My son is 6 and very active. He has mild cerebral palsy and needs a sturdy shoe with good arch support but also with a flexible sole. This shoe fits those criteria to to the 't'. We care more about function than looks but these shoes look like a typical sneaker. They have a very secure Velcro fastener that you can pull tight or loosen as needed. Easy on and easy off (very important for busy parents!). Priced right and a so far are holding up well. The only warning I can offer is to order a full size down. They do run big however with Zappos quick and free shipping it's not that big of a deal.

Definitely heed the advice an order a 1/2 size smaller. Our son is a size 10 in Merrell. We ordered the 10 hoping for room to grow and there sure is. The shoes are very easy to get on and off, flexible and seemingly well made. Not a huge fan of the white outsole, but it looks better on than online.

These are highly recommend for wide footed owners! They are so easy to put on and take off which is a big plus with a four year old. I got a similar pair for my three year old. Everyone reachs for the same pair every time.

I am a big fan of this brand for kids. I trust this brand for my children's foot comfort and growth development, and of course I love that they are stylish too.

My son just loves these shoes! He is usually a barefoot kind of guy but actually chooses to wear these all the time! Wonderful quality and comfort (according to my son).

I love these shoes! They are light weight, podiatrist approved, machine washable, easy to get on and off, and they have reflective tape on the back. My daughter scuffs the tips of her toes on the ground while riding her tricycle, so after the first week, the tips are noticeably worn. But, overall I am so pleased with these shoes, I bought the next two sizes up (in different colors).

My 5 year old grandson loves red, so when I saw these shoes I had to get them for him. He put them on as soon as he saw them! The information said if the child wears a 10 regular shoe then order size 9.5. I did order 9.5 and really it just fits him with half a thumb space between his toe and the toe of the shoe so he will need a size 10 very soon. He will only get maybe 3-4 months wear. I'am glad he loves them so much.

I got this shoes for my six year old and he loves them. They are very soft and comfortable. I read the other reviews before getting them and I got half size smaller than the one he normally wears since many people said that the shoe runs big and it was perfect. This are by far the best shoes that I have bought for him.

Great shoe overall - A bit clunky but easy for my son to put on by himself and they wash and wear very well. This is our 2nd pair of Tsukihoshi shoes and we will continue to buy them. Our only problem with them is the width - they tend to run pretty wide and my son has narrow feet. Otherwise, we love them.

The shoes look good, are wide enough, but just after 1 week of wear both shoes wore off to the point that soon will be holes! Granted, that's not what I expected for 60$ shoes!

I was thoroughly disappointed with these shoes. I ordered these shoes based on the excellent reviews but after one week the shoes began to come apart. The bottom has detached and the tongue is shredded. I also bought a pair for my daughter-after three weeks she can no longer wear them. The bottom is coming apart and she has tripped several times from it. I will never buy another Tsukihoshi shoe and will stick to Geox.

I bought these shoes for my 3 year old. He was having a hard time putting on his own shoes and I had heard that these shoes would be easier for him. And what a success! He not only can put his shoes on himself now, but he insists! And, the shoes are fully washable which is a bonus.

These have been the best sneakers we've owned. Lightweight, great support, easy on/off. My son was a bit clumsy and these shoes were great because they soles don't stick out and aren't extra thick or heavy. I'm onto my second pair of Tsukihoshis. If they do nearly as well, I'll be a lifetime loyalist!

These are the best sneakers that you could purchase for a kid! This is the second shoe same style our son has had. There is no need to worry about too narrow or too wide. The Velcro straps adjust to any size feet - except super narrow feet, I am guessing. My kid loves these shoes too must be the colors/patterns/Velcro straps.

My son has grown up with these from size 5 to 10 - 6 pairs. They are the best! Durable easy velcro, very high quality fit and finish.

Excellent shoe. Bought it for my 4 year old son. It's very easy for him to put on, the shoe is light and looks fantastic of course. Beware to order at least an 1/2 size smaller than what you need. My son is just about a size 10. I ordered a 9 1/2 (thank you Zappos for the hint) and it fits perfectly - with a little room to grow. The size 10 would have been way to big for him. Overall, am very happy with these shoes as a transition from Summer to Fall in the Boston climate.

These are my favorite kid shoes. Light and washable. My son is on his fourth pair and he loves them too!

These sneakers are great! This is the second pair I've purchased for my 2 year old. His feet are wide and there is a lot of room for him. They are cool looking and easy to wash - just pop them in the washing machine and they come out looking like new. They are lightweight and easy on, easy off. I absolutely love these kicks.

My 2 year old son has extremely wide feet. These were a lifesaver! I will order many more pairs after this. Order half a size down.

These shoes are great for my three year old son. They are very comfortable, durable, and stylish. They do run large so be sure to order them at least half a size smaller than the usual size.

This has been a great shoe for my 5 year old son. It's extremely comfortable and cool. He has hot feet and would only wear Crocs until we found this shoe. In addition to the mesh panels, the shoe is slightly wide across the balls of the foot and that also seem to keep him cooler than a narrower shoe. The Velcro strap makes it easy to take on and off. The inserts come out easily but don't slip around when you put them back in. It's a shoe you can easily wash and dry in the machine without breaking down the shoe structure. We are big fans of this shoe!

My first experience with Zappos has been outstanding. We originally bought these sneakers 2 years ago in a retail shop in Boston and I was thrilled to find them on Zappos. My original order was for the wrong size but customer service was able to change that within an hour, and provide free overnight shipping. I will continue to shop at Zappos. My entire experience was first rate. These sneakers last forever. My now five year old grandson is proof of that.

This is the fourth pair of Tsukihoshi shoes (2nd of this model) my son has owned, and I highly doubt him going back to other brands. They are super lightweight, easy to put on and take off, and you can throw them in the washing machine! Also, his feet are really wide, and these shoes fit with absolutely no pinching or struggling to get on.
