Donald J Pliner Joist - Another beautifully constructed, comfortable and lovely boot in Donald J Pliner's Western Couture line. I have every one of his previous Justy and Joya ankle cowboy boots. They are perfection.

Snappy boots - This boot rocks. It is very well made, and looks pretty darn cool with jeans. Quite ornate, so pairs best with something neutral, like a classic white blouse with French cuffs and nice fabric.

Gorgeous boot, (but)... As others have written, this boot is incredibly gorgeous, but it took me over a year to be able to put them on! My heel is obviously WAY too large for these boots and even with a shoe horn, I couldn't get them on (yea, sounds hard to believe even to me!) but finally, this morning (after much leather stretching) ironically enough, I tried again and they went on. I do wish the style was a smidgen different, for folks who have difficulty getting the boot on the foot. My arches are extremely high and my heel "appears" large - once on, however, they fit perfect and the look, as everyone else has noted, is to die for (the reason I kept them and tried for over a year to get them on!! I knew the size was correct - I just couldn't them past my heel). The tan oilskin ones are very natural looking and will go with most everything in my winter wardrobe. Beautiful!!

Donald J Pliner Joist - expresso nappa/gator - I usually wear a size 7.5 US, but I find I wear a size 8 US in this boot. (The 7.5 was a bit too tight.) I bought a Dr. Scholl’s insert to prevent my foot from sliding forward & it works rather well. I wish the soles weren't so hard though, it feels like I need shock absorbers on them to make it easier on my knees when I walk. However, they're great & I get numerous compliments whenever I wear them. Now I only wish I could find a bootie like this in a tan brushed leather.

These boots rock! I bought these boots for the look! They are absolutely beautiful. Even though they are red velour, they have leather lining inside which allows the boot to breathe. I bought these to wear in the winter with a totally black outfit... I will keep these!

Joist - Very cute shoe, but unlike the other reviewers, I found this shoe to be very uncomfortable and difficult to walk in. I have a narrow foot with a high arch, perhaps that is the problem. I am returning these. Would like to add that Zappos has the best shoe selection and service.
