Break it in, then it's a great shoe! Do not expect these to be great on day 1. You must order at least a half size up, maybe a whole size. Then wear them around the house with socks on for two days, they stretch a lot. Then they are the best flat you'll ever own. I love mine.

Nice ballet flats. Very soft suede in dark brown. I ordered a half size up because of my bunions. The shoes seem to stretch for that part of my foot. Wish more shoes have a wide size.

Nice soft leather, wide toe box and quiet when you walk. I ultimately returned them because when I walk the sides open a lot.

I've had these shoes before and they are hit or miss. Definitely need to stretch first time wearing them.

Bought these in my normal size and had these shoes for a year. These shoes were always tight and never stretched out for me and in the summer it was worse - too tight. I loved the style though found that they were never my go to shoes because the fit was uncomfortable and now after reading the reviews I see that I had the wrong size and needed to size up a half size. I ended up donating my last pair and now I am considering to try these again in a bigger size since I like the style.

Lovely shoe, but it runs small. I am not dancer, but I have worn many shoes and the sizing of this shoe is off. I am not interested in buying a ballet slipper that I have to “break in”I’m just looking for a cute and comfortable flat. If you’re not a ballerina, like some of the previous reviewers, do yourself a favor and order a size up.

These are just what I want a flat to look like. I ordered a half size larger and they fit better. They are not particularly comfortable but I am hoping after a bit of wearing that they will soften. Flats are hard to find just the right look--not to grandma-y.

I usually size down to a 9.5 in flats and sandals due to having a narrow foot that causes me to walk out of most 10's. I wear 10.5N in running shoes. Given the reviews saying they stretch, I started with a 9.5 in the Sloop. This did not work as I could barely get my foot in the shoe. I have now tried the 10's and they are also quite snug in the length. Will try again at different times of day to see if this may work or if I need to actually size up through the store website for these as no other seller seems to carry 10.5. The 2nd pair is croco leather, which is a bit shiny and cute but seems not as soft as the nappa, particularly around the edges.

These are very cute in the black patent. I followed the reviews saying they would stretch to fit and ordered my usual size 7.5 however the vamp nearly quite literally cut the top of my foot. I do have a high instep though. I just don't see even being able to walk more than one step in them. I might try them in a full size larger but am afraid that might end up too long for my foot.

I wear size 10 always. I ordered a size 10 and couldn’t get my foot in it. I checked it multiple times because I thought I received the wrong size. I exchanged them for a size 11. They’re still snug but okay.

I normally wear a size 5.5 or 6. Since these run small I ordered the 6.5 and it is still way too small. Returned and will try the size 7.

read the reviews and decided to order these in black and chocolate suede. returned the black immediately because they are light inside and it looks awkward when wearing them with black tights. ordered the brown in my regular size 7 and per the reviews gave them a good few days to break in. still too tight and painful on my heel and I dont want to be uncomfortable wearing flats for that price. however I do like how they look so will try the 7,5 and hopefully that will solve the problem.

Loved the look of this shoe and it is hard to find black patent flats. Like other reviews say these are snug but I can see where in time they will stretch out so don’t panic. I returned these though because there isn’t much support if any at all and I went with the Sam Edelman Rodney and it’s sassy style!! But these French Sole’s are a cute, true ballet flat with a crinkled type patent which is cute too! Just not much support at all!!

These are beautiful well-made shoes. However, as some reviewers pointed out, they are tight across the toe. I was sorry to have to return them.

The length felt short and my feet are too puffy on the top to wear these shoes - looked like I had foot-muffin-top. Probably a cute shoe for someone with less fleshy feet.

The perfect basic flat with excellent construction. Quality craftsmanship. Quite comfy for no arch support. Slightly small- I will be exchanging for 1/2 size larger.

I regret not catching the reviews telling me to order 1/2 a size larger- love the feel and quality, but will exchange for a larger size and update!

I contemplated buying these shoes for about two years before I dared to order. I hesitated because of the reviews in relation to the sizing (mixed and confusing) and because I live in Ireland, so returning them would be a complicated and expensive thing to arrange. In the end I just followed th site's advice on buying half size up. I wear 7, bought a 7.5 and they fit. Yes, they look like they will strech in time, but a 7 would have not fit lenghtwise, so in the end they would have looked ugly. I like the desing, it is difficult to get nice ballet flats that don't shoe part of the toes. Will definetely get more in different colours.

LOVED these shoes and so wanted them to work. The leather is nice and soft which I need but the 8 was too small and the 8.5 was too big. I know it said on the review that they will stretch but my toe was wanting to come through and I didn't know how they could stretch that much. I would have given it a whirl however there was ZERO cushion on the sole. If only they could do exactly the same shoe but with more padding it could be the perfect shoe! I tried the the one that had a little bit of a padding (and small wedge) but it didn't come in the soft leather and was too stiff. I was so bummed that I had to return.

I really love these shoes, so much that I just ordered a second pair. My feet are pretty much a true 9, they are somewhat narrow. I ordered a 9 despite the advice to size up because I remember I had a pair of French Soles in high school and they stretched out so much they would fall off my feet. I'm so glad I got my actual size and didn't size up-- after a day or two of wearing them around the house with thin socks to break them in, they fit *perfectly*. I'm on my feet all day for work, and although these don't have any arch support they are surprisingly comfortable. They are classic and stylish looking and I like that they don't show any "toe cleavage" (I have really long toes and hate the way that looks). I have only had the first pair for a few weeks so I am hoping they hold up well in the long run. They do look nicely made.

Well these fit better but still small. Cute....However. The right shoe looked like different leather than the left....was wrinkly and came up higher on my foot. Weird.
