This is an excellent shoe: functional design, waterproof rubber upper, warm and good traction on ice. Unfortunately, the forefoot is far too narrow; the fit is so tight that the show becomes painful the longer you wear it. Tight boots restrict foot circulation in subzero weather = cold feet! Bogs needs to rethink the design and increase the width of the forefoot.
I'd also recommend:
Perfect Storm, LL Bean, other Bogs models

I use my boots as a winter slip on boot to brave the sloppy Midwest winters. I like the look of the boots and that they are waterproof. I also like the thick sole to the boots. They offer a nice cushioned sole that gives me good support. My main complaint with them is just that they are too heavy. I feel like Frankenstein wearing them because they are so heavy. They also make your feet sweat a lot and are not very breathable so I mainly use them for short jaunts into the cold snowy tundra.

I have purchased three pairs of these and use them in chemical application. They all have lasted about 7 months of daily use walking in gravel and dirt . Then the seam splits where the ball of your foot is. They are great other than this issue, I am forced to purchase a new pair even though there is still plenty of tread on sole and life left in the shoe. But I can't have a shoe that leaks.

Quality of construction was great, nice concept for a waterproof outdoor shoe, but it was too tight and difficult to put on. I was looking for a comfortable, versatile waterproof slip-on that was easy to get on and off. I ended up sending this shield back.

Second pair both pairs seams separated half way through 2nd winter. Long before the rest of the shoe.

I live in Tillamook and think this shoe needs a few modifications to be popular here. It desperately needs a full length wedge sole with less tread. Some of us wear logging boots with heels, but a romeo shoe is for putting on for the drive home after taking your work boots off. Romeos are supposed to be for comfort. A block heel doesn't let you casually shuffle around in the grocery store, or to the woodshed. And by having a flat treadless sole, it lets you easily wipe your feet off, keeping the entry to your house clean, and wife happy. And last, it would be nice to have a "wide" size that doesn't cut in on your toes so much. Man feet are square, not pointy.

Headline says it all. Tried with and without socks, elastic band at ankle is hardy and tight. I would be considered "skinny" aka not having thick ankles. Walked in them for 1 minute and my skin was already irritated. Style is nice, I wish these could've worked for me. :? Typically a 10.5 I ordered a 10 because I thought I'd use them mostly with either thin or no socks. The size was fine, but again the elastic at the ankle is a deal breaker.

After speaking with customer service i found out that Bogs only come in one width. I have always worn a double E width and was led to believe that these were stretchy enough to fit. "Not True". If you have wide feet I would recomend a different brand that offers wide width shoes and boots... Mike C.

Good work shoes, seams wear out too quick, and shoe eventually cracks letting water in. Other then that, shoe is OK.

I bought these boots for work; landscape maintenance in the Pacific Northwest. I needed a good work boot that I could change into quickly, were comfortable, waterproof and could stand up to the rigors of working all day on a variety of terrain. They were comfortable, easily changed into and were waterproof. However, they only lasted 4 months before failure. They split along the seam where the upper goes into the reinforcement band that connects the upper to the sole. Then shortly after words they failed on the upper where the shoe creases when squatting. These would be fine for the casual gardener, but just did not suit my needs.

I have had 3 or 4 bogs/ tillamook before and found them acceptable. My new pair is absolutely awful to get on even with a 18'' shoe horn. The opening for the foot has been reduced in size because my feet have not grown..

Got a pair for Christmas to wear at work (I work in are cold, wet environment), and they were immediately comfortable. They also did a decent job of keeping my feet warm. Unfortunately, less than 6 months later there are burst seams on both shoes, and cracked rubber on the left. No longer waterproof, therefore no longer suitable for their intended use.

Bought these for my husband and likes everything about them. He had a pair for 3 plus years and started to leak. Was happy to have them replaced.

I wrote an earlier review about the poor design of the heel which is very thin and was worn out in 2 months. I contacted Bogs and they have a fabulous customer service approach. First off, they were surprised and then appreciative to hear about the design flaw. A very small company, because I got the same person (Jacob) both times I called. On the second call, he referred me to Sonya and she is sending me a different style shoe (Urban Farmer) which I trust will meet my expectations.

I LOVED these shoes before I HATED them. Very stylish and practical. Alas after wearing them for less than three months they are ready for the trash bin. The heel is actually a "honeycomb" design so after moderate wear, the thin outer layer of the heel wore down to reveal an open cell that was collecting pebbles and causing a strange sound with every step.

The only complaint that I have about this particular pair of shoe is that the sole of the shoe split open on the bottom. I have experienced this on this pair of shoe!! BOGS was kind enough to send me a replacement at no charge when I complained about it.
