I bought these boots just as I was about to fulfill a professional obligation in the UK. In that I had not yet worn the boots, my plan was to bring along an additional pair of shoes for comfort. As it turned out, my luggage could not accommodate the shoes, so I took a deep breath and hoped for the best. Well my hotel was 1½ miles from the training site, uphill along cobbled stone streets. The boots were like walking in heaven from the start! Over three miles a day in utmost comfort and support. An additional perk is that they can easily be resoled and re-heeled. I absolutely love these boots. They are the utmost best!

Worth Every Penny… I have been searching for quite some time for replacement boots (for my Peter Kaiser-ankle boots purchased 7 yrs ago and re-soled 3 times)! At first I was concerned about the toe area as it looks narrow in the picture and it looked a little too rounded, but I read all the reviews and decided to try them anyway - and I am so glad I did! Right out of the box these boots were flawless, soft leather, excellent stitching, quality zipper, perfect heel height, light neoprene like material in the boot, etc. They fit my foot like a glove, plenty of room to wiggle my toes, and a snug fit on my heel and ankle - perfect. They are not dressy boots, but still look great with basic slacks or jeans... and did I mention how comfortable they are?! I have a feeling that I will be wearing these everyday. Worth every penny!

Nice but boring and kind of manly looking. Could not wear with anything other than jeans; really look like more of a men's boot and are less warm than all my other La Canadienne boots. Sizing seems accurate.

La Canadienne's Perla - These boots are so comfortable and fit perfectly. I have bunions and hammertoes and it's very difficult finding comfortable shoes and boots. I was afraid that the rounded toe would be to narrow and put stress on my bunions and would have liked a squared toe boot but these are very comfy.

Love, love, love these boots. They have quickly become my favorite shoes. They fit great, look great, and are so comfortable. I just ordered another pair of La Canadienne boots and can't wait for them to arrive!

Great boots - comfortable, sleek, beautiful leather, classic style. Look good with jeans, pants, trouser suits.

Not loving these boots. The ankles are very tight. Even though there is that extra elastic still too tight so unfortunately will be going back. Need a very skinny leg for these.

These boots are great looking, well made, really comfortable, and the fit is great too. I have worn them with jeans and I think they will go nicely with slacks too. I will definitely buy the La Canadienne brand again.

Great everyday short boots - Excellent fit and very comfortable. I ordered several pairs of long boots and all of them fit well except in the heel which seemed a bit narrow. A have what i would call average heels as I have never experienced this issue before. A friend who has the boots I ordered said they fit perfectly but she does have narrow heels which are often an issue for her. I was really happy these boots fit me so well and recommend them to anyone who wants an everyday boot that works with everything.

Beautiful - The leather on this shoe is gorgeous. It is totally worth the price. Unfortunately, however, my calves were too big for the shaft -- which is unusual for a low-rise boot. My calves are probably bigger than average (I'm a long-distance runner/soccer player), so if you have narrower calves you'll probably love this boot!

Great everyday boot - Very sturdy and comfortable everyday boot. Not too chic, but very warm and waterproof, which is terrific for commuting--I have a train ride and a long walk. This boot is good for cold waits on the train platform.

Very hard if not almost impossible to get on because of tightness in arch area. Also very tight around ankle causing it to rub against skin. I got both W and WW to try for width. Both tend to run tighter than should. I sent back.

I tried a square toe knee-high style and they fit well-but were too wide at the top. This and other La Canadienne round toe styles are too short! Shouldn't they be a bit longer to accommodate the narrow front?

I have a very wide foot and found that the wide (W) width shoe didn't fully accommodate my foot. Beautiful and comfortable boot. Love that it is waterproof as well.

These boots rock. They were extremely comfortable, from the first moment I put them on, and are obviously made of quality materials. I wore them all day today (first time wearing them) with thin smartwool socks and my feet were toasty and happy, not sweaty and feeling like I was breaking in a new pair of boots. I'm so happy with these and would highly recommend them. Very stylish, too. Will wear with jeans and skirts.

Versatile, comfortable casual boot - I have worn these boots almost every day since I got them. They are extremely comfortable and I can wear them with my orthotics. They look very cute with jeans and pants.

Great boot! I saw this company in a Vail, CO shoe store and loved the look of its merchandise. I went to Zappos when we got home and ordered the boot. I love everything about it! Glad I waited to get home to see the ENTIRE line of La Canadienne.

I've worn these boots to work at least three days a week since I bought them. The look is simple and classic. The heel height is easy for walking. The leather is soft. And, they keep my feet dry in the rain. I am a size 11M and they fit with just the right amount of wiggle room at the toes and no sloppiness in the width. There's not much arch support, but I still find them very comfortable.

Not quite chic, but stylish enough and high quality - These are boots for pants/jeans, very comfortable, with a comfort you get only with quality materials and workmanship. They needed no breaking in, and are fine with normal or high-tech socks. Also important for those of us who live in slush much of the winter, they are waterproof. These boots are worth the investment, as they will undoubtedly last for many years.

Great comfortable boot - Even though I have "difficult" feet, these boots are comfortable enough to wear all day. Although I would prefer something a bit more stylish, they do look nice with pants and jeans, and I'm happy to have found a boot that I can work in all day.

These are beautiful boots of high quality leather with classic styling and I am very happy with them. Inner foot width and length are true to size and comfortable (size 7). However, I will agree with other reviewers that the upper mid-section (instep) and ankle circumference are narrow. I think (hope) these will be comfortable enough this winter for me to get a lot of wear out of them but it’s something to keep in mind when ordering.

I am between 8.5 and 9. Actually 9 most of the time. But I have a narrow heel, and a low volume foot. I ordered both sizes, and the 8.5 fit perfectly. These are beautifully constructed boots, and the waterproofing is great (I have other La Canadiennes) but I returned both because I did not like the finish of the leather. Very smooth, matte, no shine or texture to the leather. They looked almost like fake leather. For this price, they should be beautiful in addition to being practical.

Very hard to get on as the arch area very tight. Also very tight around the ankle causing boot to rub uncomfortable. Less roomy in the toe area than you would expect in a WW. I sent them back. I would expect perfect fit at this price.

These were beautiful in the picture , but too shiny in person. They also were so long for a size 10, they looked like clown shoes and were kind of big. They were well made and relatively comfortable,and I wish I loved them, but I didn't.
