Great all-around bag - This bag is well put together and I use it for everything. There are a few too many straps, but the bag is solid, lots of pockets, and plenty of space for your stuff.

Good Quality - This is a good quality bag I bought for my son's school books. He liked it so well, he also takes it on hikes.

There's lots of space inside the bag for my books, laptop, iPad, and one large notebook. The shoulder straps could be a little more comfortable - they tend to rub against my arms in a bad way while I walk, but other than that, it's a great bag.

It's great! I love the color and it will definitely hold all of my stuff. My only problem with it is how tall it is. I am 5’2” so the bag looks really big on my back and the bag itself stretches the entire length of my back.

I ordered the camouflage one for a week long summer trip to California. I was able to fit a weeks worth of clothes, etc. inside plus a beach towel. (Keep in mind summer clothes are much smaller and thinner than winter clothes, so I wouldn't be able to fit as much in the winter). But the backpack worked out perfectly for my trip. There are lots of good pockets, etc. and little straps to grab onto all over the pack. It's pretty comfortable. There are only two things about it that make me unhappy. One - I walked for about 15 minutes in pouring rain with this pack and everything inside got soaked. This doesn't make the pack very practical for backpacking trips, camping trips, or any extended period of walking outdoors in case of precipitation. Two - the seams on the shoulder straps where they attach to the pack are visible, they look strained already and I've only used this pack for a one week trip, and a couple of single days back at home. I'm worried about how long the straps on the pack will last. I suppose it was worth the money for what it is. I really like it, but it's definitely not perfect or nearly up to par with what you expect from North Face.

The item looks great and is positively huge. I especially like the all-over woodland camo and the matching accent colors. However, two things would keep me from recommending North Face bags, this one in particular. First of all, the material is simply polyester, without any backing or coating. While I never had a chance to use it in the rain, etc., I have a feeling everything inside the bag would've gotten completely wet. And that leads me to my second concern. A week after normal use (my Macbook and a few notepads and pencils), the shoulder strap tore when I tried to lift it off the chair to put it on my back. Not a complete tear, but enough to shake my confidence in the brand, and not want to trust my Macbook to it. I will say this may be a fluke defect. The bag was super comfortable, and looked great. As usual, however, excellent Zappos service saved the day. After one phone call, I was issued an apology (unnecessary, but nice to hear) and was given a full refund on the spot. In conclusion: Will I buy North Face bags again? Probably not. Will I buy anything I can from Zappos? YES!

This is a great bag for daily use. I use mine to lug stuff around all day. The bagging in the shoulder straps could use more padding. I think Zappos sends out returns. My bag came with two pens and two pencils and an eraser.

This is a great backpack to really load up. I originally bought it for work but I only carry a Mac book air, iPad and a small wire bound notebook. The bag was too big for that. Instead I have been using it for travel and camping. It is perfect for that! I love this bag because you can load it down and it does not feel too heavy, now that I found a better use for the bag, I love it! I also love the red color. I bought The North Face Borealis for my work bag because it is smaller. After buying my first North Face bags, I can't imagine buying other brands. The quality of these bags are outstanding!

I have always grown up with L.L. Bean backpacks, but I needed a new backpack went I went to college. I went with NF Heckler and have been extremely pleased! I got the Heckler because of the laptop compartment and I still have room for four binders. It has places to keep my water bottles and good pen/pencil storage too. My only complaint is that I am a 5'6" girl and the backpack is a little larger than I expected on me. But not so big that people think that it is way too big.

What's not to love about North Face products? I had one while I was working and going to school full time and it was sturdy, roomy enough fir everything and easy on the back. So when my poor little 11 year old son's backpack had my son hunched over, I said enough! I knew that the North Face's padding would ensure that the books weren't digging into his back while providing the quality of the North Face brand. Zappos super fast shipping was just the icing on the cake. My son loves the bag because it's stylish and cool looking. I love it because my son is standing straight and his books aren't killing his back! Thanks Zappos and North Face!

This backpack is exactly what I was expecting. Plenty of little pockets to keep things organized (iPod, chargers, keys, little stuff and big stuff). The protective spot for a laptop was great, but it wasn't the main feature of the bag. I holds a lot of stuff, but it still fits under the seat of an airplane.

My son wanted this backpack for high school. He wanted a pack that would be different than others at school: last year he had an Under Armor pack and there were three other guys who had identical packs. Once one of them took his home over the weekend by mistake. He absolutely loves the colors and I already know from buying North Face for my older daughter, they wear like iron. We couldn't find this color scheme anywhere in our local stores. We are very happy with our purchase!
