Good shoe - I really like these shoes. They were a little tight at first, but they actually stretched out a little bit. Great shoe to wear with jeans, I have gotten many compliments. I haven't had a pair of Asics in years, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Good sturdy shoe - I wore them for 2 full days at Disney World, and my feet felt fine. This was my first real wearing of the shoes - no break-in time needed...NICE!!! Plus they look great with jeans (I have the birch/brown color combo).

My special needs foot has found martial art shoe - This shoe was narrower than other martial art shoes I have tried (Adidas). I have a narrow foot and this shoe is on the narrow side for a medium width. For me the best feature is that this shoe has more toe room, from the sole to the top of the toe area. Other martial art shoes pinch my toes. I also need good arch support. This shoe also has more arch support than other martial art shoes I have tried. With other shoes I needed to add inserts to get additional support. The Budokan does have a thicker sole than other martial art shoes I have seen. This may or may not be a feature you would want.
