer experienced, I have concerns it will stay on my feet. Normally I wear a size 10, but when I received these in 10 they felt as though the roominess would fill with water and become heavy and possibly fall off. So I reordered in a 9. (I ordered them last night and they were here this afternoon!) The 9 is snugger and my toe touches the end of the shoe, but because it's rubber and neoprene, it's pretty malleable. Probably a 9.5 would be perfect, but I'm going with the smaller size. I've seen all four colors because my daughter got a pair too and between us we tried them all. The colors appear a little stronger than on my screen; very pretty too. I hope these work for the price!
I'd also recommend:
They fit pretty closely to the larger fitting Keen styles.

Cute but not comfortable - I ordered 2 colors, having read the reviews; I ordered half a size larger. The one pair fit well, the other was a bit too small. So the sizing is inconsistent in terms of length of the shoe. I like the look but I am afraid both pairs will go back because I need them for water aerobics and I do not think that the shoes will stay on my feet with vigorous movements.

All looks - no function - They float off your feet in the water! I'll be returning these shoes. Oddly, they are a combination of too short and too wide, in a sloppy kind of way.

Cute but not too comfortable - I thought this would be a great shoe for summer, but I wore it this weekend and it wasn't all that comfortable. There is no arch support and my foot got sweaty. I am an amputee and it went on my prosthetic really well (I have a hard time finding a shoe that will fit). If you have a flat foot this would work well but I need more arch support and a tighter fitting shoe.

Use as a water shoe - I bought the shoe for water aerobics. Had difficulty keeping the shoe on while running or fast kicking in water. Have not tried shoe out at beaches

I hate ugly shoes. Water shoes are ugly. This was my attempt at a compromise. The problem is they are still ugly and didn’t really function well. The water doesn’t drain out of them fast enough and you are left with soggy shoes that trap all the muck from the pond. One came off and I had to fish it out of 6 inches of mud-underwater. They run short-just the length was an issue not the width. I am usually a 9 and my toes were pressing against the end of the size 9 I ordered. The blue color was cute though.

Unstable with vigorous movement in water - I got these as water shoes for a scuba/snorkeling trip to some Asian islands. Generally useless all around. Were okay as beach shoes, though sand inside was frustrating. Useless in the shallow surf as suction would pull the heel off. Useless for light snorkeling as kicking movements would drag them off. (A smaller size would have been way too uncomfortable.) Eventually, their only use was being worn under dive fins for pretty snug and comfortable fins.

Light use only... I got these shoes hoping to use them for beach fishing and kayaking. They are cute to look at compared to other "water shoes". They are not very breathable however. My feet got very hot standing on the beach with the sun beating down and they did not dry as quickly as I had hoped. These factors also made me not like to use them while kayaking. They are comfortable, but too hot! Also, I've had them for only a few months and the elastic band has already lost its "stretch" from the heat and use and the shoes don't fit anymore because of this.

Not for Water Sports! I fell in love with the look of this shoe when I saw it on Zappos. When compared to other water shoes, these are adorable and versatile and you'd feel comfortable wearing them out on the town. Reviews online mention they might feel tight. Mine certainly did, but they were still doable: as a steadfast size 8, I just didn't want to go up to a 9. Had an 8.5 size existed, it would have been better. BUT reviews fail to mention that they get really loose when you wear them in the water; in fact, I couldn't even kick my feet in the water without fearing that they'd fall off. (My sad ending involves my right shoe finding a new home in the Ocoee River) SO--buy them if you want something cute to wear around or to the beach/pool. But if you're planning on swimming--or doing water sports---a lot in them, they're not going to be very useful.

So did not fit - I don't know what I was thinking after reading all the other reviews with fit issues. Yes, this shoe has problems. Granted, I have a fairly narrow foot (though I don't wear narrow width shoes), but this was far too wide. My heel was slipping out of it just walking around my apartment; this wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes in the ocean. As someone else mentioned, it’s also strangely too short as well. I know I couldn't take a larger size because of the width, so this, unfortunately was a bust. Too bad, at least this shoe actually looks cuter than most of its contemporaries (which is why I bought in the first place).
