Durability is the issue here. These boots are beautiful, warm in the winter, even better in the summer (even when you think an insulated boot would cook your feet). I own a farm where we work outside a lot. Even though I gave these boots two stars, I love them dearly. My issue with them is simply durability. Scarpe up against a limb while walking, and touch a piece of wire, and you'll rip holes in them very very easily, especially in the soft, neoprene section on the shaft of the boot. Even the area where the foot rests has been punctured by limbs. Mine are less than a year old and full of holes that I have tried to patch, but patching neoprene isn't as easy as I would like it to be. Overall, I love these boots, but I'll have to find another substitute, as they simply don't hold up to the rigors of really being outdoors. Beautiful, comfortable, warm, dry, stable, are all words I would use to describe these boots. Unfortunately, durable is not one of them.

these boots were presented to me as being warm into the negative temperatures but my feet have never been warm wearing these boots. they are also stated to be 100% waterproof but the 2nd yr of hunting they were leaking. i have never been to pleased with them except that they are comfortable and easy to walk in.

For two years I've been passively browsing for warm, perferably slip-on, (mens) winter boots that are decently safe for winter driving. Most boots are too stiff in the cuff or too massive to drive a stick-shift on winter mountain roads. On this account these seem pretty good. I started this process 45 days ago. The first pair I recieved (mail order) were womens. I exchanged them for these. This pair runs about a full size smaller than the UltraHighs (too stiff ankle), which I did try out. I have heard that other Bogs pack out, so the jury is still out on long term. After all the time and effort I have spent on this and shipping, I'm not feeling very thrilled about these. To top it off, the temps reached well into the 50's today, testing these in snow is going to be awhile. Try them out before buying. The top of the heal cup is quite low and bites into the top of my ankle bone, especially on the left. I will try update this review in month or so. Sorry to Bogs for the lousy review. Make predicably/ consistently sized footware, especially, if it's not lace-up.

Reviews say - keep feet warm, nope, in 50 deg weather maybe, - great traction, no way, I slip and slide in wet grass, mud, snow. Forget about hills.

These are awesome; we're a Bogs family. However, they barely lasted two years. The area by the pinkie toe is splitting, rendering them useless for snowy work in western Massachusetts. Disappointing. Would love to get a coupon toward a new pair - very disappointed.

Ordered these boys online for my husband. He wore them about 5 times before noticing they had holes in them. I contacted the customer service requesting a replacement pair and have yet receive a response. I chose bogs over muck lucks I'm thinking that was a bad choice!

The primary reason that I purchased my Classic High boots directly from this Bogs website was because of the FLEX WIDTH premium footbed feature listed in the product description above. When I received my boots I was very disappointed to find that they did not have FLEX WIDTH footbeds. They came with something called BLOOM footbeds which are just a basic/generic footbed that cannot be adjusted. I immediately contacted Customer Service and politely asked why I did not receive FLEX WIDTH footbeds, if there was a mistake, and if there was a mistake would it be possible for me to purchase a pair of FLEX WIDTH footbeds because I really need them to make my boots function correctly for me. They replied quickly but failed to answer any of my questions, and/or provide me with any solutions. They only told me I should have purchased another model that has FLEX WIDTH footbeds. Considering the inaccuracy I already encountered with this Bogs website, and the money I already wasted, I think I'll look elsewhere. I hope that Bogs at least makes an effort to fix the product description so that no one else makes the same expensive mistake that I did.

Coldest insulated boot I've ever worn. As soon as I stepped onto 35deg wet ground I could feel the cold in my feet. Returning them.

My husband works outside delivering propane and is in need of boots that will hold up to lots of bending, walking, and climbing. The boots did not have good grip and were very uncomfortable.

Way too big, too much room between top of foot and boot. Water gets in through sole/bottom of boots. Do not keep you warm at all. Heel wears out extremely fast. These are not worn constantly and they are already no good after a few months. Would not buy again.

Very disappointing. Water constantly gets in through the soles/bottom of boots. They are HUGE and I ordered my usual size. Way too much room between top of foot and boot. Heel wears out fast. I don't wear these constantly either. Only had a few months. Won't be buying this brand again.

Initially very impressed. I had to return the boots for a different size. I waited 14 days to make sure they had arrived back to the factory. I called & the had arrived 2 days previous. The guy said he would get my new boot right out. 4 days later they were shipped back. Pretty slow response & I wonder how long it would have taken If I wouldn't have called.

When I received these boots, one shoe fit considerably more snug than the other, so much so that my girlfriend was able to put them both on with much smaller feet and was able to tell the difference.

I bought my first pair of Bogs Classic High several years ago based on a hunting blog I read about them being the widest waterproof hunting boot around. My feet are EE. My first pair fit like slippers and I loved them. When they started leaking the company replaced them at no charge which I thought was awesome. I went on a 20 min. walk in the new pair and my feet were aching. By the time I got home I had two blisters, one on each heel. WHAT HAPPENED? The new boot is much narrower, the sole is as stiff as steel (good luck feeling a stick under foot), and the upper is stiff as well with limited flex, casing the hell to rub (i.e. the boot doesn't move with the foot.) I guess my search for a comfortable hunting boot continues....

I bought a pair of these last winter to wear at work. I do good bit of walking on asphalt and cement, about 10 to 12 miles per day. Perhaps it is just me but my feet were always cold and borderline numb while wearing them outside in temperatures below 20F and no colder than -5F wearing thermal socks as well. Also, despite getting a size I felt fit very well, in about two months my heels had completely worn through the lining. The treads had pretty much disappeared on the heels and under the toes. I weigh 165 lbs and I walk fast, but I have a pair of running shoes about 8 years old with over a thousand miles on them and the soles look barely worn. I did get a lot of compliments on their style, and I thought they looked very well made they just did not hold up very long for me.

I got a pair of these to wear working on boats and outdoors on land. They lasted me less than a year - the rubber began to crack right away but I had no option on the boat but to continue to wear them. The traction was gone within 4 months, and finally, the material beneath the rubber upper split so badly that the boots are no longer waterproof. Not a good investment.
