My husband loves these sneakers. They look great with jeans. Comfortable, yet cool and great for travel too.

This adidas Originals Gazelle are cheaper than the ones you can find in an official adidas Originals store. You can notice that in the model name placement. The quality is slightly lower than the regular, but it is good enough. It would interesting to know why these differences.

Like the other poster here - I got the squeak. The squeak went on for about two weeks, then stopped unlike theirs. The shoes themselves are pretty comfortable, and they work with pretty much any outfit. They're great shoes to have laying around and wearing pretty much wherever, that's why this is my second pair. The problem I've found is that they wear out after about 6 months of wear. Both pairs I purchased have an irreparable hole in the bottom after just about 6 months. The rest of the shoe holds up very well, but you can't exactly wear a shoe without a bottom.

These shoes are stylish, but that's where it ends. Due to a absolutely terrible design flaw, they squeak loudly everywhere. I thought it would go away with time but it has only gotten worse. Unfortunately, they are way too worn to be returned. Really regretting my purchase.

This is my third pair of Gazelles. My previous pairs lasted years, worn daily. These fit me a little small, whereas the same size on my old ones fit fine. Worst feature by far is the squeaking; my previous ones did not squeak. I tried treating the tongue with talcum powder. It worked for a week, but now they're back to squeaking. Have been wearing them every day for six weeks, thinking they will surely stop with time. In the meantime, it's annoying and embarrassing.

Classic shoe from Adidas. Great casual shoe as well as very functional as an athletic shoe. Absolutely comfortable as an everyday shoe. I've owned many pairs over the last 20+ years and see many more in my future.

I wish these really were exactly like the original Gazelles that got me into running big time in the early 1970s. These and the Mexicanas, a similar but slightly lighter weight shoe. I tried these on at a store about five years ago, couldn't stand how narrow they were. Of course, my feet had gotten bigger by then than when I was a teenager in 1972! I am going to try these again but wonder what's with the plastic tongue? The originals were all suede, I understood it was kangaroo, not cowhide. I wore them without socks of any kind and they changed my life. The cushioning and arch support and simple design worked better for me than all the scientifically hyped up designs since. These are kind of like the skateboards that are popular again now, compared to the ones from the 1980s-to about five years ago. Kids are using the flat simple boards, and these shoes are like that.

Horrible, very loud squeaking from the tongue rubbing against the inside leather of the shoe. I could never hope to be a ninja, or move anywhere without announcing my presence with these air horns on my feet. The nice styling isn't worth it.

Bought this shoe for my daughter in the Marine color and was disappointed that the color shown was not the color that showed up on my doorstep. The color pictured is a deep navy blue and a lighter shade of blue was actually what it was. Kept the shoes anyway.

Literally the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. Seems like they measure the size from the upper part of the shoe, which is slightly larger than the actual base, so everything feels cramped. The width is so thin it felt like I was standing on a tennis ball because the inner curve of the shoe was so far inside in relation to my foot. They look amazing but I really don't think going up a size would help, they are still extremely thin. I have two pair of Adidas Campus, same size, and they fit much better. They have a similar profile but the Campus has a larger base, is wider, and feels more substantial.

Got these for my husband. He loves them. Ended up having to go 1/2 size larger than he normally wears. I got him the greenish/khaki color and I really like the way they look. Can't go wrong with old school!

I 've been a loyal Gazelle customer since 1990. However, this last order was terrible because the shoes are unbelievably squeaky. I thought it would pass after putting some baby powder on the tongue to reduce the friction. However, it's still squeaky 5 months later. I've got to put generous amounts of baby powder once a week. I saw an online video where you can use shoe wax to also resolve the problem, but who has shoe wax handy. Sadly, this is the last pair of Gazelles I'll ever buy. I'm very sad that the quality has gone down hill. Would have been a customer for another 25 years if this problem didn't exist.

Although these shoes looked absolutely dope and the grey with blue stripes garnered a lot of attention and compliments, they unfortunately didn't hold up in build quality. I bought them in March and by mid summer, the soles were worn smooth and cracked making them unwearable when it rains because the soles let in water and get my socks wet. The Sambas I had previously lasted me almost 4 years, these shoes lasted 4 months. I don't get it, I wasn't hard on the shoes, I walked a couple miles a day in them to and from work and even split days with a pair of Vans. Extremely disappointing from Adidas, my Sambas must have been made of something magical.

I hate these shoes! The tongue is made out plastic. The shoe farts when I walk with every step and the Dorsum of my foot sweats because its in contact with the plastic. Huge disappointment! I wish I could get my money back.

With the Adidas Campus II no longer available I bought the Gazelles. It's a "cheaper" version of the campus II. Much more of a narrow fit, and the plastic tongue tends to squeak when you walk.

They look good and are comfortable, but the squeak is ridiculous. Did anyone at Adidas test these shoes when they came off the production line? The material used for the tongue might as well be made out of styrofoam. At first I thought the squeaking would go away once I broke them in, but a month later and I still sound like a clown.

Great shoes! They are as comfortable and stylish as I remember them when I wore them in my youth. Highly recommend but definitely order a size down from the what the men/women size comparison provided by the company. A+.

Love these shoes. They are incredibly comfortable and stylish. I get compliments every time I wear them. I did have to go down a half size for them to fit best.

Good looking shoes that even got compliments, but three months later, they're worn out! The tops still look good, but there are holes worn in the soles. I live in the city & have only worn them on the street! I guess they're not intended as an "everyday" shoe, but rather an "occasional" shoe!

Fine shoes, but the Gazelle II are better. We bought them as a substitute as we couldn't get the Gazelle II. My husband also likes the Samba better, but we couldn't find them in subdued colors. These gave my husband horrible blisters on his ankle bone. He would have returned them if he hadn't worn them outside. He's finally managed to break the shoes in (or did the shoes break him in?), however, and they're ok now.

These sneakers are classic cool. I bought them for a trip to Europe for two reasons: first, they look awesome. Second, they are extremely comfortable. It took a couple of wears to break them in, and now they are good to go. Before purchasing, I went back and forth between these and the Sambas. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

These shoes were close to being awesome shoes which is why I'm so disappointed in them. They look great, don't get me wrong, but the tongue of the shoe is ridiculous. It's made out of very cheap material and SQUEAKS SO FRIKN LOUD. I had to slip on black ankle socks on the tongues to get rid of the squeak. With that being said, I really do like this shoe besides that one major flaw. If your willing to put socks on your shoes to make them better than this shoe is for you.

This is a classic and I have owned dozens in my life but recently they have changed the tongue to a cheap plastic material which creates a loud squeaking sound when you walk.

Love the sneaker but the tongue squeaks so loud people turn around to see what's coming. I'm seriously thinking of cutting the whole thing off.
