I love the leather and the color. I can wear them all day and enjoy wearing them. There is one little raised hard spot I can feel with my left big toe but it doesn't seem to bother me as it doesn't hurt or make my toe sore. They are a tad bit slick since they are leather soles, but that's the same with all leather soles. They go very well with my boot cut jeans and also my longer dress pants.

Very good boot. I wore my first pair for 25 years. New soles and heels several times.

Great Boots, I haven't had a a pair of ropers in a long time, these boots are really nice looking, and can double as a dress boot or casual, just make sure that you get these wide enough to fit your feet, E 2E or EEE as boots tend to be narrow , what good is a boot if it's too tight , I'm gonna enjoy these to the fullest "Hey Let's go Dancing"

These are not the first Justin Ropers that I have owned but the first was 30 years ago and have had no reason to purchase others until now. I really like the kipskin and how pliable the leather is while holding its shape and good looks. My only regret is that I have not found a kipskin in a color other than black. I would get them in a minute! I used black polish right away which covered the white threads around the sole and, also, made the boot look even sharper.

I have been wearing this same model Justin boot for over 50 years the last ones over 20 years with one set of new soles and heels. The leather was start starting to crack. So time for new ones. I ordered them on Friday and got them on Saturday. The quality and fit is what I expected. They are very well done. They do need a break in period and always have. But after that they are pure comfort and good looks.

This was the first time I ordered shoes (my wife is a longtime customer from Zappos) without trying them on. Naturally I was skeptical at first. But what a great surprise, the boots look great but more important (at least for a guy) they feel awesome. Wore them 8 hours straight without any discomfort, with and size totally correct

This is a great boot my only problem with it is that when I want to take them off they are really difficult to pull off resulting in arm strains so I usually have to use my feet to pull them off which is tricky but obviously much easier on my arms I might want to think about making the inside of the boot moist for easy on and off.

The boots arrived on time and were comfortable right out of the box. The boots felt so good wearing them around the house I decided to take a walk outside, I walked out side 1.5 miles and had no pinches, rubs or any pain of any kind. Amazing boots.

Very pleased with this purchase. These boots are well made and just might be the most comfortable shoes I own. I get many compliments when wearing them. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first pair of Justin boots and they're starting to wear so I'm looking for a pair to wear that's a little less beaten up for those more "dressy" casual nights. I have fallen in love with these boots. The leather is supple yet tough, the styling couldn't be better and they're super comfortable. I can't tell you how many compliments I've received from women about these boots. They're a perfect fit with jeans (Levis 514s for me). As I live in the Pacific northwest they're not suitable for the wet weather because of the leather soles, however, on dry days, they're my go to boot no questions asked. I'll get another pair of these and find a pair with rubber soles for the wet days.

I have been wanting some roper boots for sometime, but I was hesitant to order boots without trying them on. But I read all the reviews on these boots and I decided to go ahead and give it a try because Zappos' service is so great and makes returns easy if the size is not right. The boots came really fast and I really like them. I need wide shoes or boots and was drawn to these Justins because they were available in a EEE width. Some other reviewers stated that they felt the boots ran half a size small, so I ordered half a size larger than I probably should have and they are a little big for me. The width is great. I decided to keep them as the extra room in the boot is better for me than having them too tight. They go on and off easily and are comfortable on my feet. I really have not needed any break-in period, I just put them on and started wearing them. They are getting more flexible as I wear them and feel good. The quality of the boots seems to be very good and I have had good experience with Justin boots in the past. The boots in black look good for casual or dress wear. I was also pleased with the price as western boots can be very expensive. I feel they are a very good value and should last me for years to come.

Just what I was looking for! These are a plain toe, black Wellington/roper style boot. The fit and finish were excellent.

My husband loves these boots and was happy to find them in his size. He wore a version of these years ago and remembered how good they felt. I believe these will be the same way.

The leather is soft and shines well, nice workmanship. nice looking heels and soles.

These boots appear to be well made of good quality materials. They run slightly large, but are about 1/16 shorter in the toe than the last ones I bought.

The Wellingtons arrived quickly and very well packaged. They fit very well after the excellent vetting Zappos provided. After some breaking-in and leather prep the boots will be as comfortable as my last pair.

More narrow than a regular EEE, but expected from a cowboy boot.

Hard to find a woman's roper so I ordered a man size 7, I normally wear a 8.5. Length is fine, these Justin's run a tad narrow. The leather is okay for the price. I like round toes for boots so it seems the styles are limited. I have a 15 inch calf and these fit snug.We

Boot fits true to size and gets compliments on the style and price. The only complaint I have is that the leather sole is very slick with little traction. I've tried roughing it up but it goes right back in very little time. Just be aware as it is a problem that won't show itself until you've put too much wear on them to return.

Previous reviews indicated that I should have ordered a half size larger but oddly enough when I was able to get them on, the toe box seemed quite long as if they would have fit a size 11 or 11 1/2. Because of this I needed to return them. Additionally, the leather was not as nice of a quality leather as I would have preferred. Would look to getting Frye boots next time around.

Yes, these are a dress boot. But there is nothing wrong with making a QUALITY dress boot. While they had a nice sole to them, the boot leather felt flimsy and cheap. I really felt like the boot was wearing me for support. They were overly plain. The boot was also snug on the calf compared to how my Ariat's fit. I love my Justin lace up workboots but I've been very unimpressed by any the two pairs of cowboy boots I've bought from them.

The boots are nice looking but the leather is quite stiff. Is taking a while to "break in" this pair. The leather was better quality on my old Justin Ropers which also had leather soles.

Something terribly wrong with this boot. Some part of leather is deformed and the fold causes painful blister across top of metatarsals.

Size and width were fine, but the upper foot stitching was too narrow. I couldn't get my foot into the left boot. (Right boot was tight, but OK.) I have owned the same boots for 4 years and wear them almost every day. Felt like slippers from day-one. So, I decided to order a replacement pair. Quality control has obviously declined.
