I’ve been a Keen Shoe Fan for years; the Targhee model has worked well for me, in the past for my “All Around Outdoor Shoe”! Lots of solid support, excellent souls, so good traction. I have always ordered and purchased a women’s shoe in the past. This time around the toe box was much to tight, so I returned the women’s style & ordered a men’s. That switch worked out perfect for me! PHopefully Keen will have a look at their production model and make sure the “toe box on the women’s is returned to the wider design.” You need the extra space for heavier hiking /winter socks! They are a well made shoe, if taken care of, will last for years! shoe in the past

These were for my brother who's very fussy about his shoes. He said the fit was great and they gave him good support considering he stands a lot in his job.

I like that they have a nice, wide toe box. I don’t like that the laces are hard to keep from coming undone.

I used to love Keen - it was my only hiking boot and I’d never consider switching. I’ve owned 5 pairs in a row and I have to say that I’m never buying them again. In the past few years I’ve noticed that the tread was separating from the bottom of the shoe. It starts with the bits that wrap around the shoe and gradually includes the bottom rubber. With the first pair, I thought it was a fluke and/or age/wear so I got another new pair. Within 3 months the same thing started happening. I contacted the company and they told me this happens sometimes… to purchase some barge cement and make the repair. Having loved Keen, I did just that. As expected, the repair didn’t hold. I went through an entire tube of the cement on both boots and lo and behold, I couldn’t return/exchange them. I’m not taking another chance. I’m guessing they’ve let quality slip so I’ll move to another brand.

The shoes seem fine, but there is a problem with the tongue. It won't fit under the shoe sides and becomes quite unccomfortable after about 10 minutes. I am returning them.

I appreciate you stocking Keen in wide sizes. The fit is fine.

I'm desperate for anything that I can wear around my bunion for a reasonable part of a day. These give me five hours. Aces.

The shoe fit like a glove out of the box. Keen is my go to due to the wider forefoot. Rugged and durable.

Fit is good. Accurate for a 15. The quality of the shoes is declining from past pairs I have bought - I had the tread/grip on the sides of the shoes come loose and start flopping around, the the seams near the front tore so the shoes did not stay waterproof/resistant for long. They are comforatble, great for hiking or walking, but they don't hold up like earlier pairs. Oh and the shoelaces must be coated with teflon because getting them to stay tied for the length of a walk takes a miracle worker!

I wear a 10.5 and these were an 11... length fit perfectly (as if they were a 10.5). Walked around the house for a few minutes and my feet were numb. Width was so tight, even with the laces opened. I don't understand, I've got a pair of Voyagers and Targhee III mid boots, both in 10.5, that I love and now I can't find anything that fits from Keen. Getting a lil frustrated...

Returning these altho' I REALLY wanted them to work. I wanted Keens in something other than earth tones. I've been wearing a pair of Voyagers for years and was hoping for a similar fit. Nice looking but my toe bumped the toebox and they just felt too narrow.

This is the fist time a pair a keens were to small. I thought I could just wear them and eventually they would be ok. Did not happen. Very surprised.

I thought it would be hard to find a shoe for my witdth, but these worked out perfectly. I used a width sizing chart and measured with a tape measure to order the correct size. It worked!

I have big feet. I like the width of the shoes, but the length seems a little to short, like they are one size too small. The ends touch my big toe but don’t rub or anything. I have no discomfort, just a “not right” feeling at my big toes.

Keen used to be a high-quality shoemaker, but their quality control has gone dramatically downhill over the last several years. For shoes that cost over $150, I expected better than this. The outside edge of the left shoe showed obvious gapping in its trim area, where none existed on the right shoe. I observed similar defects on some of the Keen’s I bought in this order. Also, the forefoot area is a good 1/4” narrower than previous versions of this model. That may not seem like much, but after walking around on concrete floors for 10 hours a day, as your feet swell, even slightly, you may find that it matters quite a bit. I rated them as “narrower” in width, for that reason. I also found this same narrowing of the forefoot area on all six pairs of the various Keen’s I ordered, so if you want a nice, roomy toe box, I suggest you look elsewhere.

This is my third pair and unfortunately they were defective. The left boot is fine, but the right one's toe was not sewed together well and there is a lump of cloth that rubs against my toe and is uncomfortable.

This shoe runs a bit on the short side. I wear a 10 1/2 in all other shoes and previous Targhee II was a 10 1/2 and a little short. Bought a size 11 this time and it is perfect. Great shoe!

5 months to the date with very moderate use. Walking on sidewalks and indoors and the sole is falling off. How would these ever stand up to actual hiking?

Targhee II is a sturdy, handsome shoe. I wish I could love it. Unfortunately the EE I ordered was not wide enough for my feet. I could have tolerated that, but there was another problem: the insole of the left shoe was bumpy and hurt my feet. The right shoe was fine. I guess it is some kind of manufacturing or quality control flaw. I would have kept the shoe with the hope that they would stretch, but I couldn't overcome the discomfort in the left shoe. Sorry I can't keep them!

Great shoe. Runs a half size smaller than Merrells.

This is third or fourth pair of Targhee IIs. Most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

Warm, waterproof, durable and comfortable from day one!

The Targee II always work well for me, if I was young again the Sling Backed Heels might had worked to, but this is just another journey, thank you at Zappos for your conscious professionalism, by the way, you offered the heels! L, L & L
