I purchased this shirt to protect me from the sun while doing less active things outdoors. The fit is large for me. The positive side of this is that it prevents clinging once sweaty. The fabric is very light, dries quickly, and is very cool. The shirt is well ventilated and cool breezes coming through the back vents are wonderful. I appreciate all the pocket space but the function of some of the tabs and loops don't make sense to me.

I am sure i will like the shirt but what I really wanted was to buy more of the Utilizer II shirts. However, they were not available anywhere.

I originally bought this shirt to protect me from the sun while in my boat but once I saw it I decided to wear in the boat and as a casual shirt. I wore the shirt for the first time a few days ago and was quite impressed. The weather that day was hot and humid with slight breeze and I was quite comfortable. I'm considering buying more.

The Bahama Long Sleeve shirt is really cool, in more ways than one! The material is so light and breezy that you feel almost as if you had no shirt on at all. This shirt runs large for a good reason - you'll want to wear it over a t-shirt. It makes the perfect second layer, but you'll want to keep it on because of the style and color. The sleeves come with a light strap on the inside of the upper arm, and fastens to a button on the outside of the upper arm over the rolled-up sleeve. This lets you keep the action going without the interruption of continually having to repeat the rolling up of the sleeve. Two minor improvements I would make: add a second sleeve strap opposite the first, to keep the rolled up sleeve from looking lop-sided; and ditch the collar buttons and make the collar taller. The only disappointment is that I think the collar and pocket flap and folds beg to be ironed.

This is a great product but it does run large (if your a Medium, order a Small for a closer fit). It is unbelievably light and perfect for hot weather. Being able to roll up the sleeves makes it an ideal choice even over the short sleeve option. The shirt also beads water and protects against the sun very well.

Very long sleeves and material stiff and wrinkled. Not like my other Columbia shirts.

Nice shirt but too big. I ordered this shirt for a treck we are planning. I ordered a medium, but this fits like a large. I wish i could find a way to exchange it for a small. Other than the size i liked the quality and color

Nice shirt but sleeves too short. I purchased a medium for my husband. The shoulder width is more than ample but the sleeves hit above his wrist. I guess I need to look for tall sizes.

Ordered a size down per reviews. Sleeves were too short, chest fit good, but there was a TON of room in the gut area, like this shirt was designed for dudes with beer guts. The shirt was also too short.
I returned the small for a medium, overall fit was better as far as sleeve length, collar, and back length. however the extremely loose fit in the gut compared to the normal fit of the chest really irks me. i wish it was more of a "straight" fit instead of opening up so much towards the bottom of the shirt.
Save your money and buy the tamiami instead, that shirt has a much better fit

size is not precise, due to arms larger and hips are shorter than expected

I have not worn it yet. It may be a year before I do. I like the color and pockets. Wish I could get that color in a Bonehead shirt.

Runs larger than expected. I normally wear an XL. Sote says it runs large and too order a size down. So I ordered a L. That was too big for me too. I'm going to send it back and get a M instead and see how that works out for me.

good shirt.
good price AFTER reward discounts.
good color choices (but some awful ugly ones, too).
Wayyy too many flashy little signs and tags and labels all over the shirt. I have cut off some of them, but others are embroidered and not removable. A dark magic marker tones them down temporarily.

For the first time, I have to rate one of my Columbia shirts as "Fair" in quality. Overall the shirt was just what I expected however, when it came to the buttons quality control missed the mark. The buttons down the front of the shirt were miss aligned. One as much as 1&1/14" off horizontal line from the top button. I own 8 variations of the Columbia open back shirts and this was the first I would not rate as "Excellent" quality. Luckily my wife is a seamstress and it was an easy fix, just a bit disappointing.

I live in Florida and spend every day in the sun boating, fishing or sitting on the beach. I live in these shirts. The fabric feels great, almost like cotton, as opposed to many SPF shirts. They are comfortable, cool, and offer great sun protection.
Unfortunately the shirt has one big flaw; the pockets do not stay closed. Anything with a little bit of weight will fall out. I lost an iiPhone that way. Active guys need the use of these pockets.
I hope Columbia can fix this because otherwise these are the perfect shirts. Columbia has zippers on other shirt pockets, why not these?

Disappointed. After a few weeks and washes. This shirt started coming apart at the seems on the back vent panel. It was not stitched well and the material is frayed. It is a comfortable shirt and fits well, but i fear it may not last long.

Color is great and vibrant, but material sucks. It's like paper. Sweat right thru it and need another shirt very fast in south Florida heat.

I'm 5'9 and 185 lbs. I normally wear a MEDIUM/LARGE. I ordered a MEDIUM and this shirt was way too big on me. Should have ordered a small (%except I don't wear size SMALL).

Love the color. I typically wear a large in the Tamiami. I had to get this one in a Medium. Unfortunately, the sleeves are a little short. I prefer the fit and fabric of the Tamiami.

The material is nice and light, and the style is what I wanted. Craftsmanship seems decent too. My complaint is that the proportions are off. I prefer relaxed fit clothing in order to have plenty of ease of movement. This goes far beyond relaxed though. I normally wear either large or medium in shirts, so based on reviews, I ordered a medium and small size. The sleeve length on the medium was perfect, but it was gigantic in the torso and chest. The small fit well in the torso and chest but was slightly short. If the "Tall" version of this shirt came in a small, that probably would have been perfect, but the tall options only seem to start at large. I consider myself average/athletic build, so I would have thought it would be easier to get a shirt that fit, given that Columbia makes clothing for active, outdoor lifestyles. It's a decent shirt. I kept the small size. I just wish they made it in a size that fit a more standard body type.
