These are beautifully made shoes. I bought them for my elderly mother who is wide at the toes and narrow at the heel. Unfortunately, she is very sensitive and couldn't handle the top of her toe touching the top side of the toe box. This is about the 50th pair of shoes I tried, and if these didn't do it, I suppose nothing will...

this shoe is very well made. It does run small however. So I am sending it back for the next size up.

Great shoes. I'm 53 with back and knee trouble and these help. I'm 5'5" and 160. If you are significantly larger, you might need a thicker insole. For me, these are great for work, walking for miles, standing on hard surfaces. In fact, I'm more comfortable in these than barefoot and I'll use them as house slippers too. I have worn these until the sole is slick in some spots,nonetheless, the black leather uppers are still perfect. The elastic has not stretched. I'm a U.S. size 8 M. I usually wear a 39 in the Finn sandals. In these Newports, I wear a 40 because I wear them with Thorlo walking socks. Very comfortable. I wear these with nice pants but not skirts or shorts. They are too flat and would make me look heavy. If you want a dressier shoes with a higher heal, you might try the Finn Tallin or Galway, which are both in UK sizes. For me, as an 8, I wear a U.K. 6 with a closed toe shoe and a 5.5 in a sandal. I hope this helps you make the decision. They are expensive but worth it. Before these, I had given up and was wearing black sneakers to my job as a lawyer. These are a big improvement.

Ran small so had to send back. So disappointed, love FC shoes. Unfortunately, I'm at the upper end of the size spectrum so can't order in larger size.

Great shoe but just too small.

The shoe had excellent arch support. But the goring on the top of my foot ended up too tight and uncomfortable. Sadly, this is going back. I may size up.

This is the 2nd pair of these shoes I've bought. The 1st I bought 12 years ago and they are now my shoes I wear in the rain etc. because the leather is a bit roughed up. They are as comfortable as gym shoes and no other shoes give me as much comfort and can still be called shoes not sneakers!

I wore these all through Europe; we walked 9 miles in one day in Paris. Great comfort and stability. Excellent for going through airport security. They look very nice with a longer pant.

Perfect! Work long hours in retail and wore these right out of the box with NO breaking in time. They look professional and feel wonderful. I own several pair of FC's and they consistently amaze me....I have lower back, hip and knee problems and, believe me, these shoes do their job!

Bought this style shoe in 2008, and found them to be my go-to shoe when I needed something comfortable for all day walking, but still nice enough to wear to work. This is pair #2, fits like a glove from day one. Insole can be bought separately to maintain "like new" support.

Amazing shoe. I have walked the world with these and they are part of me. I was a dancer so I have so foot issues, but these are great. I use them for work and for travel - all the time every day. I have bought them over and over again and they are always exceptional in spite of the price - they last about 5 years with constant wear.

The Newport by Finn Comfort is my absolute favorite. The patent croc is super shiny, nicely textured and looks great with casual or work outfits. There is no break in time with these shoes and just supreme comfort no matter what activity I am doing. They do loosen up a lot overtime so if u are in between sizes then definitely go half size smaller. I have been asked several times about where I got these from and that they looked super comfortable. I will highly recommend this pair to anyone who wants comfort with a bit of style.

Beautiful made! Very comfortable! This is my third pair of Finn Comfort, if you are on your foot all day like me, this is your choice!

I want to be honest and say I did not purchase these from Zappos. I was able to get them in a local store but I wanted to provide a review. I have purchased many shoes from Zappos and have never had an issue. I gave these four stars for comfort and overall satisfaction because they fit a little snug as compared to the Finn Comfort Sandal. I went up a size for this closed shoe. I love the style. It is very low profile for a comfort shoe. I think it can be worn with a skirt and dark color tights although I will generally wear them with jeans and slacks. I am hoping they will stretch a little with wear. They fit great in the heel and my foot does not slip out of the heel. The width feels good and even accommodates bunions on both feet. I would say that the toe box is a little low so that the snugness is from that and not the length of the shoe. These would not work for you if you need a high toebox. But they are a nice looking shoe and i am hoping they will work for me.

I have been wearing Finn Comfort sandals for many years, and they are my go-to shoes for good arch support. I wanted a closed toe version and guessed that I would need to go up a size, and I was right. These are very comfortable and good looking, but a bit tight across the arch if you have a wide foot or high arch. They are very high quality so worth the money.

Order a half size larger. Ugly design, but to me, it's all about comfort, and these shoes are fit the bill (just not my foot)

I like the feel of the shoe but I wish they didn't feel quite so snug. (I even ordered a 39 rather than my usual 38.) So I'm afraid they will have to go back.

I bought a pair of these several years ago, and the quality of these is definitely inferior, from the quality of the leather, to the cushioning, and the arch support. I'm disappointed, and they're going back. As shoes, they're fine. As Finns, they're not fine, so the stars aren't quite a match to my feelings about this pair.

Well made shoe. Usually fit 9.5 but this shoe fit snug. Expected a more flexible shoe. Too stiff.

I liked the shoe. I ordered my normal 9M but it was too long and my heel slips out. I will have to return.

I wanted to like this shoe but the arch support was too stiff and shoe just overall not comfortable to me. I had read a lot of the reviews and I have back and hip issues but this shoe wasn't for me. Zappos is the BEST! Thank you for your service to the consumer.

Just not as comfortable as I would expect from a shoe this expensive. Other Finns in the past have been wonderful, but not this model. Not enough arch support for me, and I couldn't get my orthotics to fit inside this shoe.

Sized small. I even got a size up from my usual size and it was too tight. She was very narrow also. I don't know if I went form my normal medium to a wide if it would have helped after I upsized, but I wasn't going to try it out as i don't think the shoe should be sized so differently than normal.

Looks good, but not a comfortable shoe for walking more than 30 minutes. Insole needs more cushioning. I will use - for its solid construction - as a motorcycle passenger.

Left shoes seemed tighter and shorter than the right. I'm certain that this shoe was returned previously as it had been worn. I keep trying Finn brand because it's known for great comfort and support, but my feet don't feel the comfort. No more Finn for me. Returning them.
