Very nice sandal, however, the sizing is extremely accurate. Not normally a bad thing, however, since they only come in full sizes and not halves, I had issues with them being either too large or too small. If your shoe size doesn't end in .5, these are fantastic sandals.

First let me say that I like these sandals. I find them to be very stylish, and, for the most part, comfortable. I have a very high arch, and the top strap created two sensitive pressure points - first on the left foot, then the right. The solution turned out to be getting drenched in a rain storm. The sandals got soaked and stretched. I've worn them every day since. Unless you have a high arch, I don't think any of this will be an issue for you.

I ordered these one size larger as previous reviews had recommended, but they were too big. So I went with my actual size and they fit perfectly. Overall, the Hiapo is extremely comfortable. The only disappointment is, after two weeks, the front of both slippers has a 1 inch tear where the top and bottom leather pieces meet. I'm hoping the holes don't get much larger, but it won't stop me from ordering OluKai products.

Very pleased. Found they ran generally true to my tennis shoe size. Immediately comfortable, they required no break in. Best flip flops I've ever had (most expensive too).

Good enough - Looking for a replacement for my Cole Haan flips, which had a good look to them for occasions dressier than the beach. The Cole Haans had a style to them, and while these were certainly nicer than your average flip, they didn't have quite the panache. I guess I was expecting too much, but the price was pretty much the same so I don't think I was. Definitely more comfortable than the Cole Haan, and seems to be more durable, though time will tell. I do have to ding OluKai on the sizing. I mean what were they thinking? Good thing I read the reviews on this site. I wear a size 10, and there was no way in hell that would have fit me. The 11 is fine, so unless you want to send these back, you *must* order a size larger.

Nice looking. Appears to be well made. Very comfortable. I would purchase another pair.

I love these flip flops except for one problem I have encountered. The black sole pads on the bottom of the shoe in the heel have worn down prematurely. They are now almost flat and flush with the leather sole after only two months of wear. I am admittedly a bit of a foot dragger but this should not happen with a flip flop at this price.

Comfortable, Looks Nice - Hiapos are comfortable and nice, but for what you are paying, they should be. Only downside is that the darker shoes bled onto my feet and stained them dark brown on the soles. Otherwise the shoes are good.

Well-made, pricey flip-flop - As a person with flat feet, the built-up arch is almost "too much" for me, but the padding of the footbed is very cozy. Was also relieved to find the toe-strap quite comfortable despite being leather. Others I've tried have been irritating. I wish, especially in the larger sizes, that these were wider. This site states 'D Medium.' I've always associated 'D' with wide, not medium, which is in my view a 'B' or the like. Based on other’s reviews (thanks!), I ordered a full size larger and I'm glad I did.

Hiapo - OluKais run small and unfortunately do not come in half sizes. However, they look great and are comfortable and appear well made.

Nice looking and comfortable sandal. Had to send the first pair back because the adhesive was pulling apart where the upper meets the sole. Zappos made the exchange process easy, they sent a new pair overnight. Haven't had any issues with the new ones.

Female's Opinion - Much better than Rainbows – I have very wide, duck feet. So when shopping for flip-flops, I nearly always head for the men's section. These flip-flops are simply superb! I normally wear a 7.5-8 in Women's sizes and I bought these in a Men's 8. They fit the bed of my foot perfectly, the arch support is fantastic. I bought these to replace my Rainbows (which hurt my feet after an hours wear) and they're a huge improvement. My only gripe is the thick strap hurts whenever I move forwards. I think the straps are designed to be more "pushed back" than I'm used to. I'm trying to speed in the break-in period by wetting the underside of the strap, which makes a huge difference comfort wise. Great shoe! I can see these lasting me a long time. My Rainbows lasted 4 years!

Great shoe for the value. Only negative is the shoe is not water resistant. I wear a 10 and ordered an 11...fit perfect.

I only give it 4 stars overall because of the cost. Great fit, good workmanship. Can walk in all day.

Just got 'em... first impressions - First thing, these sandals are notorious for being undersized. I'm between a 9 1/2 and a 10 (I've never worn a shoe/sandal above 10). I had to return the 10s and order an 11. The 11 fits perfect... a half inch gap remains from the back of the sandal to the rear of my heel. I believe this is because the toe "thong" design is pushed back further than most thong sandals I have owned. Initial impression anyway. Second, if you have flat feet that do not conform well, or feel comfortable with, significant arch support; this sandal may not be for you. In my case, my right foot is more natural (the sandal feels great!), however my left foot is more flat (there is a lot of pressure that I "hope" can be worked out with break in). For those of you who can not wear Keens for this reason (sadly), be aware that the arch support will apply some pressure--though it is more of a minor annoyance than the discomfort I/you may have with Keens. My hope that this sandal will mold with my natural arch over a short period of time may be too optimistic (again, this only applies to my mutant "left" foot). However, you can't deny how cool these sandals look and the otherwise positive reviews on this site (and others). I had to give them a shot. I'll report back if the comfort issue is resolved... in which case I will boost the score to a perfect 5.

Smart flip flop - I extended my flip flop repertoire with this pair! I only had a pair of adidas flip flops and I think I needed to go up market a bit. The swirl design on the upper sole of the shoe is a classy touch. On my right foot I found after a morning walking round the city the strap on the top digging in thou (I have atypical shaped foot thou - a 14) in summary I would recommend.

This flips flops looks great. The leather is top quality but the comfort even after 2 weeks is not so good because of the very hard strap. The sizing is curious, in shoes my usual size is 9.5 in flip flops the size vary from 9 to 10 but with this OluKai the 10 is to small! And the 11 to width so definitely not a sandal for everyone.

Something about this sandal makes it very uncomfortable for my feet. It seems the sole has very little cushioning. I have worn the product for a few hours now and will not wear it any longer. Very uncomfortable. I have many other models of the OluKai sandal line and love them all, but not this one.

Olukai has changed the way the leather that wraps around the toe post is sewn, which would be less of a problem if they aligned the seam correctly. Unfortunately, Only one of the four flip flops I’ve received was in proper alignment. Disappointed in the design change, and even more so by the poor quality control.

Did not like the color

The sandals looked attractive, as advertised, and initially appeared comfortable; however, with minimal, minimal use, the seam above the toe thong dug into the top of my foot, bilaterally, and consequently I've sent them back, reluctantly. I really wanted to like them, but they felt like the sandal equivalent of Steve Martin's Cruel Shoes...

Stitching got caught on something and is starting to unravel after one month. I love OluKai just not this flip, design flaw with single stitching. I have two other pairs: Moko and Ohana and they're both 5 stars.

Bought these for my son's wedding in San Diego. Took a long time to get comfortable and I wear flip flops year round. Very comfy after awhile.. Low overall score because I thought they were over-priced for a rubber sole with a leather strap.

I've had these for two months now. I suppose that I had really high expectations because of all the glowing reviews. They had a really long break-in period for me; probably six weeks. I was really close to sending them back. Many people say that these are by far the most comfortable pair of flip-flops that they have ever had, but not for me. I have some all leather Timberland Smart-Comfort Zoned Chassis flip-flops that are far superior. The problem for me is that they do not make that model anymore. With these Hiapos, the left shoe was killing me the first two weeks, then the strap separated from the shoe slightly, and it has been improving since then.
