Customer Reviews French Sole Sloop

I have the Sloop in several colors. I wear them with straight leg jeans and khakis in the winter and short shorts in the summer. My favorite shoe. Very Audrey/Bardot. Very pricey for what they are but I think that they are special so I pay it. No support but they look terrific and very French, almost like walking barefoot.

I purchased these shoes in an 8 1/2 that fit me but were scuffed up so these were the replacement pair. I assumed they would fit but when I put them on they were really small. Possibly mislabeled size? I normally wear an 8 so these shoes do run really small.

Great flats! I own other pairs of French Sole Sloops. These have better soles and a separate heel piece - all improvements. The bronze color is beautiful and goes with everything. As with all French Sole Sloops, be sure to order a size up from your regular size. I wear an 8.5 and in these shoes I wear a 9.

I bought the red Sloop two sizes larger and absolutely adore them. I have the brown and salmon and am waiting for the black. It is my absolute favorite shoe but it does run small and in my opinion none of them fit exactly the same.

Love these shoes. Great to slip into and they felt true to my normal size. Of course, Zappos had them on my doorstep within 36 hours of receiving my order. Love Zappos and these shoes!

Attractive shoes, but they (as is true of all French Sole shoes, I find) run one-half to a full size small. They definitely run a full size small in width. As for peoples' complaints that these shoes lack support, I'm unsure what they expect from a regular ballet flat. That said, I do wish that all ballet flats had more arch support and thicker soles.

I love these shoes. I've bought 4 pairs and will buy more I'm sure. These are not heavy duty support, just wonderful comfort. Get a half size larger.

Love these flats! I adore all of the colors and prints and I currently have 2 pairs of the leopard print. I get compliments on them all the time. The suede upper and lining are so nice and you can wear these straight out of the box without getting any blisters like with many other ballet flats. I'll always have a pair of these in my closet. I'm eyeing those zebra stripe ones. Fit is true to size.

Love these! The toe bit of the shoe is a tad stiff, but the back half is super soft. I like that I am able to wear a ballet style sock with these and they don't shoe, at all! Not sure about the comfort part yet, I haven't worn them for an extended amount of time. So, I'm not sure how they would be on long walks. Overall, a really nice shoe!

I'm the person with sensitive feet who prefers ugly comfort over pretty pain. These shoes are perfect right from the box, and pretty! How is this possible? I love these little shoes. They feel like my slippers. I usually wear Birkenstock shoes or Merrell slides, usually a 7 1/2 or 8 and ordered the 8s. They fit well. If they stretch, guess I'd add an insole? I have skinny feet, and these shoes look fantastic. Got the metallic bronze, and will now order the black and maybe more. What a great, feminine shoe for feet that can't tolerate shoes. If you'd rather walk barefoot or in slippers, these are the shoes.

I have several pairs of these flats, and they are my go-to shoes for skinny pants - very "Audrey." I always buy a half size larger.

This is my second pair - really the third pair, if I count the denim blue pair. Love how comfy and flexible these shoes are. Don't be fooled by lookalikes.

Actually, I have on a pair of the FSS right now. I love the looks of them, so bought the above and two other colors. They are comfortable but run a bit small in the length. The width is exactly right. I'd buy them again but maybe in a half size larger.

Excellent shoe. They are seriously like slippers. I don't want to take them off. Not sure how well they will stand up over time but I decided to finally treat myself to very comfortable shoes!

They feel like an actual ballet slipper. The arch support is about as much as a ballet slipper too, so I wouldn't recommend this as a trekking shoe; but overall, it is VERY comfortable.

Received these shoes and thought they looked alittle thin and may be uncomfortable; however my observations were completely wrong. These are fantastic shoes and quite comfortable. I wear them with everything and have even ordered more colors!

I love the French Sole Sloop. So much so, I also have the Zebra stripe and the leopard spots. I still need the blue and brown suede. The leopard felt smaller than the zebra. Otherwise, they're great!

Love these. I initially ordered them in my normal size 10 and they were too small, ordered them in an 11 and they are perfect! If you have slightly wider feet, go a size up. Like wearing fancy slippers! Go Zappos!

I bought these in black croco. Needed a new pair of plain black flats to wear to work. I normally wear an 8½ in flats like these, but ordered the 9 and was very happy I did. The 8½ would have been too short. I have narrow feet and these are definitely not narrow, but not too wide that it's a problem. The shoe goes with everything. Took a couple wearings to break in, but now comfy. They seem like they'll last a long time. I'll probably end up ordering other colors in this style.

I have been looking for a good pair of flats and I finally found them. Not only adorable, but really comfortable, and the front covers your toes - unlike many flats out there these days. The color was a much softer red than it looked like online, which I like much better. I am very happy with these shoes.

Very comfortable-they have just the right amount of cushion and support. As a teacher, I am happiest when I have no foot awareness.

Soft as butter and so comfortable. They have stretched a little on the sides but still fit perfectly.
