I love these boots, they are my FOURTH pair. The other ones are standing by for rebuilds when I save up.

This boot with a little bit of care for the leather the last 4 years. I like the way it tilts forward just a hair, that makes your step a little quicker. A great everyday hiking backpacking boot.

Very comfortable and supportive boots that fit me perfectly. Size 15 with heavy wool socks keep my feet warm and dry. Best backpacking boots for moderately heavy load and daily use.

Best made and best fitting boot I have ever found and I have tried dozens plus.. I showed them to a friend and he immediately bought a pair and really likes them. I wish they made more other models in size 14.(49).

The Backcountry Boots are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The fit was good but the right heel cup needs to be stretched to alleviate rubbing my ankle. Good socks with thick shanks will be helpful in the break in process. After hiking in the mountains for my job with less expensive boots and horribly achy feet, these boots will be a pleasant surprise for the dogs..

A perfect hiking/camping/East Coast boot. Amazing leather, durable, handmade. I've been using it for 4 years and it has not failed me once. Expensive, but the best boot Italians make.

super sturdy. very warm and comfortable.
I purchased these for a few trips that i knew would involve snow, slush, and a lot of walking. Put 15 city miles on them in two days upon first wear. no blisters, no issues. Shoes are awesome.

This is my absolute favorite hiking boot nothing else compares. Don't want to talk bad about other brands but they should take some notes from these guys. I've tried Zamberlan shoes and they didn't last as long as these boots. You cannot go wrong with this specific boot unless of course it doesn't fit. When they wear out I will be replacing them with the same exact ones. Some people complain about how the laces come undone so if you plan on going on a hike or do some work be sure to double tie them. I find the lacing system to be perfect the way I lace up my boots. Check web pages for proper lacing.

Comfortable!!! Right out of the box these boots felt like walking on a cloud, and so warm. Within a day they were broken in, with no blisters. These will be perfect for him in heavy snow days, and are doing great for long walks around the city. Yesterday we walked 10 miles without an issue. Highly reccomend.

I've had these boots for over 3 years now. I will say at first they were somewhat tough to break in, but now the are the boot I'd rather wear most of the time. They are great for most occasions. I'd had never paid close to 300$ for footwear before but I'd say you definitely get your money's worth on these. The soles of mine are starting to come apart, little chunks of rubber are coming off, but still very durable and comfortable. But like I said I wear them everyday.. very good product, I hope to get another couple of years before I get a new pair...

These are just the greatest boots one can buy. The one piece construction eliminates all the seams and with gortex totally waterproof. I walk through creeks with these. They are fairly light with superb support.

I have had these for 2or 3 years, time flies, I hike up and down hills every day and I wear them for work and aside for some noticeable wear on the soles. The rest of the boots look like new yet, no cracked leather, no loosening of the the rubber rand around the bottom of the boot (much unlike the Kenetrecks that I own). They have been wet hundreds of times and they have not shrunk or cracked. They are very comfortable and fit like a glove, if I can ever wear them out, I can't wait to buy another pair and I would encourage you to try them, you will be happy.

Good stuff! I got a not too impressive pair of Zamberlans when I got the 310 Skil, a no-longer made lighter version of this shoe. One of the metal lace eyelets were mispositioned toward the toe, looking really idiotic, and probably had a slight effect on fit of the shoe. Plus that shoe was a half size smaller in the same size as I bought here 46 EU/11.5 U.S. Meaning it was a half size smaller than all Euro high grade hiking boots. So I was rolling the dice when I got this more rugged backpack version of the Skil Hiker and I am glad that I did. These are perhaps the best hiking/backpack boots that I ever bought, or at least as good as my Alicos, Hanwag, Danners, etc. I have no idea why the lighter 310 Skil came with a major defect, and was missized in manufacture, but the vioz is simply great! Comfort, construction, looks, fit and feel. The 310 Skil had an even tighter/narrower toebox (than this Vioz, and than most other hiking/backpack boots), and was pleasantly surprised that this boot has a more normal fuller toebox. good product in every respect, easily wearable right out of the box.

Best pair of boots I have ever own. I work on my feet all day on hard surfaces and hike everyday..Recently hiked Mt. Marcy in the ADK..18 miles of roots rocks and more rocks...no aches at all. This is my second pair and my first pair are 3 years old a little worn but still comfortable. Will continue to purchase these boots as long as they are continued to made in Italy. No OUT sourcing...just purchased another pair for our son!

So far so good! OK for 10+ years I was dedicated and faithful to that other Italian brand 'A' boot.. After loosing a toe nail constantly on each of 4 trips, I decided to switch up and give brand Z a whirl. Wow - super comfortable so far on weekend outings. The big test coming up on an 8 night trip but so far, I have confidence that these will more than make the grade. Good arch support even before I pulled the in-sole's out and place my orthodics in, a nice toe box and not to mention the little stylish Italian flag make these boots a good choice so far. Too early to tell if they will keep me dry hopefully I won't have to find out too soon - But with GorTex I'm sure they'll be just fine.

I have worn a large variety of boots in many different conditions. These boots are by far my go to every time. Some people complain about the leather scratching too easily or scuffing. If you wanted a nice leather loafer then you should have bought one. I have jammed these boots in between granite boulders to stabilize my self and stood in below ankle water for nearly an hour. These boots don't fail. I have at least 150 miles on them and the soles are only just starting to show significant wear. When it comes to a hiking/ light backpacking boot, I will always buy these boots.

Purchased this pair of Zamberlan Vioz GT's after being disappointed with a pair of Danner Mountain Light II's. Right out of the box, the Zamberlan's fit much better than the Mountain Lights (same size) and offered much better internal support. I have put about 50 miles on both sets of boots and the Zamberlans are much more comfortable simply walking the streets or hiking the trails. I am not affiliated with any shoe manufacturer or any retailer and always try to buy American products. I would rate the Danners with three stars and the Zamberlans with five. Since the price for both pairs of boots was similar, I challenge the Danner folks to improve their product in comfort and support. I have to give them the edge in natural brown appearance versus the European black, grey and red design. I don't understand why so many shoe and boot manufacturers are making products that look like a bowl of Froot Loops. I am keeping the Zamberlans and thinking about returning the Danners. Zappos rocks with their customer satisfaction and shipping items in size appropriate boxes. Amazon should take a lesson in that arena. Okay, I have trashed enough companies with truthful comments. I would strongly recommend anyone considering several of the other fine hiking boot manufacturers (they all make an excellent product) to buy the Zamberlans. It kills me not to buy and recommend the Made in America product, but comfort and fit always rules the day with my shoe and boot choices. I wear a 10.5 size, D width and the Euro 45 also labeled 10H fit like a glove. Thanks for reading this novel and enjoy the ride, hike or camp-out.

Best boot I ever owned. 3 years old now. Looks new. Amazing comfort. Just replaced the laces. This boot is top notch. Yes expensive. But well worth every cent. The quality and attention to detail is obvious. No china crap here. Italian workmanship. I can say enough about comfortable this boot is.
