Jerry's opinion - I have never owned a pair of sandals that act like a shoe, that act like a hiker, that act like a stream forder!!!! Fantastic product! Met all my expectations and more!

Keen arroyo II - Comfortable. Perfect for 12 hour shifts at work. I did order one size larger than usual and they fit great.

The black hardend parts of the sole wear off exposing the softer texture of the sole underneeth. Dissaponting for an otherwise great sandal. The older par did not exhibit this sad outcome. is it possible "made in China" is coming haunting US again.

This is a well ventilated hybrid shoe. They run a little big (even the manufacturer states this). I normally wear a 10.5 and a 10 fit me well. If the shoe isn't quite snug enough for you, just call Keen and they will ship you some "bungee laces" for free. These helped keep them snug toward the front of the shoes for me.

The shoes are good, but what I really want is some way that we run our country, with as much style and class as Zappos does with shoes, run for president. I will vote for you.

Toe area narrow - nothing like other Keens. Foot bed and arch great - wish Keen would widen toe area like the Newport as this Arroyo has a superior sole / arch and a full heel covering all lacking in Newport which I have worn for 10+ years. Also Keen should offer the elastic laces in place of the cords used on the Arroyo.

These sandals feel generally very good. They are a little warmer than I expected and the footbed needs a little more exercise to really settle in but I think they'll be fine on a trail as long as it is a dry day. The only other problem is pebbles getting in, but that's the nature of sandals.

Great shoe - but not the same as the Newport - If you are looking for an improved version of the Newport - then don't consider the Taos. The Newport is much more sandal like ... while the Tao's has elements of an athletic shoe and hiking shoe. The foot is more secure in the Tao, less movement inside the shoe. The sole is firmer and the tread is more pronounced. Much more arch support than in the Newport. Like the Newport, I recommend sizing up a half size. Width was the same - or perhaps a little less than the Newport .. hard for me to tell- my Newports are very well worn. It's not a shoe that totally contains your foot - there is more foot movement in the shoe than compared to a sneaker or hiking shoe .. this caused some heel blisters. I always get blisters with new shoes - so I expected this. My blisters have scarred over and I’m now able to run and hike in my Taos, without socks... no problems. The only thing that I’m curious about - not concerned - is how they will do in the water. I will (or would like) to use these on rocky creek beds - and when sailing. Curious how the upper leathers will last in the water (I suspect they will do just fine) and how quickly they will dry out. I hate buying shoes. I’m happy with having just one pair. The Taos is fitting my need... I wear these to work (medical) and in play (hiking, sailing, running).

I have owned about 5 pair of Keen and have been happy with each purchase. This Arroya is a comfortable shoe and offers decent support but they don't hold their form/shape. I took them as my only shoe on a 4 day trip. They have good support for walking but they become a sloppy fit. The strings for tighting don't really hold. I'll continue to by Keen but not happy with these.

It's at least half size larger! I felt I might accidentally 'roll' my ankle while walking on some uneven road but that could be attributed for not having a good fit.

I've owned several Keen shoes over the years, Arroyo and similar styles. All have been comfortable and stylish, but all have had problems with the quality of the fastenings. The laces break or the clasps at the end slowly lose their ability to keep the shoe fitting tight. I don't feel I've been getting my money's worth out of these shoes.

These are really poorly designed shoes. I am actually bleeding and being cut by the corners at the tongues. If you are looking for sandals you should look at Propets.

These shoes are awful! The lacing system is poorly designed in that after tightening and taking a few steps, the laces loosen up. I can't imagine hiking in these either, you would roll an ankle so fast! They have absolutely no support. I wouldn't recommend them!

Great shoe Is back!!! Happy to say my review in Feb was premature. When this shoe didn’t show up on the Keen website I called them...because....this is my go to shoe for summer. Keen told me they had discontinued this shoe. Wow! Low blow. But because I am on their mailing list I check every now and then for the Arroyo and sure enough there it was! OK....back to normal operations.

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for. I am a size 8 to 9 in a woman's shoe with a very wide (E width) foot and regretfully the women's sizes were to narrow and the smallest available in men's (size 8) was just too long for my foot. I regretted having to return them. Zappos' delivery and return process were excellent

Love these shoe/sandals. This is my third pair. I really like the closed heel of the Arroyo II. I wear them all the time, even with socks in winter in Northern Michigan (ok not when there's THAT much snow) because they are just that comfortable. I am in them constantly. I've been told I'm not allowed to wear them in the barn, but that doesn't last but a few weeks or so. I love KEEN shoes, I also purchase them for my safety shoes where I work. Cannot say enough good about them. I personally need to order half size larger to get the fit I want...but I do that with all my Keen products, safety shoes, sandals, hiking boots...everything Keen.

The is is my husbands 3rd pair! He absolutely loves the Keen Arroyo II. He’s a big guy, 6,1, 350# so he needs a shoe that will support and last, and these Keens fit the bill, especially for summer! He will wear them most days, and they will provide great, comfortable support! I plan on getting him a second pair so he can rotate his shoes, because he’s out working, on his feet all day, everyday, and he can wear these for work. Keens are great shoes, if you’re looking for a good shoe, with support, that will hold up, these will fit the bill! I usually have to sneak them in the garbage because they stink and are past their prime (at least 2-3 seasons) and replace them because he loves them so much! He put them on out of the box and said “ahhhhh”

Keen Sandals are not bought for style, unless you’re trying to look like a creature from ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’ Seems the elastic string lace material has been replaced with material that doesn’t stretch. In past versions the elastic lace would stretch, not retract and it was an experience similar to wearing hip high boots and only tying the arch area leaving the rest of the laces to flop around be tripped over. The wide toe box allows broad footed monsters to stomp around in comfort.

Too wide even with socks. Would say they are mostly true to size. Although size 12 and over you are stuck with full sizes. Returning. Otherwise, love the styling, look and purpose. Going to use as a lighter and cooler shoe for Boy Scout camp outs than my boots. Yet still provide some rugged traction.

I bought a pair of these for myself (I have wide feet) earlier this year, and also this second pair for my husband. We both love this shoe. It gives great support for hiking/walking and is comfortable to wear with or without socks. Highly recommend.
