I rarely get a boot or shoe that fits just right but when I put these on I knew I would be keeping them. They are true to length and have a fairly wide toebox. I often have to send a pair back because there isn't enough room there. The arches in most shoes are too high for me. These are close to flat. Again, just right for me. I'd think that if someone wanted a higher arch they could get inserts to fit just right for their feet rather than relying on getting a perfect fit out of the box. They are very comfortable and light for a mid hiker. I'm going to like these a lot. Zappos service was great, they didn't have the color I wanted but I got a discount on my second favorite color. It didn't matter anyway, I'm not buying them to make a fashion statement, I got them for hiking.
