Look great, comfortable but not for wide calves - I really love the look of these and they are very comfortable in the foot, but I can barely zip them up because they are narrow in the calf. I don't want to give them a bad rating because I think I have big calves. If you generally have a problem zipping up boots you probably will with these. I'm hoping they will stretch, but I definitely won't be able to wear them with jeans tucked in.

I like 'em - I usually wear a size 10 due to my long foot, but my foot is also on the narrow side. This size 9.5 is plenty long and my foot is snug- maybe too snug for thick socks. So, I'd say these boots run a bit big. I'd order a half size down if you are on the line. They do seem like they'll be great in the rain and I love the look, so I'd say I'm happy with this boot. However, my feet do ache after wearing them all day long.

Yay La Canadienne - I went to school in Maine and was always stuck in stupid boots - these are the best - they are comfortable and warm, great in snow and rain and totally cute - seriously what more could you want? I wish they were a tad higher too though...

Fionna - OK - I ordered these after much perusal on Zappos for a boot with a high enough heel (I prefer 2 3/4 to 3") and a narrow shaft for small ankles, calves. I ordered the brown suede. The material is great, and they're very warm. Haven't tested their waterproof-ness yet. The shaft is still not tight enough to wear these with a skirt, so the great fitting ankle/look of the boot is lost under pants. Sadly, they are not as supportive as I had hoped. I wore them traveling and found my feet hurting halfway through the day. I'm considering inserts but the shoe is pretty tight around my foot, so I'm not sure it will be comfortable. Heel inserts will be a must. A little disappointed in La Canadienne considering the price and the rave reviews I've read. :(

Overall, this is a beautiful boot, and of great quality. The foot in it looks very long and narrow, though, which is why I gave it 4 stars and returned it. For this kind of price, I get very picky, so I went with La Canadienne Vanity style instead; it's similar, but the toe looks a little more rounded, as opposed to long and square, as in this boot. As always with La Canadienne boots, these were very comfortable right out of the box.

Stylish and Practical - I liked this boot a lot. It is cute with jeans tucked in or even with a more casual skirt.

Fit - I have a very narrow, bony foot, and need a shoe that gives lots of room in the toe area, a long last, a cushioned sole, and a narrow heel. I put an orthodic in this boot so it would be narrow enough; however, the heel is way too wide. I have to put up with my foot sliding up and down, and there are NO comfortable boots on the market, that are both stylish, and narrow enough on the heel.

ABSOLUTELY NOT WATERPROOF- I am living in Boston. Today I had a chance to test them in very snowy weather. They are absolutely not waterproof. My socks were all wet. Water penetrates through not well-sealed corners.
