Great.
I got these for my 18 month old twins. They run long, so at first they were tripping a bit. But they are cute and apparently comfortable. I also got a matching pair for my 4 year old, and the twins think it’s great to have the same shoes as their big sister.

Good all around kid sneaker -
These shoes are great for my 2.5 year old, because he can practice putting the shoes on and off all by himself, and they look cool!

Love the look of the shoes but would not recommend if you are out and about all day. Took my 2 year old to the zoo and she was complaining that her feet hurt by the end of the day. Inside soles are very hard and no support.

Sizing and no arch support -
My child is a size 10 according to the size chart. However when I received this shoe it was huge and the inside measures 7 inches which according to the shoe chart would be a size 12. Two sizes larger than marked! There is also absolutely no arch support. I really wish they could put the inside measurements of each shoe on the website. It’s a bit disappointing and hard to ship back because I live in Canada. Oh well. Guess I will have to wait for his foot to grow.

These are great little shoes. I have purchased three pairs for my son so far and have not been disappointed. They fit him well, go with every outfit, and are easy to put on or off. He seems very pleased with them as well, though it is hard to tell with a two year old, he may just be happy to go outside. I plan to keep getting these unless my little one requests otherwise. Pray he never finds out there are Thomas-themed ones!

My son has very wide feet, and can only wear shoes with double velcro straps. He loves these Vans and refuses to wear any other shoes. Plus they look cute!
I'd also recommend:
Pediped double-velcro strap shoes are also very wide

Aside from the fact that they look awesome, Vans are the perfect shoe for toddlers learning how to walk. Forget Stride Rite! Vans are flat, wide, and heavy in the sole, giving your chile an extremely solid base for walking. Ever since I began using them on my kids, they have been walking straighter and with much more balance. Vans are sturdy shoes and they will easily last until they are outgrown. Perfect toddler shoe!

Perfect shoes for little boys. I love the style and the all black. Black sole hides dirt. This is my sons 4th pair of vans this style. They fit great and the two straps make it easy to get them on and stay on. Love these shoes for my 1 1/2 year old.

Love them! These shoes are easy to put on my toddler and take off. You can dress them up and wear them causally.

Love these shoes! Great fit. I like the velcro better than the slip-on for better staying-on power. Also, my little guy has chubby feet and these are roomy enough for him.

Our little boy's favorite -
This is the second pair of Vans we've bought for our son who is nearly two. (The first pair were the Old School version, which he has worn out.) We bought the blue checkered ones and he absolutely loves them. They're easy to get off and on thanks to the velcro fastenings and they look adorable on his feet. He seems to really like them, too, as he'll choose them first any time he has an option to pick his shoes for the day.

Now we're cool -
My autistic son with sensory issues and wide feet is amazingly comfortable in this shoe. It increases his cool factor… great shoe - I may buy some for my 2 year old.

Little Rockstar -
It took me 10 months to find a shoe that fit my son. I had to find something that fit his thick little foot, something that was comfortable for him - but also stylish enough for mommy. Seriously, we did try many brands of shoes. It was difficult to find a shoe that fit properly. My 10 month old son has a very thick foot. This is not the same as wide. We tried several varieties of shoes that were labeled wide width and we only found a couple that fit. This is a great shoe. He doesn't mind wearing it and it seems to be fine for crawling and standing. He has not started to walk yet, but I assume it will do fine for walking as well. We get great comments on the shoe also - people love the checkerboard appearance. Overall it is a great shoe and I will buy more in the future.

Bought this for my grandson - great style and sturdiness. His dad was pleased. Love Zappos, great shoes at great prices.

Being all black is definitely a plus with an active toddler. It hides dirt and scuffs and appears looking "new" longer. This shoe seems to run a bit narrow, so if you have a toddler with wider feet, don't expect the velcro to pull all the way across the top. The don't really stretch either, so don't depend on that to happen.

Cute but makes my kid look like he's got duck feet. They fit OK but they spread out somehow and it's easy to trip over them. He seemed to have a hard time walking in them.

My son has had several pairs of Vans and has loved them. I ordered the black/white checked Vans because they are so hip and come with the velcro closure. Unfortunately, I noticed right away that they were not made as well as our other pairs. Right off I could see that the velcro straps were unevenly sized and poorly constructed, as was the "tongue" -- it was not sewed in unevenly. Also, the logo on the back of the shoe was glued on crooked. We still kept them, and my son was wearing them. But after having them for less than two weeks, the innersoles pulled out of both shoes! So sadly, I have decided to return them. I am so disappointed. It looks to me like this shoe was made in a different factory than the other Vans we have purchased for our son (maybe even a different country?).
