I love these shoes they're casual yet I wear them in semi-formal situations they are true to size and if you usually take a half size in converse I would say go up rather than down they are somewhat loose but that's expected. I would recommend these shoes to anyone!

I absolutely love these shoes! And cannot seem to find them anywhere, and they are not on Converse site. Was going to e-mail company. Just thought I'd try here while looking for a specific pair for my boyfriend and found them! Am so happy! My daughter is looking at me crazy because I keep laughing out of excitement. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars always feel great and look awesome. The Simple Details are no exception. The oversized details of the grommets, the laces, the stitching, etc all look really cool. Pair these with some designer jeans that also have bold stitching like some True Religion Brand Jeans and you will be very stylish. Would definitely recommend these for anyone who loves Converse and looking like rock n' roll style. Great shoes.

If you are a member of the Cult of Chuck Taylor, then it is no secret that Chucks have their shortcomings. On a cold day, you may as well be barefoot. There is no arch support to speak of. And the soles don't add enough to your height to make lying on your eHarmony profile feasible. But, let's be honest, unless you are an octogenarian, you don't base your footwear purchases on trivialities like arch support. And you don't buy Chuck Taylors unless you are prepared to be the coolest kid in school. I am on my second pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Simple Details in nearly three years. I have worn Chucks for decades, and these aren't all that different from the original, but if you would allow me to blaspheme the name of Chuck, I would dare say they are an improvement. These are a little heavier than the standard Chucks, and they feel like an upgrade overall, as the material is sturdier. Over the years, my Converse have always seemed to last fairly well. When I finally replace a pair, it isn't typically because they have fallen apart. There is usually some small flaw, like a hole that develops on the sides or a sole that begins separating from the canvas, allowing toxic mold to form on my Hanes Premium socks. The shoes invariably seem like they would have lasted another few years if it wasn't for some minor imperfection that left me with exposed toes. These shoes were no different. The last pair are still in great shape after several years, but the sole started separating on the bottom in a way that isn't easily fixed. (I apologize for not being conversant with shoe industry jargon.) If you don't like cold feet, buy some fur-lined boots, Paris. But if you want the coolest shoes this side of clogs, fine sir or madam, I implore you to add these to your shopping cart. You know what, add two because you're going to need that second pair when Nike decides to stop making these. And then how cool are you going to be in three years when no one else has Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Simple Details? Very cool. As is mentioned elsewhere, you have to order these a half size smaller than normal Chucks. My advice: don't allow this to shatter your fragile ego.

These are great, they are cutter than the regular Converse. They do run big. I got them one size smaller. The chunky lace is really cute; they can be dressed up or down!

These shoes are so cute! I got the charcoal color and they're a little lighter than what the picture shows, but a nice gray color. These don't fit like the regular Chucks. In the regular Chucks I go a half size down from my regular size 8 to a 7.5, but since they don't make these in half sizes I first opted with the 8's and had to return them for a 7, which fit perfect. Well worth the buy and Zappos has awesome customer service!

I really like the larger laces and eyelets. These are really set apart from the regular Converse shoes. The fabric of the shoe is also different from the regular style Converse. Converse normally look huge, but with the larger laces and eyelets, I think it has a shrinking effect with your eyes.

Same good old Converse Chucks, look just like the picture advertises, simple and good quality. I\'ll buy another pair once these ones get too worn out.

I liked these shoes so much that this is my second pair, but they are not good shoes if you have foot problems because there is no arch support at all.

Love these unique style Chuck Taylors. I enjoy the wide-set gromets that set these Chucks apart from every other pair out there! Plus the dark gray resists the appearance of dirt. This is a very comfortable and flattering casual shoe to wear.

This is my first pair of converse and while I was looking for a pair of fun knock-around sneakers, these surprised me in how comfortable and fun they are! I spent Memorial Day weekend walking around Washington DC and not even a blister. The sneaks are comfy and a little wider than I had expected. I would definitely get another pair.

I absolutely love these Chucks! The extra firm canvas. They are much more structured than the regular Converse All Star Chuck Taylors. The wider grommets are great looking with the thick laces. I don't mind that they are flat soles because I have pretty flat feet so arch support is not an issue for me. I did notice they are a little heavier than my slip-ons that I have and I think that is due to the extra rubber on the sole detail. Plus their shipping time is GREAT. I received them in 24 hours.

I bought my first pair of these years ago and then they were discontinued. Upon searching relentlessly, I tried Zappos and they notified me by email once they were back in stock. Awesome! The shipping was free and i received them a day after I ordered. Awesome! I absolutely love these shoes. They are a little different than your average chuck. I adore the fat laces. I have noticed the canvas fades over time but the laces stay black black. I should order 4 more pairs before they discontinue again! Buy a pair of these! No, just kidding, save them for me!

Great looking shoe but it definitely runs big. I am a size 6-6.5 so normally a men's size 4 would work but it didn't. I had to return for a size 3.

I LOVE this shoe!! I have long, skinny feet and the regular Converse make my feet look very long. This is my favorite shoe ever! I've had mine for 4 years or so, and wanted to get a new pair, but they weren't in stock! Now that they're back, I'm stocking up! It fits true to size, and is very comfortable! I just ordered 2 more in black. I hope the other colors come back in stock soon.

These, like all Cons (in my experience) are very comfortable and give nice support despite the flexibility of the canvas. I was hoping that the oversized details and fat laces would help my long, narrow feet look a little smaller. No such luck (maybe if they had dark laces!), but I love that the chocolate color goes with a lot of things. They're keepers.

My favorite pair of All Stars ever - The shoes are hands down the coolest pair I've ever had, and they weren't even that expensive. I love the oversized detail on these shoes, and I get compliments on them all the time, even though I've worn them out and they are now my long boarding shoes. I can't wait to get another pair.

Need half sizes... These shoes are so cute but I had to send them back because they were too big. I ordered a size 6 in men’s because I usually wear a woman’s 8. The shoes were too big to wear comfortably but I didn't need a whole size smaller. I'm really disappointed they don't come in half sizes so I could exchange them.

Converse's Chuck Taylor All Star Simple Details Ox - Great shoe! While it still looks like a Chuck, I love the unique appearance of this style. The material is a bit thicker than a normal Chuck, giving it a little more sturdiness. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it and would buy another pair in a heartbeat! Note: I normally wear a 7.5 and these fit perfectly in a 7.

Cool Sneaker! I usually wear a 9 to a 9 1/2. I got a 9 and they were a bit too big. I added a pad and now they fit perfectly and are more cushiony, too.

A great shoe - When I just want to wear a t-shirt and jeans but still look put together, this shoe gets the job done. They go with everything and look great with skinny, straight let, boot cut or flare jeans. I will always have a pair of Chuck Taylors in my closet!
